Chloe gets involved in Mac and Billy's dispute, Phyllis tells Nick what she learned, and Patty hides things!

Chloe and Chance sit in the living room discussing their relationship. She wants to know what her 'job' is in taking care of him - he says they're still negotiating that title. She warns him that she's a fierce negotiator. He smiles. When his stitches cause him pain, they have a brief spat about him returning to work.

Out on the terrace, Billy talks to Mac about Phillip deciding to return to Australia. Mac starts to tell him about being at Lily's house, but he cuts her off - he doesn't want to hear anything about it. Just then, Chance and Chloe walk out. Chloe asks if they're having a baby, but Billy tells her Mac is having Cane and Lily's baby. Chloe remarks, "Wow." They all discuss the issue. Chance says it must mean a lot to them, and Chloe remarks that Billy must be proud - he's always saying how selfless Mac is! Mac murmurs that Billy's not actually thrilled. Chloe says to give him time - he'll soon be back to worshiping the ground she waddles on! Chance takes Chloe inside, and Billy invites Mac in to talk too. Mac declines. Billy walks off.

Inside the Chancellor Mansion, Chloe and Chance have made hot chocolate. Mac comes in, and Chloe invites her to join them. She tells her that she thinks she's doing the right thing - Mac replies that she knows she is. Chloe says Billy will get past this, but Mac disagrees. Chloe offers maternity clothes, and Mac smiles, shakes her head, and goes upstairs. Chance asks if Chloe cares that Billy is available again - because it seems like she does. Chloe denies it.

Jack is at Crimson Lights flirting with Emily. He tells her to call him when she's ready for their date. She leaves and Jack calls Nick to see how he's feeling about the business deal. Nick says he's interested, but just got home and will call him tomorrow.

Nick walks into his house, and finds Phyllis distraught and insisting that they need a new sofa! She explains that she's the reason that Patty attacked Summer - she followed Jack there and saw them through the window. Nick asks if they were talking? Phyllis says they weren't - they were having sex! Nick is taken aback, but Phyllis makes it clear that he has no place to be upset about the sex - he had left her to be with Sharon, and Sharon had left Jack. Nick listens as she explains that Patty thought she wanted Jack, and that's why she attacked Summer. Tearfully, Phyllis asks Nick how she is supposed to live with that?! Nick tells Phyllis that Patty is a lunatic! Phyllis says if only she wasn't so lonely and vulnerable... Nick jumps in and says it's his fault - he's the one who abandoned her and left. They agree that it could have been much worse - Patty could have come in the house that night with Summer upstairs. Phyllis brings up Emily Peterson - why didn't she fix Patty - that's her job. Nick says she's just looking for a place to direct her rage. Nick tells her they all have some blame in this, but no one has done more than Phyllis to make it right - she's the best mother Summer could ask for. He encourages her to focus on moving forward. They kiss, and go up to bed to make love. After, Nick leaves Jack a phone message that the Chancellor stock deal between them is not going to happen!

At the Ranch, Adam fusses over what to wear and asks Ashley's advice. She realizes he wants to impress someone. Just then, Sharon calls him - she says she made reservations for them, but Adam thought they were going to meet at her house. Sharon says it's time for him to come out of hiding. Jack arrives and trades a barb with Adam, before asking Ashley again about the Chancellor stock. Ashley says she will be investing in it - she just won't be doing it with him! They argue as she tries to explain her reasons, and Jack pushes about Jabot being their legacy. Ashley says he's done too many things she disapproves of - he needs to accept this! Jack leaves, and Adam asks Ashley about the project she mentioned to him. She says she still can't tell him any details. She wonders who he's seeing tonight. He keeps mum.

Paul is with Patty in her room. They look at photos and discuss old memories. Emily comes in to check on Patty. Paul tells Emily that it's been a good visit - she hasn't mentioned Jack or made any threats. Patty finds a picture of herself and remarks that she looks like a bride. Patty shows them some cut-outs she made, and indicates the child safety scissors. She says there are a lot of dangerous people in there. Emily asks if she thinks she's dangerous? Patty laughs - she could never hurt anyone! Emily tells Paul that Patty is blocking out the fact that she's hurt people. Paul feels they're making progress. Emily has to go, so Paul walks her outside the door. Patty pulls out a drawing of her and Jack and says, "Don't worry, Jack. They want to take you away, but I won't let them." Paul comes to give Patty a hug goodbye. After he leaves, she starts drawing her bridal bouquet. She takes a cut-out of Jack and mangles the eyes with her scissors, and saying the last time they were together he wasn't a very good boy!

Jack meets Emily at the Club and gives her a huge bouquet of flowers. He takes her to a surprise location - the Abbott Mansion. He introduces himself as her waiter for the evening. Emily remarks how nice this is - no one staring at her because of Patty. Jack says he'll be the only one staring at her tonight. They sit down with a drink, and she expresses dismay that she was so hard on him in the beginning. Jack says at least they can avoid the conversation where they expose their baggage. Emily wonders why he stays in his childhood home - it's easy to slip into old patterns there. Jack says it's his father's home, it's too difficult to leave. He tells her he's disillusioned with his siblings. Emily says if he lets go of an old dream, he can make room for a new one.

Jack takes Emily back to the Club after their dinner and says goodnight. When they kiss, Paul, who is in the dining room, notices and doesn't look happy about it. As Jack watches Emily walk up the stairs, he sees a message from Nick on his phone.

Ashley meets with Billy on the patio at the coffee house. He says he asked her to come to talk about Mac - she doesn't want to be with him anymore. He explains about the surrogacy, and Ashley says the baby would be Cane and Lily's - besides, as far as she understands, this was just the last straw. Ashley tells Billy that she's had her eyes opened with Victor. Billy doesn't want to have his eyes opened to life without Mac.

Sharon arrives at the Ranch, where the nanny has just run out on Adam because her father had a heart attack, leaving him with the baby. Adam tells Sharon he can't leave to go out with her. Sharon says that's fine - they'll just stay there. Adam listens as she says she just wants to spend time with him. Sharon suggests they watch a video, which leads to a conversation about his limited vision. When Adam goes to get drinks, Sharon hears Faith begin to cry in the monitor. She goes to get the baby. When Adam returns, he sees Sharon holding Faith and looks dumbstruck!
