Someone pops the question, Amber pays Kevin a visit, and Neil does some thinking.
Daniel and Amber are at home. He asks her what takeout food she wants, and she blurts, "I can't do this!" Amber is worried about Kevin, and tells Daniel that she had almost reached him when Jeff Bardwell walked into the boxcar and ruined things. Daniel snaps and tells her to stop obsessing about Kevin! She says she can't walk away from Kevin - even if Daniel can! Daniel says he needs her - what if he'd lost her in all of this - she could even go to jail! He laments that all of the dreams they shared together are at risk. Amber tells Daniel that nothing is more important to her than him. They kiss.
Jana pays Kevin a visit in the mental hospital. She shares that her Ouiji board told her that he would be home soon - maybe they could take a holiday. She cries when he refuses to acknowledge her. When Jana says she believes in him, he suddenly hears the chipmunk voice in his head calling him 'zombie boy', he shouts, "Stop talking! Shut up and leave me alone!" Jana waits, then tries again. She takes his chin in her hand and pulls his face gently toward her - to force him to look at her. In his mind, he tells Jana he loves her, but the chipmunk taunts him. In his hallucination, Amber tells him not to listen to the chipmunk. Kevin sighs, "Amber." Jana gasps.
Neil sits dismally on the sofa at home. Devon arrives to get some of Ana's things. He tells Neil he can't forget what he and Tyra did, but today he did a really good thing for Ana - he won't forget that either! Neil says he'll miss Ana. Devon asks if Neil has any ideas about getting together with Tyra - because he doesn't want to see her get hurt! Neil says he can't imagine that right now, after the way her hurt Karen - he didn't even recognize that part of himself! Devon leaves.
At home together, Cane and Lily snuggle on the couch. He tells her that he quit Chancellor - he didn't want a job that would follow him home. Lily says she is going to finish college, but she misses modeling. They grin about starting over - together! They discuss how they had planned to one day have a family, and talk about her lost pregnancy. Lily tells him she still wants to have his baby. He smiles, "Does that mean marriage is back on the table?" Lily tells him to ask and find out! He fetches the ring, kneels in front of her and says, "Wedding proposal: take four." Cane pops the question and she says yes!
Sharon is leaving her room and finds Nick outside the door. They go back inside so that Sharon can tell Nick about her run-in with Noah - he hates her! She says she is going to turn herself in, but Nick says she's doing no such thing! Nick tells her to do community service if it makes her feel better - but she can't go to jail - think of Noah.
At Crimson Lights, Lauren and Phyllis are met by Detective Gil and Michael. He has some questions about the stolen items found in Sharon's room, and leaves them with an envelope of photos. Phyllis recognizes Victor's egg statue, as well as her monkey statue - she tells Michael she wants to press charges. Michael wonders about Lauren - the things stolen from Fenmores were valuable. Lauren says they always prosecute shoplifters. Michael points out that Phyllis only wants Sharon in jail to keep her away from Nick. Phyllis tells Lauren that she has reason to be jealous - Sharon slept with her husband - twice! Phyllis tells them that she still loves him, asking, "What am I supposed to do?" Lauren advises that she take Sharon out of the equation - the problems are between her and Nick - if she keeps making it about Sharon she'll push him away!
Jana turns up at Daniel and Amber's apartment just as they are beginning to get amorous. Frustrated, Daniel opens the door - it's Jana. Their friend is suffering another headache, and recounts what happened on her visit with Kevin - she thinks Amber may be the only person who can get through to him!
Devon and Cane meet up in the coffee house. They discuss that what happened in court was best for Ana. Cane expresses concern about Neil.
Lily visits Neil. They discuss his marriage to Karen - he says he knew he was putting their relationship on the line. Neil remembers how she put a smile on his face when she came into his life. Lily shares her engagement news, and tells Neil that Cane also dropped the custody suit. Neil is very happy for her! After she leaves, Neil takes off his wedding ring and remembers taking his vows with Karen.
Amber, Daniel, and Jana arrive at the mental hospital. Amber heads in to see Kevin as Daniel calls out for her to be careful. She greets Kevin, but he doesn't respond. Outside the cell, Jana senses tension in Daniel, who tells her that Kevin seems to have taken over Amber's life! He then apologizes, and Jana says they all have to be patient. She looks in at Amber and Kevin. As Amber urges Kevin to fight, he hallucinates that she and the chipmunk are dancing. He remembers Amber cradling him in the boxcar, and says, "Amber. You're here!" He manages to convey to her that he's afraid of the chipmunk - she insists that the next time he sees it - he should confront it and see who is behind the mask - it's the only way!
Lauren and Michael are alone having dinner at the Club. Lauren says he has been through so much lately. Eden's name comes up and Lauren tells him that she's already discussed the sex thing with her. Michael tells his wife that she is the reason he is able to cope with everything. Sharon approaches and says she's been advised not to discuss the stolen items, but will explain everything later on. Lauren confronts her about letting Eden get arrested for the stolen books. Sharon, stunned, says she is sorry, to which Lauren replies, "You're going to be sorry - I'm pressing charges!"
Phyllis visits Nick at Newman and asks him to come home so they can talk. He says that's why he had to leave - they can't talk without yelling at one another - he needs space. Phyllis replies that she really needs him to come home. She says that if he doesn't come home it might be the end for them. He wonders if it's an ultimatum, but Phyllis admits she's just scared. He says he is too, but he can't come home right now.
Back at Cane's house, Cane gives Lily a day planner with May 15 marked off. He asks, "Does that sound like a good day for a wedding?" Lily embraces him!
