Kevin panics in the trunk, Ashley makes a big announcement, and Nick pays someone a visit!
At the coffee house, Jana continues telling Gloria how proud she is of her for dumping Jeffrey. Amber comes in, and Gloria notes it's been a long time since Kevin left! Gloria tells them that she believed Katherine was herself before anyone - Kevin will get to the bottom of it! Amber says she got a message from Kevin earlier but didn't listen to it clearly. She takes Jana aside and says she's going to look for Kevin, but don't tell Gloria - she might mess everything up. Jana says she's sick of this nonsense. Gloria looks suspicious as Amber walks out.
Outside the motel, Kevin shouts in the car's trunk, while inside the motel, Esther and Katherine try to yell through their gags. Clint sets the bomb and says that soon they'll be dead! As the threesome heads for the car, Annie sneaks back in and removes their gags. They beg her not to leave them, but she runs. Still in the trunk, Kevin starts to panic, flashing back to being locked in the closet as a young child!
Sharon and Noah bring Doris into Crimson Lights. Noah takes off to take a friend in the car - he points out a girl named Mia. Sharon is surprised. Sharon says that love shouldn't be a difficult thing, and gets a far-off look. Doris says she should be the one taking care of her - she brings up the forgetfulness, and the guilt over Brad's death. Sharon wonders if she's implying that she's weak. She spills a drink on her mother and goes to the counter to get a cloth. While she's there, she puts someone's phone in her purse - Doris sees and comes over. She takes the phone out of Sharon's purse and puts it on the counter. Sharon has no idea how it got in her purse, but Doris says she put it there - she needs a doctor. Sharon disagrees, and abruptly says she's taking Doris home!
Nick and Phyllis kiss at the Club, where they've arrived for dinner. JT and Victoria arrive, with him asking how she'll handle a whole dinner with Ashley. Just then, Nikki appears, and realizes that they're all there to celebrate Victor's birthday. Nikki says she's meeting Paul and smiles as she walks away, but once she's out of sight, she looks unhappy.
Heather and Paul speak outside the coffee house. He asks why she would talk to Victor on Adam's behalf - why would she even want to help him in any way after the way he treated her?! Heather explains that she has compassion after seeing Adam in jail. Paul says he doesn't deserve it - especially from her. Heather regrets telling him.
Victor and Ashley settle at their table at the Club, and are joined by Nick, Victoria, and their spouses. Ashley explains that Abby had gone to the coffee house to pick up a cake for Victor. Nick says that Noah won't be coming. When Victor leaves the table to take a call, his children and their spouses make excuses to leave the table as well, leaving Ashley sitting alone! Victor spots Nikki, who calls him over - she needs a favor. She holds up a photo of Katherine's ring, and tells him it's about to be auctioned off and it's not right - it shouldn't be pawed by strangers! Victor says he'll see what he can do.
Abby walks into Crimson Lights, where Noah introduces her to his date Mia. When the girl walks away, Abby chastises Noah for thinking she's stupid - she knows Mia's only a cover - he's still seeing Eden! Noah admits it. When Abby leaves, Noah calls Eden and says, "So far, so good!"
Heather goes to see Adam in his cell. He asks what the emergency is - more charges. She gives him the name of a public defender that she thinks could help him - Rafe's good, but they've had issues. Adam is very skeptical about her wanting to help him. He orders the guards to show her out, and she drops her purse to the floor. She gathers her things up, and realizes that Adam seems unaware of what she is doing. She leaves but comes back - silently she watches as Adam fumbles around his cell - he seems to be unable to see very well - he doesn't even know she's there!
Nick and Phyllis are hanging out in the lobby of the GCAC, kissing. Phyllis says she is glad they're getting back on track. He says nothing will come between them - not even Sharon - never again. Phyllis goes to freshen up, and Sharon appears. She asks Nick, "That's it? Never again?" She then goes upstairs.
Nikki has taken a table. Victoria approaches. Nikki says Victor just did something nice for her! Vikki says she'll call her later. Paul arrives and Nikki fills him in as well. He seems put out, and says he's suspicious of the gesture. He says that he's seen Victor let her down so many times, and he's worried Heather may be going down the same road with Adam! Nikki reassures him. Paul takes a phone call and leaves the table. Victor, meanwhile, has returned to Ashley, who tells him that she didn't buy him a birthday gift, but she made him one. Actually, they made it together. "I'm pregnant." Victor takes her in his arms looking very pleased. He wants to tell the others, but Ashley says not tonight. When they are all seated again, Victor opens cards and gifts. Nick seems very distracted, and excuses himself abruptly from the table. Phyllis looks confused. As Nikki walks past the table, Victor announces that his beautiful Ashley is pregnant! Awkwardness ensues. Phyllis pipes up and congratulates them, as does JT, but Victoria is obviously not happy, even as she holds up her glass for a toast. Abby says she's thrilled and is going to text Noah. Phyllis says she's going to find Nick.
Clint, Roger, and Annie are driving up the road, and Clint talks about stopping for food - blowing people up makes him hungry! Both Roger and Annie seem to have reservations as they listen to Kevin scream in the trunk. In Kevin's mind, he is back in the closet! When the trio finally stops, they open the trunk and see that Kevin is terrified - Clint orders Annie to give him another shot of the 'happy juice'! She does.
Nick knocks at the door to Sharon's room. When she opens the door, he takes her in his arms without a word and they begin kissing passionately!
Esther and Katherine holler and yell for help inside the motel room. Esther sobs and Katherine says not to give up hope. As they try to move their chairs across the floor, Katherine tips over. Outside, Amber approaches the door - they call out to her to hurry! Amber gets a housekeeping trolley and busts into the room. She struggles to untie the women. Suddenly, Gloria, who has followed Amber, appears, screaming Katherine's name. She helps to finish untying. Just as they are rushing outside, Katherine appears to stumble, and the bomb explodes!
