The new issue hits the shelves, Sharon is angry with Jack, Katherine fears disaster and reaches out to Sabrina,

At the ranch, Sabrina greets Victor. He was up early, taking a walk to see the sunrise. He tells her that he still has to write a check for the gala. A call comes in from a journalist. He says that they liked the article. He laughs when asked if he's critical of it. He decides to call Eddie to get them a copy. It soon arrives and they excitedly flip though. As she reads it over, the smile drops from her face. "This is not the article that Adrian showed us," she says. As he reads it through, she insists that none of it is true. She weeps and Victor says that if Jack was responsible for this, he would understand, but having his own children involved is a disappointment.

At Restless Style, Phyllis is excited about how sales will go today. Nick is still anxious; they need good sales now. Phyllis tells him not to worry so much; everyone will want to read about Victor Newman's daughter. Nick continues to worry.

At the Abbott house, Jack surprises Sharon by suggesting that they take it easy and stay home today. She reminds him about the gala. He concedes that they have to go and need whatever publicity they can get, good or bad. He flashes back to tampering with Korbel's article on Sabrina. The mail arrives with a letter from Noah. They begin discussing her ideas for the new issue. Jack worries that Nick isn't willing to do what is necessary to make a splash in the publishing business. They need controversy, he says. He wants something special and if he had the chance to do things himself, he could have made this a great success by now.

At Crimson lights, Jana reads the article on Sabrina aloud and is shocked. Kevin, Colleen and the others are amazed by how trashy is sounds. Colleen thinks Adrian would never write anything like this. Daniel says otherwise.
At the club, Nikki sits with Katherine and they discuss the gala. She explains that Jabot and Restless Style are co-sponsoring and David is now involved. "Isn't that like letting the fox into the hen house?" Katherine queries. Nikki makes excuses. Katherine worries about Victor's involvement and how Sabrina could have signed off on this, essentially pushing Newman into the background for the event. David walks in with a copy of the new issue of Restless Style and lays it on the table. They read the article and Katherine is soon furious. Nikki looks for excuses. Katherine worries about what this could mean for the gala.

At Crimson Lights, JT brings Victoria a copy of the magazine. He's eager to get out of town with her but she needs to stick around for the gala. After reading the article, JT wants to get out of town even more. Victoria is sure that this is going to be a disaster. This article only confirms everything she's suspected about Sabrina all along. Nikki soon arrives, complimenting her daughter on her cover picture. She wonders if the article could be true. Victoria says it rings true to her. Nikki explains that Katherine is worried about the gala.

Back at Restless Style, Phyllis and Nick are busy handling calls. The sales numbers are coming in and are amazingly good. Nick is shocked that people think the issue is so controversial and decides to take another look at the article. He quickly realizes that it is not the one they approved. They wonder who could have made the changes. He gets on the phone to find out but can't track down Korbel. Victor suddenly pops up demanding answers. Nick refuses to retract anything until he double checks things himself. Victor is sure that Jack is behind this and tells his son that he better fix this. He throws the magazine down and stomps off.

Amber walks into Crimson Lights for a caramel cappuccino. Daniel runs up to her and tells her that Adrian just trashed Sabrina. "That guy is one piece of work," he says, rubbing it in. Meanwhile, Colleen insists to her father that the article doesn't seem like something Adrian would write. Brad is sure it's exactly the kind of things he would do. He's also sure that there are some very outraged people out there right now.
Back at Jack's, the phone rings while he works. Sharon assumes he's hiding something since he isn't answering. He explains that he is buying time until they get the sales figures. He had to make sure that sales went up exponentially so he made a few changes to the article. She reads it over and realizes it is a horrible article. He claims he didn't make any of it up and repeats that they should wait for the sales figures. She doesn't care about that, she cares that he's lied to her again. "Once you calm down you'll see that I saved the magazine," he justifies, insisting that he was only protecting her by not telling her. She thought he wanted to be a better man. He says this "cheap shot" has saved hundred of jobs and that makes him a better man. Sharon is sure that she's going to come out of this looking like an idiot.

Katherine arrives at the ranch to see Sabrina. She tells her that she doesn't believe a word of the article and is there to support her. Sabrina is happy to hear it, though she's sure the rest of Genoa City will treat it like gospel. Katharine tells her to keep her head high. Sabrina can't face the gala. A call comes in about the article. Katharine says it's not worth the paper it's printed on and hangs up. Sabrina feels terrible. Katharine informs her that Victoria approved of Restless Style and Jabot co-sponsoring the event. This infuriates Sabrina, who assumes this is an attempt to get back at her and Victor. She can't imagine why Victoria is being so spiteful. Katherine tells her stories of her own scandalous past and how she refused to ever let anyone get to her. Sabrina thinks her situation is different; the instant it became known she was involved with Victor, she became a pariah.

Amber arrives at Restless Style. Phyllis interrogates her about Adrian's article. Amber didn't even read it, she claims. Phyllis continues to prod until Daniel stops her. Nick comes out and explains that Jack is responsible. He leaves and Phyllis stalks over to her son to discuss Amber. He has no desire to talk. She continues to probe. He asks her to keep it to work related discussions. His mother seems devious. "If you fire her, I will never speak to you again," he threatens. He likes how uncomfortable Amber makes her. Being with his father finally made him realize what it was like to be treated like an adult.
At the ranch, Sabrina is refusing to go to the gala. Victor tells her she's tougher than that and needs to dig down deep and prove to people what she's made of. "Anyone that looks at you sideways, you spit in their eye," he advises.

Back at Crimson Lights, Jana wishes that Amber and Daniel could kiss and make up. Kevin tells her to stay out of it. Daniel explains to Amber how his mother blocked all of his emails. She says that she was really hurt when she didn't hear from him but she has no excuse for what she did. He says that they still are never getting back together. He doesn't care what she tells people, as long as she doesn't tell them what really happened.

Victoria meets Katherine at the club. Victoria claims that her quotes in the article were taken out of content. That may be, but Katherine is still furious that she has pushed Sabrina out of her role as co-chair. David and Nikki pass by and he sets up a meeting with Katherine before running off. Nikki sits down and tries to put the best face on things, even if it looks like Sabrina is now out. "Nikki, Nikki, Nikki... how long have you known Victor?" Katherine shakes her head. Brad strolls by and sticks his head in, claiming that he doesn't believe a word of what Korbel wrote.

Across the room, Sharon sits down with Phyllis and says that Jack isn't coming. She insists that she didn't know anything about the article changes. Phyllis marvels at how far Jack will go to get ahead. Sabrina arrives, much to everyone's surprise. "Hello everyone. Sorry I'm late," she announces as she makes her entrance and the photos snap.

At home, Jack is thrilled by news of all the sales. When he opens the door, he finds Nick waiting for him.
