As Victor is sprung from jail and calls Jack to issue a warning, Gloria declares war on Jeffrey as he plans his proposal and tells Gloria he's having her followed!
After being placed under arrest in front of his employees, including Neil and Nick, Victor is taken into the elevator at Newman Enterprises by Maggie and the police officers. Nick tells him he'll have Michael Baldwin down at the jail by the time he gets there!
Jack comes home with Sharon's favorite flowers. She stands up to greet him and they get mushy. He tells her he just took Ashley to the airport and tried to talk her into coming back to live there. Sharon speculates that she must like L.A. Jack says he isn't so sure about that - she said she really misses Genoa City. They happily decide to have a family pizza & movie night. Suddenly the doorbell rings. It's a reporter looking for a comment from Jack on Victor's arrest. Jack says, "It looks like the police have finally done their job!" After he closes the door, he murmurs, "Victor Newman in jail, why that is cause to celebrate!" In the next room, Sharon hears him and looks unsure. Jack begins to think about all of the arguments he has had with Victor, and about all of Victor's threats. Sharon comes into the room and they discuss his being happy about the arrest. A noticeably unhappy Sharon says she's going to ask Noah what movie he wants to watch.
At the Club, Gloria, Kevin, Lauren and Michael sit eating when he takes the call from Nick telling him about Victor's arrest. Amid comments about "Teflon Jack" from the Fisher clan, Michael excuses himself. On his way out the door he runs into David and Nikki coming in. He tells her what has happened and she immediately ditches David, and their scheduled meeting, to go find Nicholas! Still at the table, Lauren, Gloria and Kevin exclaim about the possibility that Victor killed Ji Min. Kay and Jill come in for a meeting and overhear. They join the table and an angry Jill huffs, "Victor didn't go that far, Jack went that far!" Katherine suggests they all get down to business and they begin to discuss the Fresh Faces of Jabot campaign. A catty Jill asks Gloria if work is interfering with her social life. Surprised, Gloria asks what she means. Jill tells her she had lunch with Jeffrey Bardwell and he was gushing about her! Kevin excuses himself, Kay jumps up to go greet Cane, and Jeffrey himself shows up and joins Jill and Gloria. Across the room, Kay whispers to Cane about Victor's arrest and how it may change everything. When Kay returns to the table, Gloria tells her she'll accompany them back to the office, but Jeffrey stops her. Once alone, he fills her in on his plan to propose to her in public. She refuses the idea, but says she'll allow him to do it in front of her family. He says fine and asks her for $50,000 to buy an engagement ring! Gloria reluctantly makes out a check and Jeffrey makes a remark to her about liking jewelry. She looks up in surprise, and he admits that he knows she has been buying up expensive baubles. She realizes that he is having her followed! As he kisses her and leaves, Gloria grimaces. Lauren, who has been hovering, approaches the table and asks Gloria why she wants to have a dinner party for that man, when her body language says she can't stand him. She tells her mother-in-law if she's in trouble, she'd better confess because she and Michael don't want anymore surprises!
Devon, Roxy, and Lily sit at a table in Crimson Lights looking at school courses when Cane walks in. Lily thinks back to the conversation they had where he told her he couldn't get involved with her. Their eyes meet across the room and Devon notices and points it out to Roxy. When Cane leaves, Lily goes to the ladies room and soon after leaves the coffeehouse. Devon suggests to Roxy that they set her up with someone. Roxy makes a call to a guy named Alex and Devon arranges with Lily to meet him at Neil's Club the following night. Neil comes in and approves!...Meanwhile, Lily goes to Jabot and runs into Cane. They agree it is silly to keep avoiding one another. They decide to start seeing each other again - not as friends!
Down at the jail, Michael has arrived and Victor demands that he get him released immediately. Michael tells him he'll have to get someone from the house to bring his passport. Victor agrees, "You get the passport, then get me the hell out of here. I'm not going to spend one night in here, you got that?! And whoever has planted evidence is going to pay. They're going to pay!" Michael says he'll do his best, but warns Victor to keep his temper under control!... Meanwhile, in Heather's office, she and Maggie discuss the case and Maggie notes that Heather looks worse than yesterday. Suddenly, Michael Baldwin knocks and comes in. He mocks their evidence, but Heather defends it. The ladies fill Michael in on the latest about the surveillance tape.
Nikki arrives at Newman Enterprises and asks Nick how he is doing. Nick asks his mother if she thinks Victor is guilty. She tells him that she can't allow herself to even think such a thing! Neil is supervising the press release. Reporters continue to call looking for Nikki. Neil says he'll write up a statement for her - she thanks him. David overhears and asks her why she is issuing a statement of support for Victor - it's a conflict of interest when she is suing him!
Back at the jail, Michael and Nick, who has come to post bail, are both in attendance as Victor is released from jail... Michael heads to the Club to meet up with Lauren again. They discuss whether Heather will go after Michael due to him getting Phyllis off on appeal... Meanwhile, Nikki arrives at the ranch and she thanks Nick for posting Victor's bail. Victor comes downstairs and Nikki says it's a relief to see him at home and not in jail. A brooding Victor virtually ignores her and leaves. Katherine and Jill come in to check on Victor, but are told that he is gone. Kay is concerned... Victor, meanwhile has gone to his office and places a call to Jack. Surprised that he is out of jail, Jack spars with him over who is 'winning the game'. Victor accuses him of planting the evidence, and tells him it is only a matter of time before the D.A. agrees. Jack replies, "I won't hold my breath" and hangs up. A disturbed Sharon stands listening.
Gloria catches up with Kevin at Crimson Lights and fills him in on Jeffrey's plan to propose and the fact that he is having her followed. Kevin is impressed, but Gloria says she needs his help - this is war!... Lauren, meanwhile is telling Michael about the dinner party and how strange Gloria is acting, like she loves Jeff and hates him at the same time!

Phyllis tells Jack, "I know you're capable of some pretty under-handed stuff." Jack smiles, "Right back at ya', beautiful!"
