Chance lashes out, Katherine reveals her plans, and Jill hires Paul!
Cane and Lily wake up together, smiling. He offers to make breakfast, but that's not what she wants - they kiss. Cane asks what she wants to do today. Lily looks thoughtful, and he asks if she's okay. She notes that she's been nothing more than a cancer patient for so long - and the past couple of days haven't been like that - it's felt so good. Cane says he loves her.
At Chancellor Industries, Katherine and Jill bicker about the press release Jill put out regarding Jabot. Neil comes in, and Katherine announces that she'll be making a change - and it involves them both. Katherine is planning to make some acquisitions, and to raise capital, she's considering taking Chancellor public. Jill reminds her that it means they'd have shareholders to please, but she says she agrees with the idea - Neil does too. When Katherine announces that she wants them both to benefit from this, they are stunned. Kay says they're both family. Neil thanks her and goes to make calls. Jill asks her why she brought her in on this? Katherine admits she wanted to make a grand gesture after all the years of pain - she wants her forgiveness. Jill is moved. Kay says seeing what's happened to Lily and Colleen has lit a fire under her. When Kay alludes to an emptiness inside, Jill reminds her she's surrounded by love. Katherine says she has a daughter out there. Jill muses, "Yeah. The one you thought was me." Katherine would like to make amends - if Jill will let her. They clasp hands and smile.
Paul and Nina have coffee on the patio at the coffee house. They discuss the article in Restless Style. Paul notes that Patty was exploited again - not that she's aware of it. Nina feels she'll start remembering things when she gets stronger. Paul admits Patty still thinks she's a newlywed - Nina is stunned. Nina asks about the doctor. Paul says she and Dr. Peterson have a strong bond. Nina asks about Nikki and Paul scoffs that she's left town with Victor. They share a laugh as she wryly jokes about cheering him up. Phillip comes in, and Paul shakes his hand before leaving. Phillip and Nina discuss Chance - he tells her that he's not really getting anywhere with him, but he's not giving up. Nina invites Phillip back to the house to see some photos.
Jack and Emily meet up in the Club. She confronts him about his brother's article. Jack says Billy was very fond of Colleen, but he didn't agree with what he did. Dr. Peterson is dubious. Jack points out that she bases her life's work on the belief that people can change and grow, but she doesn't seem to think he's capable of that! She sits down and they discuss Patty - he wants to help her - Emily says he should just stay away. She mentions that she's leaving town, and Jack is taken aback - she has a bond with Patty! Jack wonders what it would take for her to stay. Emily says he's just trying to alleviate his guilt - it's not her problem!
Devon and Roxy happily spend time together at Crimson Lights. They make plans to go out of town that night, but Devon wants to check on Lily first - she was acting weird last night. Roxy sighs, and points out that Lily was trying to get rid of them because they had just renewed their vows - think 'honeymoon'!
At the Chancellor Estate, Chance runs into Chloe. She asks where he's been? He says he's been working a lot. She tells him that Billy showed up and kissed her and she blew him off. Chance says it's good that she did that, then excuses himself to get breakfast. When he returns, she quizzes him about his muted response to her news. Chance says he's proud of her. She asks him to hang out later, but he makes excuses and turns her down. Chance goes for a run and comes back to find Chloe still there. She asks again why he's acting like this - he wanted her to finish with Billy. Chance is skeptical that she's really over him. Chloe says she's been dying to tell Chance what happened with Billy - she thought it would mean something.
Paul comes into the Club and walks over to Jack and Emily, who explains that she and Paul have a meeting. Jack excuses himself. Paul sits down and pleads with Emily to stay on longer - even relocate. She promises not to let Patty fall through the cracks, but she needs to go home. Paul wishes her a good trip and thanks her for everything. Once alone, Emily gets a phone call - it's someone named Dr. Lambert. She says she's available.
Neil arrives at Crimson Lights, and notes to Devon that Roxanne seems very happy. Devon grins. Neil asks if he's seen Lily - he's trying not to hover. Devon says he has, and that Cane appears to be taking good care of her. Neil wants to believe it will last. They discuss Devon's future plans - he'll focus on music. Neil offers to help him financially. Devon is thrilled that Neil believes in him. Roxanne comes back and Devon kisses her, telling her he knows how lucky he is!
In the bookstore, Lily and Cane canoodle and kiss. She sits down and peruses a cookbook, and hands Cane a car magazine, noting that she knows what he likes. Cane grins, saying, "You certainly do."
As Jill and Katherine continue to discuss Chancellor Industries going public, Jack comes into the office. Kay asks what she can do for him? He announces he's pulling the plug on an online venture that was Jill's brainchild. Jill shocks Jack by going along with it. When Jill leaves the room, Jack tells Kay that Jill is only that nice to him when she knows something he doesn't! Katherine says it's not about Jabot or him. Jack says he's terrified over Jill's new attitude - it's highly suspicious. Kay simply says it's none of his business. He vows to find out, and Kay laughs.
Lily and Cane arrive home bearing the ingredients for pot roast. Neil arrives at the same time. Neil notes how lovey-dovey they are. Lily tells her father that their commitment is deeper now, in fact, they have renewed their vows! Neil says he can see how happy she is, and he says he's happy for her.
Chance and Chloe meet up again in the Chancellor living room to go another round. As they bicker, Nina and Phillip walk in. Chance sighs. Phillip awkwardly says they should probably just go. Chance explodes, yelling that he should go - running is what he's so good at! Chance then calls his father a gutless coward! Nina gasps, and Chance continues to lash out at Phillip - he says he was never there, he had a father - his name was Ryan! Phillip is relieved that Chance is finally expressing his honest feelings, but Chance's anger remains.
Dr. Peterson meets with Dr. Lambert in the Club. He makes her a job offer to join his team. Emily is thrilled until he mentions that they are funded by the Abbott Foundation.
Jill meets with Paul at the Club and tells him there is someone she wants him to find - Katherine's real daughter!

Emily says to Jack, "Throwing your money around, buying everything you want. Not this time, Mr. Abbott - I'm not for sale!"
Nina tells Paul that Chloe is in love with Billy. Paul says he thinks she likes Chance!
Cane calls Neil from the hospital and tells him Lily's been admitted. Neil asks, "What happened?!"
