Victor looks back on his life, Billy digs more dirt, and Ashley makes a decision.
Nikki and Victor lie in bed together and look at the ring he gave her. He tells her that the ring is a promise to take things one step at a time - together. They get out of bed and she fiddles with his band-aid as she talks about telling the kids she's going away with him. Victor is confident Victoria will handle the SCC business fine. Victor beams at Nikki as he tells her to go ahead and tell the kids at Newman - he'll join her there.
At Newman, Victoria is on the phone saying she has no comment on the SCC investigation. Adam comes into her office and offers to lighten her load while she handles the SCC stuff - Victor said he should take on more responsibilities. She tells him to analyze sales in all 50 states - and even visit them!
Katherine comes into Crimson Lights where Ashley and Jack are discussing his and Billy's article in RS. Kay slaps the magazine down on the table and says she's not pleased. Jack says if she wants to give him and Billy a piece of her mind, she'll have to get in line. He muses that maybe it's better Billy isn't coming back to Jabot, he and Ashley work well as a team. Kay is concerned it's too soon for Ashley to return. Ashley excuses herself.
Billy is at Restless Style arranging his Halloween bash over the phone with Mac. As he hangs up, Nick comes in. He tells him he wasn't kidding about evicting him - he's got until the end of the day to get out! After Nick walks out, a photographer comes in. He offers Billy an exclusive on photos of Deacon Sharpe showing up at Newman. Billy buys them and tells the guy to bring him anything else he digs up on the Newman family!
Nick is back at Newman, in the meeting room with Victoria and Adam. Nick talks about Billy, and Adam says he understands why he lashed out. Nick says, "I bet you do!" Adam says Billy will find out that it will come back to bite him. He leaves the room, and Victoria and Nick discuss the melee with Deacon and JT. She doesn't want to tell him what it's all about.
Victor pays a visit to Colleen's gravesite. He kneels down, places a red rose on the top, and prays while looking sorrowful. He then leaves.
Nikki visits Kay at the Chancellor Mansion and shows her the ring Victor gave her. She insists it's not an engagement ring. Katherine is pleased that they've gotten their act together, but asks what is actually going on between them - Nikki seems so happy! Nikki asks Katherine to join her - she and Victor will be making an announcement to the family soon!
Billy meets Deacon at Jimmy's Bar. He shows him the photographs. Deacon says JT was confused. Billy says he told him to stay away from his wife - what's so confusing? Billy smirks and notes that the pictures say it all. He leaves, and Deacon rolls his eyes.
Ashley pays Jack a visit at home to tell him that she's changed her mind - she won't return to Jabot. She explains that the girls need her more than ever - especially now that Victor is leaving town. Jack is taken by surprise by the news that Victor is leaving. Jack wonders if she'd work part-time, but Ashley insists that Abby has gone through too much - she needs her. Jack says he and Billy will be there for Abby in Victor's absence. Ash calls him out on helping Billy write the expose on her father. Jack admits they perhaps went too far. Ashley says she loves Victor, but she will never lose herself to anyone again!
In his room at the Club, Victor sits in front of a video camera and records a message for Faith. He says he's leaving, and notes that she will hear things about him - he'd like to tell his side of the story! He describes his familial history, why he gave himself the name Victor Newman, and recalls how he built up his business. He thinks back on some memories, and says he's been known to be ruthless. Victor adds that he has done some things he's not proud of, but he has no regrets! He then talks about the Abbotts, saying he respected John, and describes his feud with Jack. He says in spite of how misguided Jack is, they are actually similar in their desire to protect their families and those they love. He mentions true friends, and thinks back to memories of Neil, Katherine, Nikki, Hope, Colonol Douglas Austin, and his grown children. He tells the camera that no one can betray you more deeply than family, but no one can give you more happiness either, saying, "Family above all." He tells Faith that he's loved wonderful women, including her mother. He urges her to learn from her experiences, and tells her never to quit because she fails, and never to close her heart because she hurts. Victor tells Faith to keep him in her heart - he loves her.
Billy is at the Club asking a maid about Deacon Sharpe's room. He says he has a tip, then asks her if she's ever seen Victoria in Deacon's room. The maid says she has come and gone from there. Billy grins and tips the woman before leaving.
Nikki and Katherine arrive at Newman and Nikki tells Victoria and Nick that she and Victor have news - they would like to tell them together. She calls Victor and says that Nick, Victoria, and Adam have all arrived - is he coming? Victor tells her he's looking forward to it. Soon, the door opens and Victor has arrived. Victoria asks what the big announcement is?!
Back at Restless Style, Billy writes up a scandal piece on Victoria, Deacon, and JT. He grins with satisfaction as he finishes.
