Deacon gets his next assignment, Kevin springs Ryder, and Billy's offer is accepted!
At Restless Style, Nick and Phyllis discuss Victor, and how they hope he gets better no matter what he's done. They talk about Phyllis helping out at Newman, and how it would impact her workload at the magazine. Phyllis tells Nick someone wants to take it off her hands. She says it was their dream together, but that all changed - their daughter almost died there! Nick is taken aback that Phyllis has lost her interest in the magazine, and urges her not to sell it. She wonders why - because it's Billy offering to buy? He says he's concerned about her - she has loved working at the magazine. Phyllis says she wants to put her family first.
At Crimson Lights, Billy and Mac discuss him wanting to buy Restless Style. Chloe appears and gets in on the discussion. Mac is upset that Chloe knows his plans. Chloe taunts Mac, saying she's the reason he wants the magazine - he can't get enough of her! Mac asks what Phyllis thought of the idea? Chloe says she obviously thought it was lame. Billy insists that Phyllis had a look in her eye - it's not over yet. Mac and Chloe bicker, and Chloe says he should take a job at Jimmy's instead! Chloe gets a call from Chance and steps away. Mac tells Billy she thinks it would be great for him to buy the magazine. Billy says it's right - he doesn't even have to miss Delia because it's in Genoa City. They kiss as Chloe walks back over. Phyllis calls Billy to come to Restless Style!
Cane and Lily are at Indigo. Lily surprises Cane by telling him that Devon and Neil won't be thrilled that they've decided to stay together - and she can't really blame them! Cane realizes he'll have to win their trust back, but wonders if there's something else. Lily says it's hard to explain, then spots Roxanne. As they catch up, Devon and Cane go to get drinks. Lily tells Roxy that she and Cane have recommitted to one another, but are still sleeping separately. Lily says getting sick put things in perspective, then asks why things seem tense between Roxanne and Devon. Roxanne suddenly has to leave. Devon comes over and Lily asks him, "What did you do to her?" Devon says they broke up, and admits he cheated on her. Lily is astounded - even more so when she hears that it was with Tyra! Devon sighs, and says he and Neil have made peace, and Tyra is doing fine. Lily tells Devon that she and Cane are back together. Devon says as long as she's happy, that's all that matters.
In the coffee house, Michael and Kevin argue about Ryder. Lauren weighs in, saying Kevin doesn't owe Ryder anything! Michael takes a call, and Kevin turns to Jana, telling her he'd like to invite Ryder to stay with them. Jana is stunned! Kevin heads out, and Jana tells Michael and Lauren that she wants to support Kevin, but she has such a bad feeling about Ryder! Lauren says Ryder made the hair on the back of her neck stand up! Jana hopes that if Ryder is as bad as they think, that Kevin will see it. She muses that maybe they should keep their enemy close.
Deacon angrily storms in to see Ryder in jail. He tells him that Daniel pulled one over on him! He informs him that he's done with him and his old lady! Ryder says if he can suffer through jail, Deacon can put up with room service! Deacon says he wants out - she doesn't own him! Ryder asks if he wants to make a bet on that?! He brings up Deacon's son, and says that he's still on the payroll - his mother has come up with a new job for him - a way to redeem himself! Ryder hands him an envelope, and Deacon storms out. Ryder calls his mother, smirking that Deacon thinks he has a choice, and remarking that Kevin should be posting his bail any moment. Just then, Kevin appears and interrupts. Kevin tells him he's sprung - they embrace!
Daniel and Amber wake up together in their apartment. They start kissing in bed. Daniel gives Amber her ring and tells her why it reminds him of their love. He says he's never going to let her go again! Amber cries and puts on her ring, saying yes to another proposal. She's excited about planning their wedding and goes off on a tangent. Daniel would like to save up for a new place. Amber wonders if he wishes he'd kept the reward money, but they agree it's better to be done with Deacon's head games. Amber tells him that he's a creative genius in everything he does - whether it's photography, painting, or marriage proposals! They are happy to be back together. They kiss and talk about the future.
Cane arrives at the coffee house and spies Mac. She asks about Lily. He says she's with her family, then sits down and tells Mac that Lily has agreed to have a life with him again. He wonders if his deception is still hanging over them, though, as he sees second thoughts in her eyes. Mac is sorry, but tries to reassure him. She says she got past the fear with Billy, and Lily will too - just give her time.
Billy arrives at Restless Style, and is greeted by Nick and Phyllis. Chloe stands by. Nick asks why they should consider selling to someone who has shirked responsibility all his life - they want to know what he's bringing to the table. Billy says he's not going to say he's an expert. Nick wonders why they should sell this magazine they've nurtured? Chloe steps forward and gives a very convincing speech on Billy's behalf. Billy's pleased, and Phyllis and Nick look thoughtful. Billy makes the pair a good offer and they answer together, "We'll take it!"
Kevin arrives at Crimson Lights with Ryder. He tells everyone that he's never had anyone care for him, and acts overcome with emotion. Michael, Lauren, and Jana roll their eyes. Kevin is ticked. Jana tells her husband that Ryder can stay on the couch for one month. Michael agrees to help expedite Ryder's court case. Kevin is relieved. Lauren saunters over to Ryder and warns him if he messes with Kevin, or anyone in his family - he'll answer to her!
Still at Indigo, Lily remarks that she never expected Devon to be able to relate to Cane. Devon hopes Roxy will forgive him too. Suddenly, Roxanne appears and asks Devon to talk - she thinks maybe they have a chance. Devon embraces Roxanne, as Cane walks back in and grins at Lily. She says they said their wedding vows, but never had their first dance - they do.
Billy returns to Crimson Lights and tells Mac that Phyllis and Nick decided to sell to him. She wonders why he looks so glum. He says they accepted his first offer, which means he probably paid too much, and now he has to come up with the money!
At Restless Style, Chloe tells Phyllis and Nick she thinks they make a good decision. Phyllis teases her, saying they know she's thrilled, but warning that Billy will be the boss - she'll have to do whatever he says! Nick and Phyllis kiss as they realize that if the deal goes through, she'll be out of a job and will have more time for him.
Sitting alone at a table in the Club, Deacon opens the envelope Ryder gave him, which contains a photo of the target for his next assignment - it's Lauren and Michael! Deacon says to himself, "No way!" He rips the photo in half!
