Victor stuns Nick and Victoria, Billy oversteps with Chance, and Gloria is duped!
At the cabin, Billy and Mac sit on the sofa, while Chloe and Chance are at the table. The bickering starts up again about who should stay or go. Chloe suggests that they play Scrabble to decide who has to leave. Billy says, "Game on, Short Stuff!" Billy and Chloe indulge in a bit of trash talk as the game begins. Chloe's first word is 'leave'. Mac adds the word 'divorce', causing Billy to guffaw! Chance puts on the word, 'virgin'. Billy laughs, then quiets as he realizes that Chance is one! He recovers, and starts making jokes. Mac asks him to let it go, but Billy mocks Chloe, asking if she brought him up there so she could be his first. Chloe is taken aback, and Billy tells Chance he sure picked a good teacher! Chance explodes at Billy, yelling, "Enough!"
Michael visits Victor in the hospital. They discuss Newman Enterprises, and Michael tells him about the deal Adam brokered the other day. Victor remarks that he doesn't work there, and Michael says Victoria reminded Adam of that. Victor signs off on the deal, and Michael advises him to have a word with Adam.
Victoria and Nick walk into the Ranch, where Adam sits in the living room. He tells them they should have knocked. Nick says that as far as they're concerned, his free ride on their father's good graces ends now! Adam tells them that he made a good deal and saved both their butts! Nick says he had ulterior motives. Adam denies it, and leaves the room. Nick wants to go to talk to Victor. Victoria tells him to go ahead without her.
Deacon comes to see Amber in her room at the Club. He tells her to pack her bags - after he sells the Terroni tonight, he'll be taking her whereever she wants to go - and Daniel won't have a word to say about it!
Daniel and Kevin chat in the coffee house. Kevin wonders if Amber is trying to play Deacon, but Daniel insists he's the only one who was played. Daniel just wants out. Kevin isn't convinced that Amber has 'gone over to the darkside', but tells Daniel that he hid the painting anyway - his mother was making him nervous. He takes down the painting on the wall where he stashed the Terroni - it's gone! Kevin tells Daniel that Gloria must have taken it.
Jeff and Gloria sit at the Club. He asks what's in the tube, and if it has to do with Deacon Sharpe. She confirms he's on the right track, but says he needs to leave or he'll ruin everything. Jeff won't budge until he finds out exactly what she's up to! Gloria just wants him to trust her. She tells him that the museum is paying a $25,000 reward for the painting, not mentioning her deal with Deacon. He leaves, and Deacon arrives, asking who that was - she says an ex-husband. Gloria hands over the painting to Deacon. Just then, Amber comes down the stairs, looks at them, then leaves the Club.
Amber arrives at the coffee house where Daniel and Kevin are bickering about the missing Terroni. She tells them they had better get to the Club - Gloria's about to give Deacon the painting! Daniel is skeptical and confronts Amber about wearing Deacon's necklace. She insists she is doing this for them and has no intention of running off with Deacon! Kevin takes off, and Daniel tells Amber if she's sincere, to pack her bags and be waiting for him to return. She agrees, and says she loves him. He says he loves her too.
Still in the Club dining room, Gloria bickers with Deacon over him taking the painting to hand it over. She wants him to find a way to guarantee her share. She threatens to call the museum, and he says she can hold onto it. He warns that he has an art expert coming to confirm the authenticity - she is welcome to sit in. Gloria gives him the painting to take upstairs, then wanders over to the bar, where Jeff has been spying. Suddenly, Kevin appears, hissing at her to hand over the painting now! She tells Kevin that she doesn't have it, and reminds him she stands to make millions! Jeff overhears. Daniel arrives and tells Kevin he is heading upstairs to Deacon's room. Kevin calls Michael.
Adam shows up in Victor's hospital room. Victor immediately confronts him about the deal he made for Newman. He informs Adam that Victoria was right to call Michael in to put him in his place. Adam insists he will do whatever it takes to win back his trust. Nick appears and says to Victor, "Please tell me you're not buying any of this!" Adam says he knows Nick has been going through a lot - he was just trying to help. Nick wonders how he knew about him losing the baby. Adam covers, saying he's blind, not deaf. Victor clears his throat and says he will authorize Adam's activities at Newman. Nick is appalled! Victor says he won't reinstate Adam, just put him in a low-level position where he reports to Nick and Victoria - one misstep and he's out. Adam thanks Victor, who warns him to watch his step and consider everything carefully. Adam turns to Nick and says he and Victoria will see that he's different. Nick tells him not to try his act with him. Adam leaves.
Gloria arrives in Deacon's room, where he is meeting with the art expert and Victoria Newman. The man confirms the painting's authenticity. Deacon offers to put it back in the tube for her. Gloria takes it and leaves. Victoria confronts him about involving Gloria, and what his intentions really are for the Terroni. Daniel bursts in and asks Deacon why he would leave the painting with an idiot like Gloria. He turns to Victoria and asks her what Deacon promised her? She runs out of the room.
Victoria arrives in Victor's hospital room just as Nick is telling Victor he cannot let that fraud, Adam, back into the company. Victor says he wants them both to believe it! They argue with their father, who says that Adam was great with Ashley throughout her pregnancy and deserves a second chance. As Adam watches from outside the door, he imagines that Victor dies and Nick tells him to get lost - he's nothing to this family. Adam says to himself that Nick had better get used to him.
Amber is back at the room in the Club getting her things. She leaves Daniel a message saying she'll be there to meet him - he really is all she ever wanted. When she grabs her bag to leave, Deacon appears and accuses her of tipping Daniel off about his meeting with Gloria. Amber says he's obviously stressed about the painting - he should go to the bar. Deacon tells Amber she's not leaving his sight until the deal is done and it's time to leave town.
Gloria is sitting at a table in the Club dining room. Jeffrey joins her, and asks her how much her cut really is - warning she can't outsmart him. She says it was meant to be a surprise. Jeff grabs the tube and looks at the painting. He turns it around - it's a picture of a clown that says, "You lose."
Kevin tells Michael, at Crimson Lights, that he was right about the painting. Daniel comes in and asks if Amber showed up. When he realizes she's not there, he decides he's been played again!
At the cabin, as he and Chloe prepare to leave, Chance gives Billy a dressing down. He tells Billy that he doesn't respect him for sleeping around. Chance says that he likes Chloe for who she is, how she treats her daughter, and even for her ability to accept Billy, her daughter's father. Chance kisses Chloe and they leave. Billy admits to Mac that he pushed things too far, but says at least they won the game! Billy wants her to give him a high-five, but Mac just stares at him!
