Nick breaks down, Phyllis is accused, and Paul learns stunning information!

Jill and Cane discuss Nina at Crimson Lights. Cane asks Jill if she is capable of forgiving - she could turn around her relationship with Kay if she wanted to. He also wonders what will happen if the DNA results aren't what they expect?! Jill says he's her son no matter what.

Nina is on the patio at Katherine's when Lily appears to apologize. They make up as Nina apologizes as well and they commiserate over Katherine's health. Nina gets a call - the DNA results are in!

Jack encounters Mary Jane at the Club. She is zoned out, and he says Summer is on everyone's mind. She says other things are bothering her too - she could use a friend. Jack tells her he is about to meet with Sharon. Mary Jane quickly tells him to do what he has to do - she understands.

Paul runs into Heather at the hospital and remarks about the accident that happened to Summer. Heather says it may not be an accident - Phyllis stood to gain from Nick rushing to her side! Paul is shocked - he asks who suggested this?!

Phyllis and Nick are in the hospital room with Summer. Phyllis tells her that her big brother is coming to see her, and they share some memories of last Fourth of July. Becoming upset again, Phyllis tells Nick that God must be punishing her for everything she's done in her life. Nick tells her it's not true - she's a wonderful mother! They embrace.

In her room, Mary Jane thinks about Jack and Paul. She pulls out an old wedding invitation from Jack's wedding to Patty Williams and says, "Happy Anniversary Jack." There is a knock at the door - she thinks it's Jack. It's Paul, asking her about Phyllis. She grits her teeth and says it's not the time! Quickly apologizing, she shuts the door in his face. She begins to cry and search for her pills, asking 'kitty' where he put them?! She takes her medication, then hugs the cat, crying, "Make it stop!"

Noah throws himself into Sharon's arms at the Club. He asks why this is happening to him again - he already lost one sister! She reassures him about Summer, then breaks the news that Jack is the father of the baby. She doesn't know what it means for her and Nick - he has to focus on Summer.

Nick sits in a pew in the chapel. Victor comes in. Nick tells his father this situation reminds him of Cassie. Victor urges him not to give up - Summer may be able to hear him when he's there. Nick, crying, tells Victor that Sharon's baby is Jack's. Victor says he's sorry and leaves. He passes Jack, who comes in and asks Nick how he's doing. Nick is scared - Summer could have brain damage - they could lose her! As Nick cries, Jack reminds him how tough and determined Summer is, just like her mother. Nick says God already took one daughter - he won't allow it to happen again!

As Jill and Cane sit on the patio at the coffee house, Lily comes in with the DNA results - she went with Nina to get them. Cane opens the envelope and says, "I'm your son." Jill immediately asks him to take the Chancellor name. After she leaves, he kisses Lily, who asks about Langley He says that's all taken care of, and tells her he'll meet her later. He then leaves another phone message for Langley.

Katherine and Murphy arrive home. Nina greets them with the DNA results, saying she doesn't have the courage to open it herself! When they see the results, Nina hollers that this can't be right! She tells Katherine and Murphy about the cop who rode with Philip in the ambulance going missing and says that she is going to get to the bottom of all this!

Mary Jane lays on her bed dreaming. Her cat is alive, and Mary Jane sees herself as she once was - Jack's bride who caught him cheating on her in his office! She remembers losing her baby, and holding a gun to her own head. She sees Jack's face, urging her, Patty, to shoot him instead. Shots ring out. She then sees Victor standing before her offering to make her into someone Jack will love. She also sees Sharon, pregnant and taunting her that Jack will never be hers! Mary Jane sits up in the bed and whispers, "You're gonna' love me Jack, and this time there won't be other women - only you and me."

Noah speaks to Nick in the hospital corridor. He says that Sharon told him that Jack is the father of the baby. He then asks if Summer is going to be okay. Nick reassures him, and they go into the hospital room.

Nikki meets up with Paul out in the hallway and asks why Heather is hanging around. Paul tells her Heather's theory, and Nikki is stunned at the suggestion, telling him that Phyllis would never hurt her own child! He agrees, but gets a call about Cane's DNA and has to go.

Sharon meets with Jack at the Abbott house. He wants to discuss living arrangements, but she stops him, saying she's not ready for all of this. He points out that he's been understanding about all of her ambivalence - maybe she could cut him some slack for his enthusiasm. Sharon tells him she needs to do this on her own - she needs time!

Heather and Detective Gil walk into Summer's hospital room where Nick, Victor, Nikki, and Phyllis are standing beside Summer. They ask Phyllis to step away from Summer - she will have to stay away from Summer until they determine she's not a threat to her! Everyone gapes as Heather says they believe Phyllis may have given Summer peanuts to get Nick's attention. Victor becomes livid, telling Heather she has a lot of questions to answer! Phyllis is taken from the room, sobbing. Nick is in shock.

In the hospital corridor, Victor says he'll get Michael Baldwin. Nikki lays into Heather, and Phyllis assures her in-laws that she didn't do this! They say they know she would never hurt Summer. Nick takes Phyllis home, as Heather and Gil have placed an armed guard at the door of Summer's room. Phyllis leaves, begging Nikki and Victor to stay by Summer's side!

Jill arrives at the Chancellor Mansion asking how Nina took the test results, but deciding not to gloat. Murphy leaves the room, telling Katherine to call if she needs anything. Jill says in a weird way the results mean they're still family. Kay hisses that after what she did to her yesterday - forget it!

Cane tells Lily at the coffee house that he's been given a gift with the DNA results. She doesn't really understand why he's saying that - after today, nobody can question that he's Phillip Chancellor!

Nina stands at Phillip III's gravesite and talks to herself, wondering what is going on. Paul appears and tells her that her hunch may still be right - the lab called him - there is a problem with Cane's blood sample!

Next on The Young and the Restless:

Michael tells Victor and Nikki that the county has temporary custody of Summer and will appoint a guardian. Nikki gasps, "Our hands are tied?!"

Billy and Mac meet at a room in the Club. He says, "Exciting, isn't it?" She says, "What? Meeting secretly?!"

Nina and Paul track down Cane and Lily. Nina asks Cane where the blood came from?!
