The Young and the Restless - DAILY UPDATES

Nikki sits with Katherine at the Club. They discuss how Victoria and Nick are feeling hurt by Victor turning away from them. Suddenly Heather approaches and asks to speak to Nikki. Kay excuses herself and Heather passes Nikki the photo of Walter. "I need to discuss with you, your former husband's role in the death of this man!" Heather explains that a lot of people would like to know the circumstances surrounding the so-called boating accident. She notes the connection between Victor and Walter, and warns Nikki that if she doesn't co-operate she could be charged! Nikki tells her to take her photo and leave Victor alone. Heather says the Mexican police think Victor killed Walter. Nikki refuses to give her any information, so Heather says she'll go to Nick and Victoria. Nikki lunges forward. "You leave my family out of this - do you hear me?" At the bar, Katherine watches with concern. Heather tells Nikki her behavior indicates that she knows something. Nikki storms away after telling Heather to go to Hell! At the bar, Katherine asks what is going on, but Nikki says, "Nothing!" Katherine says after that scene, it's definitely not 'nothing'!

Jeffrey and Gloria are at home. She tells her husband she is going over to see Michael and offer her help with the River situation. Jeff contends it's not about that - it's about her and River! Gloria insists that she isn't going to see Lowell. They exchange a few more accusations before Jeff says, "If you want to hold River's hand, fine. But don't expect me back here tonight!" He leaves.

At home, Michael is surrounded by papers and files for River's case. He tells Lauren there is a potential witness named Howie Sullivan who he is waiting to hear back from. Lauren then hands Michael a left-wing magazine with a cover blurb that says, "Lowell Baldwin Speaks Out From Behind Bars: I'm a Political Prisoner." Michael sighs, "Just shoot me." Michael is distressed. He tells Lauren that River will go away for life as a martyr, and he'll be the son who couldn't get his father off! Gloria arrives and announces that she is offering her services. They discuss Eden, and Gloria says they should find her a nice boarding school. Lauren tells her to forget it. Michael hands her a stack of papers and tells her to look for references to Howard Sullivan. With that, he leaves. Gloria and Lauren discuss how emotionally involved Michael is with his father's case. Gloria wishes that River had just stayed home from that rally! Suddenly she finds something in the files - a notation that one of the witnesses wouldn't 'play ball'!

At Newman, Karen and Victoria go over some sales figures. Vikki has Reed in her arms, but needs to go find something in another office. Karen takes the baby and bounces him happily on her knee. Vikki comes back in and smiles, asking Karen if she wants to have children of her own. Karen admits that she made a decision not to have kids, because she believed in her heart that she shouldn't have them! Karen explains that her mother died when she was twelve years old, from a disease, and that Karen herself may carry the gene! Vikki asks if Neil knows. Karen says he knows some of it.

At Neil's place, Devon tells Neil and Lily that he has received a letter from Ana saying that she hates school and he was right - it's better to quit and just focus on music. Neil says Devon needs to set her straight, and suggests that Devon call Tyra for a chat first. Neil notices Lily is on an online dating site. He warns about the Internet being full of predators, reminding her of her past experience! He suggests she spend time with family and friends instead, and down the road she'll find Mr. Right. Neil leaves, and Devon comes back into the room saying he can't reach Tyra. Lily urges him to call Ana at the school. He does, and when he hangs up, he tells Lily that something doesn't sound right!

Michael arrives at the prison and confronts River about the story in the magazine. "Are you insane?!" He tells his father he's just handing them evidence against him - to prove that he's a radical! He tells River to grow up! He explains that River needs the court to see him as a loving partner and a hard-working man. Michael says, "No more radical nonsense." River claims it's not nonsense, but Michael tells him, "Wise up! No one cares!" River says they won't convict him because he's innocent! Michael laughs. Suddenly, the witness, Howie, calls Michael. He agrees to meet him at the Athletic Club and runs out! After Michael is gone, Jeff shows up and confronts River about tearing the family apart! He tells him the sooner they lock him up, the better! He berates him for leaving Michael, and now dumping Eden. River loses his temper and lunges at Jeff, who says, "No wonder everyone thinks you're guilty." After Jeff leaves, River calls someone. "Remember what I said about what might need to happen if things get out of hand? I need to get out of here. Tonight."

Michael arrives at the Club and Nikki walks up to him. "Victor might be in serious legal trouble," she blurts. Michael gives her the brush off, telling her that if he does hear from Victor, he'll pass on the message. She stomps away. A man then approaches Michael and introduces himself as 'Howard'. He and Michael go to sit down. Nikki and Katherine sit nearby. Kay excuses herself, asking Nikki if she'll wait for her. At Michael's table, Howard says that he was a young, scared kid at the time of the bombing - he took the deal! He then tells Michael that River is innocent - the whole plan was to set off a 'confetti bomb', but on the day of the rally, River didn't even want to set off the confetti bomb - he was on a family 'kick'! Howard explains that no one would listen when River asked them not to set off a bomb, but someone switched it out for a real bomb, and when River showed up to stop them from doing it - he got the blame!

Katherine shows up at Newman, where Neil is in the lunchroom with Karen. She tells Neil that she received a call that Tyra and Ana have left the school and she's getting a rebate for unused tuition! After she leaves, Devon calls, telling Neil that he can't get a hold of Tyra or Ana and it seems like something is going on!

Michael gets home and Lauren tells him that Gloria organized all of his materials. Michael is impressed and thanks her. Gloria then tells him about what she found. Michael says that the document proves what Howard Sullivan told him. "Lowell may not have to spend the rest of his life in jail after all."

Neil and Karen arrive home and they all brainstorm about where Tyra and Ana could have gone. Neil explains that he called the New Hampshire police and they said that Tyra's apartment is closed up. Devon is sad, "I just discover that I have a little sister, and now she's gone!"

Heather arrives at Newman and corners Victoria. She asks what she knows about Victor's activities in Mexico. When Vikki says she doesn't know anything, Heather warns her to tell Nikki she had better co-operate, or else!

Katherine arrives back at the Club and sits down with Nikki, who tells her that she is calling Victor to warn him! The number has been disconnected and Nikki is distraught. "Now I can't even warn him!" Katherine wants to know what she has to warn him about, but Nikki pleads with her to understand - she just can't tell her!

Lauren tells Michael that River has been brought into Genoa City Memorial Hospital!

Victoria confronts her mother about hiding something from when she went to Mexico, but Nikki asks her to just let it go!

Noah says to Sharon, "You're working with Dad again, right?" Sharon confirms it and smiles. Noah then asks, "Are you guys getting back together?"
