Chloe has a conversation with her mother, Lily pays Cane a visit at work, and Jack calls in a favor!
Colleen talks to Cane in Crimson Lights. They trade small talk about her trying to change her art history degree into a real job. Chloe sits nearby and Cane sits down with her. He tells her that it's time she went to see her mother and show her the ultrasound photo. He notes that he's given up a lot to make life good for this baby - now it's her turn!
As Esther vacuums at the Chancellor Mansion, she spots the ultrasound photo on a table and smiles. Just then, Katherine appears and says she feels something may be very wrong with her! She tells Esther she was about to call Jill, but she couldn't remember her number! Esther reminds her about auto-dial, but Kay has forgotten about that as well. Esther urges Katherine to contact her doctor - this forgetting is becoming serious. As Katherine prepares to leave for Jabot, Esther asks her to thank Cane for her - he sent her a copy of the ultrasound photo. Kay wonders if her sending Kate to boarding school is what's responsible for her attitude. Chloe walks in just then and says she's not Kate, she's Chloe, and she won't be getting over the boarding school thing anytime soon! Kay leaves and Chloe suggests that Esther put the ultrasound photo next to the ones of the two of them. "Oh wait, there are no pictures of you and me, because I was at boarding school." Esther pleads with Chloe to understand that she just wanted the best for her - she doesn't want to apologize for getting her the best education possible. Esther tears up. They talk about Cane and Esther says she realizes that Chloe doesn't love him, but maybe one day they'll be surprised and find love in a dirty diaper! Chloe is grossed out and tells her mother that she gave up on the idea of true love a long time ago. Esther feels bad for her daughter. Esther confides that she had a crush on an older man years ago, but he wouldn't go out with her because he was worried what his friends would think. She then laughs as she says he was 11 years old and she was 10! Chloe smiles. Esther asks what Chloe's true love was like. Chloe says he was charming and extremely handsome, but had a lot of other qualities, such as being selfish and arrogant, which weren't so good. Esther says, "You still love him!" Chloe replies, "Yep, as much as I hate him!"
At the Abbott Mansion, Gloria tells Kevin that Katherine really likes him. He says that does seem to be true, but he hardly ever sees her at Jabot. Gloria says that's about to change! Gloria outlines their plot to takeover Jabot, and tells Kevin that Katherine was obviously in mental distress when they ran into her the other day. Gloria tells her son that she wants him to find proof that the great Katherine Chancellor is losing it! He says she's a nice lady - he doesn't want to do it, but Gloria entices him with promises of money and a penthouse apartment. Kevin agrees!
In New York, Billy thanks Jack for the plane ticket. Jack quickly turns the conversation back to Jabot and needing their proxies. Billy is all for any plan that will get Jabot back in the family. Ashley protests that Billy would have to go behind his own mother's back! Billy doesn't care - she put him in the mailroom! Jack accuses Ashley of having been at Forrester too long. He gets quiet and says sometimes he feels like their father is in the room with him - he wants to right the wrongs he has done in the past. Ashley says she won't be involved in anything underhanded. Jack claims that his plan is above-board, but Ashley points out that he's said that before! Jack pleads with them to trust him - just this once! Jack tells Ashley that when the time is right, he'll tell her everything. She counters by saying, "When the time is right, I'll give you my answer." Traci and Ashley say goodbye and Billy asks Jack to stay for a drink. He tells his brother that he's decided to head back to Genoa City! They have a conversation in which Billy thanks Jack for financing his lavish lifestyle. Jack says it's their little secret, but now he needs a favor - he needs him to move back to Genoa City permanently! Billy asks Jack what his assignment will be in Genoa City. Jack tells him he needs more than his proxy - he needs an inside man at Jabot to feed him information! "Just like old times, buddy!"
Cane arrives at Jabot and soon runs into Lily who is also there. Making conversation, Cane asks her if she likes the name of his new line. She says she does, but then stuns him by telling him that she is there to resign as the Fresh Face of Jabot! Cane pleads with her to stay - he needs to see her. Lily tells him that he can't be around her if he is going to get along with Chloe - working together isn't good! She notices his screensaver - it's the ultrasound - and he apologizes for it. Lily says that's why she needs to get out of his way - so he can be a good dad like that and not feel sorry about it. Jill walks in and asks Lily if she's heard about the new campaign. She says she has, but won't be a part of it. She thanks them for the opportunity they gave her and leaves. Jill asks Cane, "What happened?" He replies, "I lost her." Jill gets on the phone and says the agency will be sending over some girls that may be able to replace Lily. He tells his mother it's so difficult to move on. Jill says everyday it will get easier - in fact, it will be better not having her around Jabot. She asks if he still believes that his marriage to Chloe is what's best for the baby. Cane says he just doesn't know - but he knows he doesn't love Chloe!
Kevin arrives at Jabot and calls Gloria, wondering how to prove Katherine is losing it. She tells him to look for little things - like she's losing her balance. He hangs up as Katherine gets off the elevator. He tells her he'd like to make himself more accessible to his co-workers. They make small talk and he asks how she's doing. She wonders if he's hitting on her! Kay walks away, and he calls Gloria. Kevin heads in to talk to Katherine again and makes political small talk, but Katherine doesn't forget anything. She ends up asking if he's okay, because he's acting so strange!
Katherine tracks Cane down in his office. She says she's sorry that Lily left. Cane shows her the ultrasound screensaver and says that Lily saw it - and that's why she left - to give him the freedom to love his child. Kay points out that Lily needed to give herself the freedom to move on as well! Cane says she's right - but he wants to figure out a way to stay connected to her!
Lily arrives at Crimson Lights and tells Colleen what went down at Jabot. Lily recalls when she and Cane went to see their own baby's ultrasound together. Colleen hugs her. Lily says all of her and Cane's dreams are over. Colleen notes that Chloe is getting everything she wants. "What a witch." Lily says she isn't surprised - after Cane's life with his uncle, all he's ever wanted was his own family. She confides in Colleen that she may begin dating. "What do I have to lose?" Colleen goes back to work. Soon Chloe walks in and Lily stops her, telling her that she quit her job at Jabot. She says she did it for herself and she hopes that they never see one another again. Cane comes into the coffeehouse and approaches Colleen. "How would you like to test for the new Fresh Face of Jabot?"
Kevin arrives at the Abbott Mansion and informs Gloria that Katherine Chancellor has her stuff together - 100%! Gloria looks disappointed in him.
Katherine arrives home and Esther notes that Kate just left. Katherine bizarrely asks if Kate has just come home from school!
John's ghost appears to Jack in the lounge after Billy leaves. They chuckle about him trying to get Ashley's proxy. John warns Jack to be careful how much he shares with his little brother - he won't think twice about biting the hand that feeds him!
Jill is working alone in her office when a voice says he has the most beautiful mother in the world! She looks up to see Billy. "Oh sweetheart!" Jill rushes to embrace her son!
