Genoa City is stunned by a videotaped statement from Victor Newman!
At Restless Style, Sharon suggests to Jack that Noah do an internship at the magazine. Jack okays it. Phyllis walks in and tells them that she just spoke to Nick - Victor's home! She gets on the phone and pulls Jack's article about Victor. Jack wonders why Victor pulled this stunt. Phyllis says she doesn't feel it was a stunt, but otherwise, she doesn't know. Sharon is excited to let Noah know. Jack tells Phyllis she was right to pull the article - now what they need is a tell-all about Victor's return from the dead! Phyllis protests, but Jack doesn't see a downside! He says someone else will scoop them. Phyllis is fed up and asks Jack what this is all about anyway - it seems like this is more about revenge against Victor! Jack retorts, "So what if it is?" Sharon hears him. He tries to backpedal, but Phyllis notes that he is caught. Jack decides to go with it - he tells the girls that Nick started this magazine as a means of sticking it to his father! He says his offer stands to buy them out! Sharon gets on the phone with Noah and he is obviously happy. She and Phyllis share a smile over that when she hangs up. Soon, though, they start bickering about the magazine and who should run it. Jack gets on the phone and says he wants to raise some money to buy his partners out. He then looks at the website, where he has posted a breaking news - "Victor Newman Sighted!"
At Newman, Adam replays the meeting between him and his father in his mind. He sits in Victor's office chair and looks thoughtful. Neil comes in and he asks what he can do for him. Neil asks if he's out of his mind - trying to run things as if nothing has changed! Adam says he feels that nothing really has! He notes that Victor is obviously depressed. He tells Neil that he hopes there are no hard feelings and that they can move on. Neil laughs, "You fired me!" J.T. arrives and Neil tells him to remove Adam Wilson from the building! Adam leaves and J.T. tells Neil that Vikki is out at the Ranch right now - she's hoping he'll be the man in the letter. Neil says there is something very different about him.
At the Ranch, Nick and Victoria step into Victor's office, and as Vikki embraces him, Nick says, "Good to have you back, Dad." Victor tells them he came back because it was preferable to having the tabloids hounding him. He says he is proud of how they conducted themselves in his absence. Nick asks why he went to Mexico. Victor sighs deeply, "To heal my wounds." They all make amends from the time after Sabrina died. Victoria tells him how much the letter he wrote meant to her. Victor tells them that there are going to be changes in their lives and in the business - they'll find out when Michael Baldwin airs the video statement he made. They are stunned that he is putting up the walls again. He says he has to. Nick spits, "You're protecting yourself from your own kids?" Nick becomes angry - Victor is showing no concern about what they have gone through, or about his grandchildren! He says he wouldn't even see them until business was taken care of! Victor merely says he is sorry he is disappointed, then asks them to leave him alone!
At Crimson Lights, Kevin and Jana compare notes from their respective honeymoons with Gloria and Jeffrey. Jana and Kevin are taken aback when Jeffrey and Gloria say they actually split up for part of the time. Gloria wonders what Jeffrey got up to, and he says he swam with the stingrays! Gloria points out that he has no tan. "SPF 50. What about you?" Gloria smiles, "The spa." Kevin and Jana have some discrepancies in opinion about the 'roughing it' they did - Kevin wasn't so keen. Kevin then asks Jeff and Gloria what their honeymoon was really about. After all, it was the Caymans - it must have been about money! They deny it. Kevin heads to the counter and Gloria follows him. She tells her son that they were up to something, but she also picked up a few shares that Jeff doesn't know about. She admits she still doesn't entirely trust him. She tells Kevin she is happy for him having gone 'mainstream' though! Kevin is disturbed by the idea that he has settled down. As he and Jana look at pictures he complains that they are losing their edge and it's bothering him! Jeff and Gloria discuss ramping up their efforts toward taking over Jabot. He tells her that as soon as they take control, he's appointing himself CEO! Gloria argues that she knows the company best - she will be CEO. They discuss what they think Jack will have to say - he is disappointed that she appears to have spoken to Jack behind his back. Kevin runs over to Gloria and says he's in - he wants to help with the Jabot plan. Gloria tells him no - he should keep his nose clean!
Adam arrives at the Ranch to pack up. As he heads upstairs, Nick and Victoria come out of the office. "Well, well. The happy family is reunited," he says snidely. He tells them to stick around and watch him pack his things - then they can really gloat! They tell him he had this coming - he's acted like a jackass! Victor comes out and asks them to leave the house. He even tells Adam he will have his things sent to him!
Phyllis meets Nick at home. He tells her that Victor basically told them to leave him alone! Phyllis reminds Nick that Victor must be in a lot of pain. Phyllis mentions that Jack is wanting to do an article about Victor's return. Nick says he is sick of Jack trying to capitalize on his family's misfortune. They agree that the magazine was so fun in the beginning - but not anymore. They start to discuss what else they could do instead. Nick says he'd like to start exploring some options right now, and kisses his wife deeply.
At the Ranch, as Victor plays with Zapato, Sharon arrives with Noah. Noah hugs his grandfather and says they should all get together - the whole family. Victor puts him off. Sharon asks Noah for a moment alone with Victor. Sharon immediately fills Victor in on what is going on at the magazine. She then asks him to hire Nicholas back at Newman Enterprises. She says the tension at Restless Style is causing her family to suffer.
Victoria meets up with Nikki at the Club. Nikki says she is fine, but she has no idea where Victor is. Victoria tells her that he is back in town, but he threw her and Nick out of the house. Nikki is surprised - she thought he was only angry at her! 'It's worse than I ever dreamed." Over at the bar, Adam sits down with a drink and the television broadcasts news of Victor's return. They show an excerpt of Jack's interview and Adam watches with interest.
At the Ranch, Victor watches as his taped statement begins to air. In it, he says that what happened to him is personal. He announces that Neil Winters is the new CEO of Newman Enterprises. He expresses his confidence in him. He then says that on a personal note - he is taking a public leave of absence. He reminds people that he lost Sabrina and needs to deal with her death. He asks the press to leave him alone, but also asks that friends and family leave him be. "I know you mean well, but I want to be alone." Victor turns it off and then calls in and dismisses his entire staff, including Estella. He sits down on the stairwell and tells Zapato that he only wants to spend time with him - he gives him no trouble at all.
At Restless Style, Noah is heartbroken after watching Victor's video and Sharon tries to reassure him. Sharon and Noah leave and Adam comes in. He asks Jack if he saw 'The Victor Show'. Jack says it is contrived drama. Adam notes that they may have some things in common. Jack looks pensive.

Nick says to the other three partners, "We are not leaving this room until control of Restless Style is decided!"
Adam says to Jack, "You referred to Victor as 'The Man With a Black Hole For a Heart." Jack replies, "What does that have to do with you and me?"
Outside the Ranch, Nikki hollers, "Victor!" He says he will call the police. Nikki then smashes the window to get in!
