Jack pays Adam a visit, Daniel accuses Amber of lying, Nikki tells the truth about Victor.
At Newman Enterprises, Adam tells Brad that business will be moving forth without his half-siblings. He says he'd like to see how they make out in the real world without help. Brad tells Adam that he should be reinstated to the Board of Directors. Adam suggests they call a press conference. Brad has hand-picked a reporter, but warns the guy will ask why he fired Neil and Victoria. Adam clears his throat, "I'd like to focus on the future." Brad suggests that he acknowledge his roots. The reporter is called in and Adam tells him it's a new era for Newman Enterprises. Brad tells the reporter that this is Victor Newman Jr., but Adam corrects him. "Not Junior. Victor Adam Newman."
Nick and Victoria meet in Crimson Lights. They compare notes on their letters from Victor. They both express surprise that he didn't come down on them. Nick asks what hers said. She says he apologized to her, and that she reminds him of himself. Nick says it's true. Nick then tells his sister that their father apologized to him too, and told him that he's the kind of dad he always wished he could be. They both wish Victor had been able to express these things to them while he was alive. Nick tells her that their mom will be happy to hear about the letters. Vikki agrees. They discuss how it wasn't easy being Victor Newman's kids. Nick notes that now Victor has had the last word yet again.
In the small room where Victor had taken her, Nikki lays on the bunk. The bartender's young daughter comes in with food for Victor. Nikki tells her he is gone and won't be back. Nikki winds up in a conversation with the little girl about Victor and how much he loved Sabrina. She asks if Nikki loves him. She says she does. The little girl asks if he loves her too. Nikki sighs, "Not anymore." Nikki tells the girl she is done waiting. As she rises to leave, the little girl asks what she should tell Victor if he returns. "Tell him I've gone home."
In Mexico, Paul briefs his men on where to look for Nikki and/or Victor. He tells them there is a reward. Paul approaches the bartender and asks if he remembers the woman he was with in the bar the previous week. The bartender plays dumb, but Paul warns she could be in danger. Paul pulls out some money to bribe the bartender, but just then Nikki walks in. "Put the money away, Paul." They embrace and he tells her that her kids are worried sick. He urges her to call Nick and Victoria. She says, "I found him, Paul. Victor's alive." She says he's okay, but is dead on the inside. She tells Paul that Victor says he is never coming home. She asks Paul how she can tell her kids that their father is alive, but wishes to remain dead to them.
At Restless Style, Daniel is working on "Restless Amber" on the computer when Noah stops to look. He says, "She's hot!" Nearby, Sharon asks Jack if they could cover an event for the magazine that features Justin Timberlake - Noah would love it! Jack is vague and she asks him what is going on. He says it's still bothering him that she took Nick's side over his last week. "I need to understand it." She says she has to take Noah to lunch right now, could they pick this up later? Jack lightens up and gives her a kiss goodbye. Noah asks Daniel what it's like working with his ex. Daniel says, "Watch this." He approaches Amber's desk and holds up her cell phone! She asks why he had her phone, and Daniel says she left it at the restaurant. He confronts her about making up an imaginary boyfriend named Liam to make him jealous. He even accuses her of texting herself! He says it's cute that she isn't over him yet. Amber glares at him. She takes her phone back and conducts a very flirtatious phone call with Liam as Daniel heads back to his desk and listens skeptically. When she gets off the phone, she and Daniel have another argument about whether Liam is real or not. He tells her to prove he exists by bringing him to his showing in New York next Friday!
Sharon and Noah arrive at Crimson Lights and greet Nick and Victoria. As they go to find a seat, Vikki tells her brother that their dad was right - he is a great dad. Nick joins Noah and Sharon and a discussion ensues about the public school. When Sharon leaves to take a call, Noah complains to Nick that she treats him like a baby. Nick says she just cares. Noah reiterates that he doesn't want to be a trust fund kid. He promises if his grades slip he'll go back to the private school. Nick gives in. "You've got to promise me you'll stay out of trouble." Noah promises and Nick says they still have to get Sharon to agree. She returns to the table and after a moment agrees. Nearby, Victoria's phone rings. It's Nikki. She calls Nick and Sharon over and puts her on speaker phone. Nick asks if they found their father's body. Nikki says, "He's alive." They clamber for details. Noah asks if Victor will be coming home soon. Nikki then breaks the news that Victor doesn't want to come home to Genoa City. After they hang-up, Victoria expresses disbelief that their father wouldn't want to come home. Nick notes that this changes everything. Nick and Vikki leave and Sharon assures Noah that Victor is just grieving for Sabrina and needs time.
Jack arrives at Newman to speak to Adam. Jack tells him that Victor pulled all the advertising from Restless Style and he wants it back. Adam says it isn't going to happen. Jack says their sales have tripled, but Adam counters that that won't last with all of the in-fighting between he and Nick. Jack shows him the demographics and promises him the inside front cover in each issue - guaranteed. Adam wants it in writing. They shake hands and Jack says he heard that Neil and Victoria are out and the 'hedge-clipper' is in! Adam looks puzzled and Jack explains that it's an old joke between he and Brad. Jack then broaches the idea of writing up the 'new era at Newman'. Adam says he knows Jack will write about it regardless, so he'd like to go on the record. "I am the future of Newman Enterprises."
Adam arrives home to the Ranch and greets Heather. He fills her in on all of the events at Newman that day. He is very confident and self-assured, and she cautions that a lot of people will be hoping that he falls flat on his face. He asks if she ever thought that she'd be living with the Chairman of Newman Enterprises. As she begins to undress him, she says she knew he was special from the start.
Jack sits typing away at Restless Style. He muses to himself about how arrogant Adam acts. Just then, Nick comes in. "Whose computer are you hacking into now?" Jack fills him in on what he is writing about, asking if he has any input on the inner workings at Newman Enterprises. Nick says he should ask Victor himself. "My father's alive!" Jack looks up at Nick, stunned. He asks how he knows this. Nick says Nikki saw him and he's alive in Mexico, but he's not coming back. Nick says Jack needs to delete the story off of the website. Jack refuses. "The only way I'm canceling this story is if I hear from Victor himself!"
Back in Mexico, Nikki explains to Paul that she thought she could bring Victor home, but the way he looked at her, she knows that he is done with her, with everyone. "Please take me home, Paul!"
Victoria arrives at Newman Enterprises and asks Brad where Adam is at. Brad says he's sorry about the loss of her dad. He assures her that as CEO he will try to carry on Victor's vision. She smirks and tells him it doesn't matter - there's about to be another shift! "I have news about my father."
Victor arrives at the Ranch and opens the door. He strolls into the living room and stands silently, watching as Adam and Heather get amorous on the sofa!

Victor says to Adam, "What would ever give you the idea that I would want you to fire Neil Winters?"
