Agreeing Lovers.

Tuesday, July 22 2008
Jeffrey returns with news for Gloria, Sabrina urges Victor to reconsider, Nikki tells David they're over.

Bardwell arrives at the club and Gloria leaps into his arms. She gives him a kiss and asks where the cream is. He couldn't find it or his ex. They sit down and he explains that he looked everywhere without luck. "You're very resourceful, find her," she demands. He doesn't think his ex would be interested in it and likely chucked it away. "Trust me, we don't need your son and we don't need the cream," he says. She needs an explanation. He made a pit stop in the Cayman Islands and set up an offshore company called "Agreeing Lovers", an anagram for "Gloria's revenge". She likes that. They can use the company to buy up Jabot and won't need Michael's help. She kisses him for being so "loving and devious". Before they can hurry off to bed, she leaves for the powder room. While she's gone, she calls and checks into his story before returning and taking him home.

"Who is Angelo Sarafini?" Nikki demands as she meets David at the club. He confesses that it is his real name; he's been lying to her about who he is. They sit and he explains that he grew up around a lot of organized crime. He was only ever into petty stuff but realized that he wanted something else for himself. She's still furious and accuses him of lying as easily as he breathes. He claims that he was only ashamed. She feels stupid. David accuses Paul of making him look sinister. He tells her of his hellish childhood and suggests that she should understand why he would turn his back on it. He claims he has only been trying to protect her from his past. She can't hate him for what he's done, but she's lost track of how many chances she's given him. "It's over," she says, walking away.

At Crimson Lights, Paul is on the phone hunting down information on Walter. He tells JT what he's found and they decide to try and track down some old mob photos that may feature David.

At the ranch, Nick drops off the keys to the tack house. He tells his father that he is being heartless for denying his own grandchild the only home they've ever known. Victor tells him he has no right to talk when he's been riding on his coat tails his whole life. Nick points out that he's gone into business for himself. Victor dismisses this; he's cold and turns his back.

Jill and Brad sit at the conference table at Jabot. He tells her that David has a gambling problem. She says they need to handle this internally. "I'll bet Nikki and David would do anything to keep this quiet," she says. They decide to hunt for evidence. Heather knocks and comes in to pick up Ji Min's things so she can continue searching for clues in his case. Brad walks out and Heather tells Jill that she wants to get Ji Min some justice.

In the corridor, Brad asks Heather to get him David's telephone records. After he wanders away, Adam approaches to do some personal business with her. She leaves to take care of something while he waits. Jill spots him and isn't pleased. He's only there to ask Heather out, he insists. Jill stomps off after Heather returns. Adam asks her to the gala. As he exits, Nikki arrives, advising Heather to think twice about getting involved with a Newman. Heather sorts through the box of Ji Min's things and stares at a photo of he and another man.

Nick returns to the tack house and tells Phyllis that they are definitely moving out. Phyllis wishes he would just lay the blame on Jack. Nick says he won't and doesn't need to explain anything to his father after what he's said. He starts to pack, insisting that he will be better off out of his father's life. "It's gotta be killing you?" she prods. He ignores her and continues to pack. She puts the baby to sleep and he is eager to finish packing and start searching for a new place. She doesn't think he should just walk away and let his father force him from this place and his feelings for it. He remembers learning to ride his bike on this land and making his father proud. "I'm going to miss this place," he concludes. She offers to talk to Victor. "He's a lost cause," Nick says. She hugs him. He wonders if he has been riding his father's coat tails his whole life. Maybe this will be a blessing in disguise, he suggests. Phyllis reminds him they'll never be totally free of his father. They have wine and talk about how exciting their new life can be.

JT and Paul meet with his contact. He tells them how dangerous David's associates really are.

Nikki is sitting in her office when David arrives. He reminds her that he still works there. She says that won't be for long. He argues that news of their split would take away focus at the gala and bring down Victor's spite. She agrees to put the divorce off until after the gala. He walks out and calls a contact, begging for some quick money.

Back at the ranch, Sabrina comes downstairs. She asks Victor if Nick came by to apologize. He tells her she gives him too much credit: He's moving out. Victor explains that his son is no longer allowed on any of his properties. She's shocked. He tells her that Nick has shown enormous disrespect to him over the years, even betraying him to the government. He says that maybe he should have spent more time with his children, but he didn't have time and thinks they've come back for revenge. She suggests there must be another way to handle this. He serves them tea. She asks him if he will do something like this to their child if he upsets him in the future. He says he won't and is amazed by how forgiving she is. Nick is part of him and always will be, she says. She knows how affectionate and tender he can be and how he must have been to Nick as a child; she urges him to remember that. He remembers how much his son has disrespected and betrayed him. "The biggest betrayal is for you to turn your back on your son," she says, begging him not to do this.

As the day moves on, Victor stares out the window and thinks. Sabrina interrupts his ruminations. He tells her how lucky he feels to have another chance at fatherhood. He's finally realized that family is more important than success and money. She tells him he should reach out to the family he already has. She gets a call about the gala. Before leaving, she tells him that he is a kind soul underneath it all and asks him again to do the right thing. After she leaves to get ready, Adam walks in and tells his father that Brad and Jill have been digging into David's past and will try to keep it secret. They decide this would be a good time to go public.

Later, Sabrina asks Adam to talk to his father. He turns her down, saying it's none of his business. She accuses him of refusing out of self-interest and suggests that Victoria and Nick's loss won't necessarily be his gain.

Victor goes down to his son's door and announces that he and his family can stay. "I don't want to stay. We're moving," Nick says. "You have it your way," Victor grumbles. Nick shuts the door on him.

At Jabot, Brad and Jill start sorting through David's phone records. He points to a number, knowing that it is David's bookie. He plays dumb about it and suggests she call it. She tries and gets an insult when she uses David's name. She and Brad walk into the corridor. She hands her files off to Heather and orders her to put all the Chow information together. She and Brad summarize the situation and decide that this gives them a good chance to get rid of Nikki and David together.

Next on The Young and the Restless:

Paul warns that any move could cause Nikki's death.

Chloe spots someone with a ring in their hand.

"I never want to deal with you again," Sabrina says.

Hi All: I just think that despite Victor's faults and yes he does have a few, children should always be respectful to their parents no matter how old they are. Nick is arrogant and rude. He forgets about the many times Victor never gave up on him (ie. in jail 2 times for murder). His father stuck by him and never waivered in his support nor did he doubt that he was innocent. Nick turned his father into the feds and accused him of murdering Ji Min. He needs to move on. I hope that one day the way he is treating his father does not come back and bite him with Noah. Victoria may be a spoiled brat, but she isn't usually rude and obnoxious to her father. RESPECT is the key...Nick has none for his father and he should find his own way in life which means not using the trust fund set up by Victor to fund his magazine. Thanks.

Victor hasn't a clue of what unconditional love is. He holds his money and power to dictate, dominate, and control everyone around him. Nick and Victoria had nothing to do with the story on Sabrina. They don't need his money. They need his love...evidently something he has really never been able to show them much of. Victor acts as if he has always done the right thing and he certainly has not. He has no forgiveness in his heart, not even to his own family. He may have all the money and power in the world...but on a human scale he has a value of -0-. So keep your money you miserable old man, because if Sabrina really is on the up and up, she'll leave too and that money will be all you have once she's gone.

I have been watching this show since I was 13. My head is spinning with the crazy storylines and new characters.

Brad has no clue about running a company. He started off as a poolboy and married Tracy Abbott. Jill has no clue either about running a company. She slept with Phillip Cancellor and then John Abbott. That's how she ended up being the primary stockholder.

Victor met Nikki at a strip club and made all her dreams come true. She had her 2 children and a servant who ran the house. She sent the kids off to boarding school and didn't have to worry about raising them. How in the world did she get ever get the job at Jabot? She has no business background. Must be nice to be friends with a millionaire.

Here comes Gloria. Where did John meet her? She is a gold-digger and a schemer. She has no clue how to run Jabot. Jeffrey is just as clueless as Gloria. What's his background besides a schemer?

IMO: Jack should regain control over Jabot and put them back on the map. Victor should focus on Newman since Neil is hardly there. Nick, Phyllis, and Sharon should run the magazine. Chloe needs to stop interferring in Lily and Cane's life. Go back to your baby's daddy, whoever that may be. How in the world did Amber end up in Genoa City? Why are the writer's making Amber and Chloe buddies? That can't be good.

Bye Bye Sabrina. Liar, liar pants on fire. Why couldn't she just tell Victor about her ugly past? Is she really pregnant and if so, who is the father? Her ex?

Paul, find yourself a new office. He is working on sensitive case..no one needs to hear you on the phone. BTW, where's Lynne, his trusty assistant?

I thought I was being mean but, personally, I can't stand that child. I don't know why but she annoys me every time I see her. Yeah, she does have a very lovely voice but, in a nightclub?? What's she doing in there anyway? Did I miss something??

I've got to tell ya, folks... insofar as Victator/Nick/Vix, I'm really on the fence. I see both sides having their points.

On one hand, respect is something that should be earned. Gifts are something that you give others with no strings attached. Nick and Vix know from experience that Victator doesn't do anything without expecting something in return. And while it's sometimes tempting to shoot first and ask questions later, Victator is doing himself a disservice by not trying to find out who specifically doctored the article on Sabrina. He's jumping to a conclusion that he assumes is warranted. And we've all heard that we need to be careful when we assume: it makes an a§§ out of you and me!

On the other hand, we've also all heard the phrase "the straw that broke the camel's back". Victator knows full well that Vix has harbored a daydream of her parents living happily ever after, and that daydream was exacerbated after Clear Springs. He sees Vix's reaction to his relationship with Sabrina as purely a reaction to her bubble being burst. As for Nick, Victator knows that his son is probably the only person who's been able to confront him with the truth of what his bitterness is capable of. It's one thing for reactions like Nick's to come from others, and another when they're expressed by your own child. So the article on Sabrina wound up being a perfect storm of sorts, and Victator is just saying "enough is enough".

Chloe needs a new hobby. she need to leave cane and lilly alone. find yourself a man and get on with it. Cane and Lilly should be the new power couple to step in Victor's shoe. I can see cane playing the role of victor. cane and lilly are a perfect match-interracial couple-and the chemetry is there between them.Chloe should leave Y&R. I DON'T LIKE HER.

CHLOE LEAVE CANE ALONE AND THE WRITERS NEED TO FIND HER A MAN

Posted by CantgetenoughYandR at Tuesday, July 22 2008 08:07 AM

I read the re-cap above but in the previews for tomorrow it says "I never want to deal with you again," Sabrina says. Who is Sabrina talking to when she makes that statement? See I have this theory that Sabrina is the "JOB" that David /Clark / Angelo is supposed to "DO" for Walter.

Here are my reasons to back up my theory:

1. Since she is Originally Italian (which makes me wonder why she is speaking French to a German-American all the time) and since we now know that David and Walter are Italian and are affiliated with the mob,and I think her father was assinated, I am wondering if there is a connection.

2. I think her father was assinated

3. All that stuff with the stolen art in Europe and the mobsters who were killed over it may have a connection that can be traced back to Sabrina who may have been the person supplying the stolen art in the first place to the wealthy collectors.

4. I still think she is buying up a lot of Art with Victor's mega millions and he is so in love with her that he has given her Carte Blanche to do what ever she wants with no questions asked. I wonder if it is getting switched for fakes since he knows nothing about modern art and is trusting her judgement.

5. I still think she is the one who ran Nick off the road while trying to get back home quickly after pulling a switcheroo.

Hey everybody! I haven't watched the show yet but I do have a couple of comments. For the most part I like Nick and Victoria, but I don't think they have much respect for their father. I do agree that Victor can be a tyrant(I can't help but love him)at times but deep down he loves his kids.

Nick is responsible for his magazine. He went into business with Jack knowing full well what kind of person he is and with all the back stabbing he was already doing at the magazine he should have anticipated that Jack would try something dirty with Victor's new wife.

I don't understand why everyone hates Sabrina so much. The writers have given us nothing to assume she's a liar or a cheater. People who have the boys clipped end up having kids all the time, it's not 100%.

Nicki, I used to like her but not anymore. She always has her nose in the air. She has done ugly stuff to her kids like when she ran for senator she exposed Victoria's divorce to Brad. They seem to be able to forgive her. She's an idiot. She's treated both of Nick's wives like crap but he's right there defending her all the way.

I think Victor does let his temper get the best of him but he did decide to let Nick stay and Nick takes that opportunity to slam the door in his face. Vicki and Nick always talk like they are being independent but they aren't living the life.

The only reason Nick has that magazine is because of his trust fund. He's never had to truly work for anything. Look at Adam, he grew up without his father his whole life. He got scholarships and went to Harvard. He truly wants to have a relationship with is father.

I hope TPTB do not put Victor and Nicki back together. I don't think anybody wants to see those two reunited.

Sharon is trying to keep from admitting that she made a horrible mistake in marrying Jack, who I wish would get Jabot back so he can finally run it in the ground for good. Maybe he'll finally go insane and be admitted to an assylum.
