There's Hardly a Family Left.

Friday, July 18 2008
Victor throws his children out of his will, Paul gets a break, Sharon decides to accept Jack for who he is.

At Restless Style, everyone is doing damage control. Nick glares over at Jack for being so smug. Phyllis is afraid their website will crash because it's getting too many hits. An order for more copies comes in because they've sold out. Nick stops Jack from going ahead with publishing more, saying they need to discuss this first. It's too late: The next printing has already started. Nick and Jack bark at each other and split up. Victoria quickly corners Jack about using her words out of context but he shrugs it off.

Later that day, Sharon leaves and Phyllis asks Jack why he was lying to his wife. It doesn't seem like he really thought the ramifications of this stunt through. Jack is sure they are legally protected from Victor. Phyllis reminds him that Victor doesn't care about the law.

At the ranch, Sabrina tries to write a letter to Victoria. Victor reads the letter and tells her how sorry he is about all of this. He offers to call some journalists and sort this out. She doesn't want a family fight in the press. "There's hardly a family left," he sighs. Their family will just be them and the baby. They embrace. She has a nap. When she wakes up, he has a new idea: Announcing the happy news about the baby. She wants to keep it quiet. He offers to fly her anywhere in the world. She reminds him that they have to show a proud face. After she hurries off to work, he calls Michael. He wants to slap the magazine with a lawsuit. After hanging up, his son walks in and tells him that he has pulled all of Newman's advertising from the magazine. They are both hunting for Adrian and Victor wants all of the other advertisers contacted and dealt with.

David and Nikki return to her office after visiting their new house. He's thrilled. She says he's worth the commitment. They sign the paperwork and he takes a picture of them with his phone.

At Crimson Lights, Paul sorts through a pile of mail. He discovers a letter from David's ex-step daughter and shows it to JT. "I'll work to my dying day to prove you killed my mother," they read. The letters don't seem suicidal and were mailed locally so David must have gotten it the day she died. They mull over their options and JT decides to leave. Paul notices David across the room and sits down with him. Paul tells him he just wants to see that Nikki is safe. David tells him he's kicking his gambling habit and his future is with Nikki.

Karen and Neil stop by Indigo. He just wants to check in with Tyra to see how things are going. He's confident she can look after things, he tells Karen, so that means they should have more time together. At a table, Ana shows her new shoes to Devon and then to Karen. Ana thanks Karen again for helping her with her fear of singing. All of this attention seems to make Tyra uncomfortable. Ana sings them a song she learned at church. JT walks in and tells her how great she is. Neil introduces him to Tyra and they leave to put together a new security system.

Sabrina and Jana meet at Crimson Lights. Jana talks about the article but Sabrina wants to concentrate on work. A reporter interrupts but Jana chases him out. Other reporters still mill around. Nick comes in to apologize to his mother-in-law, saying that the article was not the one he approved. She thinks he did this out of resentment and refuses to listen to any excuses. She walks out and a reporter follows. "You set this in motion so, Nicholas, be prepared to reap the consequences," Jana says.

Michael arrives at the ranch. Victor announces that he will lay a libel suit on the magazine and bury them in legal fees. He wants everything in the article checked. Michael leaves to get to work. Adam tells his father that Nikki likely won't withdraw her ads from the magazine. Victor threatens to bury everyone who doesn't. Michael soon returns after setting all the fact checkers to work. Victor asks his son to leave and tells Michael he wants to change his will. The children he raised have betrayed him. Michael encourages him to talk to them and think it over. Victor doesn't need to think: He wants the will changed now. Nick and Victoria are completely pushed out of the will. He calls in some servants to witness him signing the document.

Victoria chats with her mother on the phone before running into Sabrina at the club. She apologizes for everything but Sabrina doesn't accept it. A reporter ducks behinds them and takes pictures as Sabrina lays into her. Victoria accuses her of lying since she came to Genoa City. Sabrina thinks Victoria and her brother just can't stand to see their father happy.

At Crimson Lights, Jana and Adam talk about the mess with the magazine. He tells her that his father trusts Sabrina completely. After he walks off, she gets her Ouija board out again. "Will Sabrina and Victor have a long and happy life together?" she queries. It answers "Goodbye".

Victoria goes to see her mother in her office. Nikki tells her she needs to get out of the line of fire. Victoria is sure it's too late for that. Nikki begins gushing about the estate she just bought. Her daughter thinks she's crazy to be doing this with David but Nikki is confident she has everything under control.

Nick returns to Restless Style. Phyllis is the only one still at work. He tells her how mad he is at Jack. He's already set up a meeting with his banker to find a way to get Jack out of the magazine. When that doesn't go well they weigh other options.

Jack returns home and calls for Sharon. A call comes in and he happily tells the caller that the next few issues will be more of the same. Sharon hears this and isn't happy. He apologizes. She says he's been lying since the beginning of their relationship. She feels like a cliche: A woman who married a man thinking he can change... but this is who he is and has always been. He makes promises, but, she says, they are meaningless. "I've gotta stop fighting against the real Jack Abbott," she says. What they have is worth fighting for and she won't leave him; she'll just have to accept him for who he is. "I'm not going to make any mote promises," he says, relieved. They hug. She gets them wine to celebrate the magazine. He wants to celebrate her instead. They toast to their future.

Adam sits at the bar of the club and leaves a message for Skye. Sabrina joins him. He tells her that they've pulled all of the advertising from the magazine. She's impressed. He asks her how much of the story is actually true

Nick arrives at the ranch late and Victor is waiting up for him. He tells him to get his bags and get out.

Walter calls David as he returns to the club. David tells him he's no longer interested. "I'm done," he insists, hanging up.

Back at Crimson Lights, Paul continues to sort through his files when he discovers something. Calling JT, he says that he's finally found David's true identity.

Next on The Young and the Restless:

Victor tells his daughter that he's cut her out of the will.

"David Chow equals Angelo Serafini," Nikki says.

Cane tells Neil that he's done something important, maybe the most important thing he's ever done.

Victor called Nicki's husband a loser, and Victor is the one that needs a decorater. His house looks very outdated with the wall paper and the Balloon valances(Nicki must have decorated it)he's suppose to be the richest man on the show but his house doesn't compare to Jacks, or Catherines

I agree with you lyn1104, Tyra spells trouble for the Winters...and what happened to Yolanda? It just doesn't make sense to have her show up with Ana and "impose" on Neil and Devon that way...and since she's related to Devon, why not have Devon get a place with her and his cousin, not Neil and have Neil pay for that if that's what he wants to do???

Did you ever notice how "flimsy" the doors to "the Abbott Mansion" are when someone enters or leaves?? And, the stairs at "the Newman Mansion" creak when more than one person assend them (Victor and Sabrina came down together last week and the creaking was very apparent)...the stairs could possibly fall through and someone could have an accident on them...

Did you notice the hot pink top Sabrina had on was the same one a lady wore in a commercial on the show advertising underarm deodorant...Sabrina would do that well too...

ive been thinking, even if the article about sabrina is true, victor can still take legal action and ruin crapless style. brad did the same thing with adrian and his book. everything in that book was TRUE but brad was able to ruin the book and adrians reputation as a writer. so i dont see why victor wont be able to do the same thing even if the article is true. ITS THE SAME SITUATION THAT SHOULD HAVE THE SAME RESULT.

i loved how victor kicked nick off his property. im not a die hard victor fan but i am a fan of him when his children act like they dont need him. this will prove it. if the two brats can live on thier OWN property and make their OWN money without victors help then i say "good job". i want to see them completely indepenedent from victor that way i can agree with all you other posters who think that victor is controlling. if the brats make it on thier own then victor has no right to control them.

alot of posters are mad that victor took his brats out of the will...why? i thought you guys said he is so controlling, high and mighthy full of himself, and needs to be taken down a few pegs??? victor is freeing nick and victoria from all connetion that would grant him the authority of being controlling. since they will no longer live on his property, work for him, or have his money then victor has no right to control him. is that what you all want? by all of you getting mad that victor took his kids out of his will is showing that the kids do need victor.

even if victor loses nick and victoria because of his will deceision, ummm he still has adam. just because adam hasnt been around long doesnt mean that adam isnt his son. you all act like nick and victoria are his entire life.

would you all rather have all the men in GC act like jack? it seems alot of you think victor is full of himself and needs to be taken down a few pegs. well would you prefer he acted like jack?

look act jacks pathetic face when sharon was confessing how she felt about him as a person...he was ready to cry like a baby. WHAT A WIMP!!! i would rather see victor say " i dont give a damn"....if jack is what you all prefer then be prepared because it seems that the writers are reading these posts and are making them reality in the show.

afterall, they said that sabrina is being let go because the viewers arent liking her...well how are you going to feel when they change victors chacracter into an all out wimp like jack. or for worse what if victors chracter is retired because alot of you dont like his powerful character ways? keep in mind, victor is pretty old...i dont see him staying on the show as long as kay.

Yes, Sharon is not manipulative enough to hang with Jack, but Phillis is.

robykay,

Good storyline about Jack and Sharon joined forces with Gloria and Jeffery to win Jabot back into the family, but I can not see YR making Sharon hard core to take on a task like that.

I would actually prefer Victor to act decent to his family. He is always ready and willing to throw them over for a new family. He has never been there for the kids. Always spewing how he is working for their future. Well, he worked for it, and now look he has no close ties to the children. None of them. Adam just met him. Abby has another father too. He let Jack raise Nick, and Vicky was forever off at boarding school.
Victor knocks his childrens childish behavior. But where do they get it? From Mr Immature himself. They see him stamp his feet and yell all the time and have tantrums continuously. He is the one who needs to grow up, he had a bad childhood and made sure his kids didn't get a father either.
He is such a bully.
I sincerely hope that they don't let Sabrina die as some saintly woman. It's not fair to give Nikki such a loser, and give Victor a saint. When Victor has cheated on Nikki at such low times in her life as when she had cancer and was told she was dying. Didn't stop the mustache. And he can run out of town without a word to his wife while she is grieving at her supposed sons death. He never calls or anything, just leaves. And not the first time.
Victor is an immature old saggy grandpa.

It was very dump of Nick not to listen to Victor for once about Jack. Victor may at times be to agressive, but he is normally right about Jack ways of doing business.

Just wanted to say GO VICTOR! Thank you for cutting the brats out of your will. I hate to see Sabrina go. Hey writers, if you want to get rid of some characters...send JT & Victoria out to live happily ever after
