Victor meddles, Phyllis makes a discovery about Daniel, and Victoria argues with her husband!

At Crimson Lights, Nick and Victoria discuss David's gambling problem. Nick thinks their mother should dump him, but Victoria says it's her decision. Nick, however, insists that they have to try and get rid of him - and make sure that he doesn't drain Nikki dry!

Just inside the front doors of the GCAC, Nikki tries to stop David from leaving. She says that she knows he's a good man, but he insists that he is poison. She asks where he is going to go, but he refuses to answer. "Get it through your head! It's over!"

At the counter in the coffee house, Adam invites Heather for a moonlight swim at the Ranch. She says she doesn't think it's a good idea. He says Victor and Sabrina aren't home, but Heather sighs and tries to explain that she and Victor have a history. "I tried to put your father in jail for murder." Adam pleads with her to tell him all about it. She fills him in, and says she'd rather stay away from Victor's house. Adam explains to her that he has the ability to compartmentalize things - and right now the only available compartment is going swimming. Reluctantly, she agrees, but just as they are about to leave, Paul arrives. They chat briefly about the Ji Min case, and Paul assures her that he is on board.

At the Club, Victor and Sabrina share dinner. Victor is called to a meeting, so Sabrina says she'll go to the gallery. He mentions that tomorrow will be her first Fourth of July - he'll take her to Boston Harbor! Over at the bar, Nikki sits alone. Nick and Victoria come in. Nikki informs them that David is upstairs packing - he's leaving her! Nick asks Nikki to come and stay at the tack house, but she says no thank you. David comes in just then and joins the group. In the face of Nick and Victoria's hostility, he says he's having the bellman change his room right now. Nick says, "There'll be no room change for you! You need to pack your bags and get the hell out of town!" After Victoria leaves, David goes and checks out. He returns and informs Nick and Nikki as to what he has done. He tells Nick that he is leaving Nikki for her own sake. Nikki protests that it's not what she wants! David says she'll thank her one day. In the background, Victor has noticed what is going on. As David heads out, Victor approaches and asks why David was leaving with a suitcase. Nikki and Nick cover, saying he is going on a business trip. Victor is skeptical. "On the Fourth of July?"

Adrian and Amber wander into Crimson Lights. Adrian takes a call from Sabrina's old professor and Amber heads over to talk to Jana. As they chat, Adrian rejoins them. They explain that they are both working late at Restless Style. Just then, Colleen appears from the back room. They all exchange awkward greetings. At a nearby table, Victoria has sat down with J.T. She fills him in about David, and J.T. confesses that he and Paul had been investigating him. He gives her the outline of what they had found out. Victoria is ticked off that J.T. didn't tell her before! Inside, Sabrina arrives and Adrian tells her that he was just speaking with her former professor - she seems a little uptight about that! At that moment, Adrian takes notice as Colleen's date comes in to pick her up! Over at J.T. and Victoria's table, J.T. tries to justify the reasons for not telling Victoria about David. She says she needs to be alone. J.T. sighs. At the counter inside, Sabrina orders herbal tea from Jana. J.T. wanders in and Sabrina greets him. Just then, he spots Paul and goes to speak with him. Sabrina notices the upset-looking Victoria and approaches her. Victoria tells Sabrina that it's not a good time to talk about anything! Sabrina says talking about the Gala might take her mind off whatever is bothering her. Vikki asks her to sit down. Inside, J.T. fills Paul in on the latest developments with David. Nearby, Adrian and Amber sit at a table. Colleen's date, a student from Adrian's class, approaches and speaks to them. Adrian is morose! Out at Sabrina and Victoria's table, Sabrina is shooting ideas around for the Charity Ball. Victoria gets on board and they start chatting like friends again. Talk turns to Reed, and Sabrina almost tells Vikki that she is pregnant. Victoria cuts her off though and becomes business-like again. Sabrina gives Victor a quick call telling him that she'll just meet him at home. Over at the counter, Jana tells Amber she has had a message from Kevin - he and Daniel are having a great time in Dublin. Amber admits that she still hasn't heard from him. Jana tries to reassure her. Colleen approaches Adrian's table and he tells her that her date wasn't very bright in his class. Colleen tells him that the guy is cute and stalks away. J.T. rejoins Victoria and they hash out the disagreement about his not telling her that he was involved in investigating David. Suddenly, Victoria softens and asks J.T. to continue the investigation. "I want you to keep my mother safe!" J.T. agrees.

Heather and Adam arrive at the Ranch. She asks what time Victor and Sabrina will be home, and insists that he have her out of there with plenty of time to spare. He says she can change in the poolhouse, but she says, "No need." She unveils a sexy, black bikini right there in the living room! They head out for a swim and after they get out of the pool, Adam brings up the case against Victor again. Soon, they start kissing.

Nick arrives at Restless Style. Phyllis asks how Nikki is doing and he fills her in, saying she needed time alone. Phyllis brings up some pictures on the computer screen that have been sent by Daniel. In one picture, Daniel and Kevin are partying surrounded by beautiful blondes! Nick is taken aback, but Phyllis is tickled! Just then, Victor comes in and asks to speak to Nick alone. Phyllis says, "Sure!" Victor then turns to Nick, saying, "Something is wrong with your mother." Nick sighs, "Why do you care, Dad?" Victor replies that Nikki is the mother of two of his children. "She's in trouble! I feel it! I sense it!" Nick tells him it's none of his business, and if Nikki needs help he'll take care of it! Victor warns Nick that David Chow is a dangerous man - he feels it in his bones! After Victor leaves, Nick and Phyllis turn their conversation back to Daniel's antics. Nick notes that the one girl is draped all over him like a cheap suit. Phyllis agrees. "Yep! That's too bad!" Amber and Adrian arrive just then and Phyllis thanks them for coming in so late. She then asks Amber to turn off her computer for her. As Nick and Phyllis watch from the elevator, Amber's face registers total shock as she sees the photo of Daniel!

Victor arrives at the Ranch and Sabrina comes out to greet him. He tells her he ran into Nicholas, but nothing much happened. She happily tells him that she spoke with Victoria and it went well! Just then they hear voices. Sabrina says, "It sounds like Adam has company!" Outside, Heather and Adam make out by the pool. He suggests that they take it upstairs, and as they go in, they run straight into Victor. As Heather goes to change, Victor informs Adam that that woman tried to frame him. Adam says that Heather told him there was something wrong with the evidence - she was just doing her job! Victor tells him bluntly that she is not welcome at the Ranch!

Paul turns up at the Club and joins Nikki, who is sitting alone in the dining room at a table. She smiles a little, "Why is it you always seem to turn up when I need someone?" He tells Nikki that he has always cared about her and always will. He then sincerely tells her he is sorry that she is hurting right now. He takes her for a walk and they wind up at the coffee house. Nikki thanks him for not saying, "I told you so," and they embrace. Just then, David walks in.

Adam has Heather at the Ranch again. Victor confronts him and he tells him, "I take orders from you at work. This is home." Victor growls, "You're defying me in my own home, Son?"

Lauren and Michael join Jeffrey and Gloria at the pool for Independence Day. Lauren says to Glo, "What's that on your finger?" Gloria crows, "Well, we were going to wait until the fireworks..."
