Sharon is less than thrilled to hear about Gloria's latest antics, Adrian gets a new offer, and Phyllis hatches a plot!
As Kevin angrily tidies up around the coffee house, Amber comes in. Gloria sits nearby and takes the wrath of her son, who is worried about being sued! As Amber watches in stunned silence, Kevin tells his mother that she is fired! As Gloria leaves, Adrian comes in and sits with Amber at the counter. They catch up and discuss Colleen and his work woes. Amber suggests that he stop by Restless Style. Adrian is pleased with the idea. Michael also arrives and Kevin fills him in on what occurred earlier. He warns Michael that he thinks Gloria may have headed to the hospital. Michael decides to head out.
At Jabot, Victoria runs into Nikki and tells her about Sabrina asking her to be Matron of Honor, and Victor's visit to try and convince her. Nikki assures Victoria that she had every reason to refuse. Victoria agrees, but admits to her mom that she feels terrible about it!
Phyllis perches on Nick's desk at Restless Style and asks if he has reconsidered his stance on the piece about Sabrina. He tells her he feels it will look even more like Victor is behind the magazine. Phyllis disagrees and challenges him to not let his emotions govern his business decisions. Soon, Jack and Sharon materialize and start coaxing Nick as well. The three plead with him to agree with them that the Sabrina piece is a good idea.
Victor comes into the Ranch, where Sabrina greets him happily. They kiss and coo and he asks her to do him the honor of becoming his bride on June 20th. She tells him that would be a very good day! As she admits she is still hoping that Victoria will changer her mind about being Matron of Honor, Adam comes into the room. Victor asks him to be his Best Man at the wedding. Adam tells him he would love to stand up there with him and Nick, but Victor cuts him off. "Forget Nick." Adam replies that as much as it means to him to be asked to do this, he imagines it would mean much more to Nick if he were left out of it. After he has gone, Nikki comes to the door of the Ranch and Sabrina answers the door. As Victor comes out from the kitchen, Nikki informs them that she has come to get a memento for Miguel, who won't be returning to the Ranch as he has to care for his ailing Aunt. Sabrina excuses herself and Victor muses to Nikki that he misses Miguel. Soon they begin discussing Nick and Victoria. Nikki urges him not to shut them out. Sabrina comes in and announces that Victor's dinner is ready, and Nikki says good bye. Sabrina then tells Victor she would like to see healing between him and his kids so that they can all be together at the wedding.
At the hospital, Jill stands vigil outside Jeffrey's room, when Gloria arrives. As she tries to go in to see her ex-husband, Jill grabs a hold of her, and through gritted teeth, tells Gloria she'll go in there over her dead body! Gloria defiantly states that she'll wait there until she dies then! As Jill goes in to check on Jeffrey, he suddenly is unable to breathe again! Jill rushes out and orders Gloria to get out of there just as Michael arrives. He drags his mother away angrily, telling her he may just take Jeffrey's case himself! In his hospital room, Jeff has stabilized, but is worried he may expire, so he starts writing Gloria a deathbed confession of his love for her! Just then, Jill comes in and says she is so glad he is better, and tells him that she will be taking him home with her! After she walks out, he looks at the love letter and sighs.
Amber arrives back at Restless Style and announces to all that Gloria Bardwell poisoned her husband! Sharon muses, "Well, that's wonderful Jack! We have an assassin living in our pool house!" Jack agrees that Gloria is a bit of a loose cannon. Sharon says she's glad they didn't eat the fruit she brought in this morning! Jack tells Sharon that he is still somehow sure that having Gloria there is what is father wants. She agrees to let her stay for awhile, but wants more security cameras installed! Adrian Korbel comes in announces that he is looking for writing work. Jack invites him to take a look around, and if he can, wait until Nick comes back, so he can meet him as well. Adrian agrees!
At Jabot, Nick drops in to pay his sister a visit. They discuss the fact that Miguel won't be returning to the Ranch. Victoria also talks with her brother about her decision not to disrespect her mother by being in Victor's wedding. Nikki comes back from her visit to the Ranch, and her children explain that they were just discussing Victor's wedding. Nikki tells them not to be afraid to be a part of it - she's really not that fragile!
At the Chancellor Estate, Jill settles Jeff on the sofa and explains to Katherine and Esther that Gloria tried to kill him! Jeffrey speaks up and says it was just a prank - Gloria didn't know that he had the allergy. Katherine notes that Gloria wouldn't even have been at the coffee house if Jill hadn't fired her! Jill and Katherine head out, and Esther brings Jeffrey a cup of tea. When he is kind, she asks why he is different than before. He tells her he has a new perspective. After she leaves the room, Jeffrey re-reads his love letter to Gloria and then tears it up. When Jill comes back into the room to check on him, he slips up and tells Jill that this isn't the first time Gloria has done something like this!
At Michael and Lauren's place, Lauren tries to get information on Jeffrey's condition over the phone, while Michael rails angrily at his mother's stupidity. Kevin comes in and worries that his business may be sued thanks to Gloria! Gloria tells them all that the only thing she cares about is how Jeffrey is doing! She explains to her sons that she finally realizes how in love with him she truly is, just as Lauren gets off the phone and tells them that Jeffrey is no longer registered at the hospital! Kevin states that that means he is either dead or has checked out! Gloria sobs that she has wasted so much time on worthless things - if you don't have love, you have nothing. She wishes for just one more chance with him. Gloria then turns and asks Lauren for a job at the boutique. Michael says 'no', but Gloria begs!
When Nick arrives back at Restless Style, he is introduced to Adrian and they all agree that he should write the piece on Sabrina. Victor arrives with the intention of reconciling with Nick. He gives his stamp of approval to the article on Sabrina, but just as he is about to ask Nick a question, Nick launches into a tirade about Sabrina being so rude as to ask Victoria to be her Matron of Honor. Victor tells Nick that he has forgotten why he came, and leaves. Nick joins Phyllis at her desk, where she is watching Amber talking to Adrian. She notes what a cute couple they'd make, and Nick warns her not to interfere! But Phyllis strides across the room to Adrian, saying, "Since you'll be working with Sabrina downstairs, let's set you up with a desk in here. Right next to Amber's!" Nick smirks and shakes his head.
Katherine arrives at Jabot to find Nikki looking down. Nikki explains about Miguel, and about going to the Ranch and encountering Sabrina. When Katherine notes that it must be difficult seeing her there, Nikki says the only thing that bothers her is the distance between Victor and his kids. Katherine notes that this kind of thing happens all the time.
When Victor arrives home, Sabrina and Adam are both there. He announces that he has made a decision - he would like Adam to be his Best Man at the wedding. Adam asks again about Nick, but Victor stresses that he only wants Adam to do it. Adam smiles and agrees that if that is what Victor really wants, he would be honored!
