Adam picks up a woman at the gym, Paul warns David, Michael contends with Gloria, who gets terrible news!
Paul and J.T. are at Crimson Lights discussing the death of David's ex-wife, where the brakes failed on her car. Paul tells J.T. that the woman's daughter doesn't believe it was an accident.
At Jabot, David hands Brad $10,000 and they shake hands. Nikki, who has witnessed this, approaches as Brad walks away, and asks David what that was all about. He replies, "Nikki, there is something you need to know." Brad heads to the conference room, where Jill is finishing up with Heather. Jill tells Brad that Heather was a great hire, "That girl lives at her desk!" Back out in the hall, David lies to Nikki that he and Brad were discussing the lawsuit, and that Brad was trying to convince him that they should settle. He tells her that Brad is making sense, and suggests that they let Heather draw up a settlement. Nikki is furious! She discusses it further with David, and finally throws her hands up, saying, "Fine. If Victor wants to pay us what we're asking for, we'll settle!" David reminds her it won't be that simple - Victor will want a war! Nikki says she doesn't care what he wants, and reminds David that they need to present a united front at Jabot. Having successfully distracted Nikki from the true reason he was speaking to Brad, David embraces her and agrees.
Lauren and Michael are at home and some contractors are just leaving after finishing some renovations. As the men make their way out of the door, Gloria arrives, warning the workers to be careful, "My son is a lawyer and he loves to sue!" Michael snidely remarks that perhaps he'll sue her, "For what? Contributory negligence this time?" They then shock Gloria by informing her that they have converted the third bedroom to a home office! When she asks where she is supposed to sleep, Michael answers, "Well, I picture you hanging from a rafter, wrapped in your leathery wings!" As talk turns to her divorce, Michael warns Gloria that she will have to pay Jeffrey whatever amount it takes to stay out of prison. Gloria whines that she will end up living on a park bench, as Lauren and Michael roll their eyes. Suddenly, Jill calls and wants to see Gloria immediately. Gloria assumes that Jill loves her proposal and tells her son and his wife as much. Michael smiles at the idea of Gloria 'earning money', as she takes off to Jabot.
At the elevator in Jabot, Heather encounters Brad, who asks her out for dinner. She informs him that she isn't comfortable dating someone she works with. He tries to flirt, but she shuts him down! In the conference room, Gloria arrives and greets Jill. No time is wasted as Jill bluntly tells Gloria that there is no easy way to say this, "You're fired!" Gloria is stunned as Jill goes on to say her proposal sucks! Gloria tries to convince Jill that she can work on Jabot Retro, but Jill tells her it isn't happening - she hasn't shown up for a single meeting! Gloria says she'll change, but Jill won't hear it. Gloria warns Jill that this is John's company and she can't just throw her out! Jill reminds Gloria that John believed in hard work, not hand-outs! Once the security guard escorts her to get her belongings, Brad saunters in to speak to Jill who fills him in on Gloria's termination. Brad smirks, "Can't say as I'm surprised!"
At the coffeehouse, J.T. speaks to Adam, who has recently arrived. Adam refuses to discuss the lawsuit with J.T. because he is married to the plaintiff. J.T. reminds Adam that they are on the same side, but Adam is stubborn about it, and ends up insulting J.T. by calling him a 'rent-a-cop in a nice suit'! After Adam leaves, Nikki and David wander in. Paul and J.T. whisper that David makes their skin crawl! When Nikki takes a phone call, Paul decided to initiate a chat with Mr. Chow. Paul grills David about why they went to get married so quickly in Mexico. David makes excuses, and Paul explains that he is concerned about Nikki - they are old friends and he won't stand by and see her hurt. David assures Paul he has nothing to worry about. As Paul offers him a coffee, David remarks that caffeine at night makes him jittery. Paul snarks, "Really? I thought it was me making you jittery!" Nikki comes over and smiles at Paul's over protectiveness. As Nikki and Paul take a stroll down memory lane, David tries to get her to call it a night. Just as David gets a text message from his bookie that cheers him up, Paul takes a call from Mina, David's former stepdaughter - she's ready to talk!
Still at home, Michael and Lauren get amorous. Lauren goes into the other room, and returns in a stunning green negligee. Michael grabs her and they kiss deeply. Just then, Gloria begins banging on the door. Michael tells Lauren to ignore his mother, but she persists until Michael proclaims that he is going to murder her! Lauren runs off to get her robe as Michael opens the door. "Boundaries, Gloria. Boundaries!" Gloria faces Michael's ire and tells him and Lauren that Jill has fired her. Michael, still furious, reminds her that she isn't allowed to stay at their place. Gloria prepares to leave, until Lauren prompts Michael to speak up. He tells her he didn't want to be involved in her schemes, but unemployment and divorce aren't schemes. They agree to let Gloria stay on the sofa, but Michael warns her to try and settle with Jeffrey before the upcoming divorce hearing. Once alone, Lauren remarks to Michael that giving away $50 million did nothing for Gloria's karma - or theirs! They discuss how to get her out as soon as possible. Lauren slips out of her robe and suggests that they take advantage of their last night alone. Michael takes her in his arms.
At the Club gym, Adam runs into Heather and compliments her 'nice glutes'. She smiles and thanks him. He persists in trying to get her attention by asking if she wants a spotter. As they have a little chat, Adam asks if she likes martinis. She says, "I like 'em dirty!" Adam introduces himself, so that she doesn't have to drink with a stranger, and smiling, they continue their workout. When they venture to the bar area after changing, Adam compliments her and they verbally spar as they trade information on which schools they attended and so on. They establish that they're both single and order their dirty martinis with huge smiles on their faces. As they drink, they compare notes on places they have both traveled to, like New Orleans. They discover that they have a lot in common, including a love of college basketball. She invites him upstairs to watch the game she has recorded!
Still at Jabot, Jill asks security to clear out anything that is left in Gloria's office. Suddenly her cell phone rings - it's Jeffrey asking her to dinner! She rushes off to meet him at the Club, where he reminds Jill that tomorrow is his divorce mediation. Jill, in turn, tells Jeff that she fired Gloria that day. He sighs and says Gloria never did take her job seriously! Just then, a glowering Gloria arrives and looks directly at Jill and Jeffrey! She approaches the table and asks to speak to Jeffrey for a moment alone. Jill accommodates her. Gloria sits down and offers Jeffrey 98% of everything if he will settle. He tells her that he wants it all - and he's getting it all! She tells him that if he ever cared for her at all, he will not leave her penniless! He again says 'no', and reminds her that she showed him no compassion when he told her that he loved her. With that, he excuses himself.
Now upstairs in Heather's room, Adam notes that she actually doesn't have a DVR! She replies, "Oh yeah, you're right. It must be in storage!" With that they fall into one another's arms and begin kissing passionately!

I don't want to think I'm starting to imagine things! I do believe there was a remark about only two bedrooms.. Well if we're wrong, someone will say so.
