Deepening Guilt...

Wednesday, September 19 2007
Jack's guilt consumes him, and Jill sets out to find the truth...

Reading the morning paper, Jill snaps to Kay and Cane that the press is accusing Ji Min of having the stolen money! Although Kay has never been a fan of the man, she comforts Jill and reminds her how much Ji Min really loved her. Later, after Cane leaves, Jill begins to wonder if she was wrong about Ji Min. However, Kay continues to show her daughter support.

At Kevin’s, with Nick at his side, Michael goes over Kevin, Amber and Daniel’s case, to which he announces Ji Min as the one who was in possession of the stolen money! Although the money was found, Michael warns they could still face prison time. However, Michael assures Gloria – and everyone – that he has a plan!

Just as Michael says he plans to go over Heather’s head, Nick gets a call from Phyllis who says, “Hey sexy…” After Nick says that Summer is doing great, Phyllis expresses her worries that Daniel will go to prison, to which Nick promises to watch out for him. Abruptly, a guard appears and Phyllis has to hang up…

After Nick tells everyone that Phyllis can receive visitors now – except for him – Michael gets back to the case at hand. Since the courts are trying to build a case against Agent Bonacheck, Michael thinks if they all testify against him – including Cane – he may be able to get Kevin, Amber and Daniel off! Knowing Cane doesn’t answer Amber’s calls, Michael contacts Cane and reminds him of the federal agent who kidnapped him – and held a gun to his head – and asks Cane to testify against the man for that reason, not to save Amber.

Later, when Cane arrives at Kevin’s, although Michael explains his plan to ask for immunity in exchange for all their testimonies, Cane doesn’t initially want to contribute to Amber, Kevin and Daniel’s freedom. However, after everyone pleads for Cane’s help, and Michael asks Cane to put his personal feelings aside, he reluctantly agrees to testify.

At the coffeehouse, although Nick tries to charm and bribe Heather to pull some strings so he can see Phyllis, Heather replies, “It’s not going to happen.” Despite Daniel backing Nick up, Heather smiles then says, “I’ll see you in court.” Once she’s gone, Nick tells Daniel to go visit Phyllis then puts in a call to the mayor’s office.

While Jack reads some press releases surrounding his scandal online, Sharon again suggests he come clean with the truth. After Sharon listens to Jack make a statement over the phone about the tape being a fake, she says, “I wish you didn’t make lying look so easy.” Although Jack says he believes in what he’s doing, as a senator, Sharon can’t show him public support on this. However, after Jack talks about a campaign to keep young mothers in school, Sharon agrees to stand by his side for such a worthy cause.

When Jack and Sharon arrive at The Club later that day, Gloria confronts Jack and says, “I happen to believe what the media is saying about you.” Although Gloria vows to fuel the media’s fire with her take on Jack, he warns no one will listen to a black widow spider like her!

After Jack and Sharon walk away, a reporter approaches them to ask for Sharon’s take on the senator’s allegations, to which she stands by her husband’s side!

Later, when they return home, Jack thanks Sharon for supporting him in public. Although Sharon understands why Jack lied, she can’t understand how he can live with it.

Michael enters The Club and goes to Heather’s table then says, “Let’s make a deal.” Although Heather doesn’t want to cut Daniel, Amber and Kevin a deal, she changes her tune when Michael announces they’ll be testifying for the US Attorney General’s office! Heather is furious that Michael strong-armed her!

Back at Kevin’s, just as Gloria tries to convince Kevin that Michael will figure something out to get him off, Michael arrives home and announces he got them all a deal: two years probation and ninety hours of community service – no jail! After the three toast to Michael’s success, Gloria brings up the brilliance of her sons: Michael’s law skills and Kevin’s computer skills. With talk of the footage Kevin obtained of Jack saying he owned Jabot, Gloria plans to release it – without being traced. However, Michael loses it and screams for her to cool it and just be happy that they dodged the latest bullet!

After Michael leaves, Kevin and Gloria watch the Jabot footage they taped, to which Gloria again wants to figure out a way to release the tape anonymously then says, “The public deserves to see who the real Jack Abbott is.”

When Daniel arrives at the prison, he gives Phyllis his good news! In tears, Phyllis says, “I’m so relieved you’re not going to end up in a place like this.” After talking about her life in prison, Daniel tells Phyllis, “Nick is miserable without you and hates it that he can’t come and see you.” Before Daniel leaves, Phyllis asks him to tell Nick how much she loves him and that she’s okay.

At The Club, Nick makes some more phone calls with hope of being able to get in to see Phyllis. While waiting for a reply, he stares at a picture of her on his cell. Just as Michael arrives to meet with Nick, Heather approaches them and tears into Michael for going over her head saying, “Daniel should be doing time, as well as your brother and his girlfriend!”

Just as Amber approaches Cane at Crimson Lights to thank him, she gets a call from Michael. After she hangs up, Amber excitedly throws herself in Cane’s arms and says, “Michael got us a deal!” Although Amber tries to repair her relationship with Cane, he replies, “You saved my mom… we’re even.” Cane leaves…

Just then, when Maggie approaches Amber and asks why she rented Ji Min’s room after his death, Amber explains wanting to find the money – in order to turn it in. Though Maggie asks if there’s anything else Amber would like to tell her, Amber sticks to her guns, to which Maggie smiles then leaves…

Back at the Estate, although Jill talks of Amber and wonders why she was standing over Ji Min’s body, Cane assures her Amber is a lot of things, but not a killer. However, Jill vows to find out how Ji Min died and what he went through during the last minutes of his life!

Why is it other people are getting punished for their crimes except the Black Widow Gloria... she is really getting on my very last nerve... and Kevin why would you help her until you are sentence to jail you'll never learn.

Can't wait for Gloria to get her share of what's coming...glad to hear Jack will be confessing his sins Gloria should learn a thing or two from him.

I hope they find out about Amber and the money and i hope she ends up doing some jail time. She obviously has not changed and does not care. As for Daniel and Kevin they should not have gotten off so easy tho i do feel more compassion for them than Amber. As for Gloria I hope she ends up in Jail for life. oh and i change my mind I dont feel sorry for kevin at all, he never learns.

I am also waiting for Amber to get her share too... she got off too easy I think majority of GC residents gets off easy all except for Phyllis.

I llike Gloria. I sure hope she restrains herself from doing something else stupid. As for the threesome, don't worry about them not being punished. There is no way they can last thru probation and not get into trouble again!

As much as I don't care for Phyllis, she seems to be the only one who has to pay for her actions. I'm not worried about the three stooges, they'll never make it through probation without messing up. Gloria needs to listen to Michael.

I don't think that Lily is pregnant, but I hope one night she's at their apt crying over her divorce and he comes over to get some clothing that she didn't pack up and they cannot suppress their feelings over a glass of wine she has already poured for herself and some reinvited memories of their good-hard times (like the beach scene). I want Sharon and Nick to get back together and have a baby. Gloria is a evil person. Being that she got off w/ murder she should have compassion for Jack deceit. I want Jack and Phyllis to get back together and raise their little girl. Amber is the one who needs to grow up!! Cane could have hugged her back as a response to her hugging him. Everything done in the dark will come to the light sooner or later.

I hate the guts of Gloria, if it wasn't for Gloria, Jack would have never kicked out of Jabot and he would have not done what he did. If it wasn't for her Jack would have not lost his dad! I think the face cream incident should comeout and Jack would know Gloria is the cause for everything bad happened to him...

Brad should be locked up in Jail!

LOL Marylou..."I'm not worried about the three stooges, they'll never make it through probation without messing up." Soooo, true!

I'm tired of this whole s/l. Kevin and Amber have both always bored me.

While I don't like how they've turned Daniel into a problematic person and hanging out with the two door knobs above, I like his character. (Remember the episode when he caught Phyllis and Nick together and he tore her a new one?) What superb acting and great daytime TV...I want to see more reality like that!

Get rid of Gloria all together!

The way that Maggie was questioning Amber today it seems like she has something up her sleeve. Amber will be the first one to screw up her probation and I hope she doesn't take any of the guys down with her. When is Kevin going to learn to tell Gloria NO!!! Gloria is fast to get Jack into trouble but she should stop to count her lucky stars that no one is after her....at the moment that is haha
