I like Daris but he is no Shemar Moore. Maybe Boris kojo I could see.

I am glad the Malcolm character is coming back. Yes, Darius is not Shemar, however he might just do the character justice. I am anxiously awaiting his arrival. Good luck! I personally would like to see Dru return too. Rumor has the castmates do not feel the same way.

I can't believe this!!! WHY? He will never be Malcolm Winters. He is nothing like Shemar Moore. If they want to take a character in a different direction then create a new character. I'm sure he is a fine actor but I am getting tired of Y&R after 30 yrs. First the stunt with Jess Walton then Melodie Thomas-Scott and Eric Braeden, now this botched up casting mess. I'm speechless.

I think that we all had bad things to say when the new Mac came to town.. and now i miss the original, but this one is doing great!! I don't think we should automatically say " oh he's no Shemar Moore.."... yes I loved him but I am sure once we get used to Darius we will see him as Malcolm just as now see Mac as Mac...:)
Casting changes happen all the time... Do you even remeber what the origianl Billy looked like??..or Jill... or even Jack. lets give Darius a chance and be glad that the character is back.. Lily needs him!!..:)

I completely agree with you, jiggybum & turtlemom. Darius is a great actor and while he is not Shemar Moore he still doesnt deserve to be disrespected by you other people. Give him a chance before you criticize! I think he will do a great job!

Sad thing is he was born in 1976 and she was born in 1987...with only an eleven year apart difference, can they really pull it off he being her father?? Shemar was born in 1970...that is more believable to me...oh well, we'll wait and see!

my only comment, besides that he is hot is that I dont think he looks old enough to be the "father" of Lily, maybe the brother but not the father. Maybe they will find a way to make him look older.
