I think the writers have lost their screwed on heads! How awful the writing has become! We all know it is it is all make-believe in a soap, but come on people this is more insulting than believing we can all fly with our arms flapping in the breeze!
Mr. Braeden's leaving will cost. The ratings of the show will drop and off of the air will be next. Mark my written words.

The storline at this point is the least of our and their worries. yu just cannot get rid of victor newman as played by mr braedon.
For what reason, he's not demanding a big ridiculous pay, just not a cut. How do yu cut someone who is and always has been making money for you????

Doesn't mater anymore since they are not renewing Victor's
contract. Might as well cancel the show. You writer don't know what is best. Why can't you leave things alone that work well.

I have been watching young &the restless for 35 years. That is the only one I watch. I even have my husband hooked on it. Victor Newman is your show. Nikki,Mrs.Chancellor are your show. If you want to weed out some, howabout the one with the sickness and her sickning husband. I can't stand them anymore. I would think twice before getting rid of Victor. He goes we go.

It will be devastating for Victor Newman to leave the cast. Hell Victor is Young and the Restless. I think the writers or whoever has the hand in Mr. Braeden's departure should rethink it and do what they can to keep him. If he leaves then get ready for the show to end. As for Adam and the baby and all his foolishness, it needs to be revealed and close some of these too long story lines before starting another one.

I cannot believe that the writers are letting Victor Newman go. You already lost the emmy. Victor is irreplacable. He is the only person on a soap opera that has to die in real life. All of my family and friends will be boycotting the soap. Hire new writers or give them a pay cut. Victor is the main reason why everyone watches the show. You will fail miserably when all you have to do is not cut his salary. How trivial have you become I can assure you that this will cost you all more than it would to keep him.He is the YOUNG and The Restless you better renegotiate before November 2 or your show will be doomed. It is such a shame that the writers are so far from reality to think that this will work. This is the only soap I watch and because of Victor. Pride before destruction, the late Mr. Bell is probably rolling over in his grave that the writers are making moves that can destroy his legacy. I say all of the cast quit and stand behind My Victor he is absolutely one of the greatest characters brought to daytime. I am sure he will be rehired somewhere and get what he is worth, but He, Nikki, Mrs. Chancelor, Jack and Jill make the show. No Victor no more viewing. This is the last straw of the painful storylines that your fans have had to endure this year. Please come to your senses before it is too late. KEEP THE GREATEST MAN ON THE SOAPS Eric Braedon aka Victor Newman. We love hating him.

Do not let Eric Braeden go. Nikki and he are an integral part of Y & R as is Jack. Keep the Newman, Chancellor, and Abbott families intact as they are now. (You could let Adam go) Bring back Michael and Lauren, also.

You are ruining Y & R. There are too many kiddy players in it now as some of the main stories.

If it goes too far astray, I can stop watching it as will many others.

Y&R writing has been going down hill for a long time. This tops the cake, to let Eric Braden go after all of his years of acting on the Y&R. The writing alone regarding Nick and Sharon's baby was absolutely off the wall. The far off the wall schemes of Adam have proven to me that they need new writers. Sharon, they keep so down trodden it is pathetic. I think the person that said the writer's salary should be cut, has a good idea. Eric Braden surely should be kept on the program as long as he wants to stay. They could cut someone else's salary with less seniority or cut the writer's salary if their budget is so scarce, which I doubt. Hopefully, some great storylines will soon emerge to keep the program popular.
