More Y&R Exits! Friday, July 13 2007

The revolving door to the soap world has opened and shut yet again. Although The Young and the Restless is set to gain two new actresses, Vail Bloom (Heather Stevens) on July 13, 2007 and Tammin Sursok (Colleen Carlton) on June 30, 2007, the show is losing two more actors.

On the heels of Adrianne Leon’s shocking exit news, it was announced that fellow cast mates Ted Shackelford (William Bardwell) will leave the show on July 18, 2007 with Billy Warlock (Ben Hollander) close behind. Although neither of the actors were to be signed on long term, it’s still a disappointment to fans who were so excited to see these great actors back on the daytime scene, especially Warlock after his November 2006 exit from Days of Our Lives.

Joining Y&R in 2006, Ted Shakelford starred in primetime television series Dallas and Knots Landing, as well as making appearances in other primetime series.

Although Billy only spent a little over two months with the show, we’re sure he’ll have no trouble finding another niche in daytime. Warlock's daytime career includes roles such as Ricky Driscoll on Capitol in 1984 and Frankie Brady on Days of Our Lives from 1986-1988, 1990-1991, 2005 - November 2006 to which he won the Daytime Emmy for Best Actor/Younger Leading Man in 1988.
