The Young and the Restless - NEWS ROOM

The 2009 Daytime Emmy Awards were held last night, August 30, in Los Angeles, California. Soaps.com is pleased to tell its readers that one of the big winners of the night was The Young and the Restless's Christian LeBlanc, who puts 110% into every performance as attorney Michael Baldwin.

Christian was congratulated by other cast members such as Michelle Stafford (Phyllis) and Emily O'Brien (Jana) as he made his way up to the podium, where he emotionally accepted the Daytime Emmy for Best Leading Man in a Drama.

Christian does a fantastic job of portraying the multi-faceted Michael, who routinely experiences dramatic displays of emotions while dealing with his high-maintenance family members and difficult clients. Of course, this is always contrasted by his romantic and gentle interactions with his wife, Lauren (Tracy Bregman). For his Emmy reel, Christian submitted the Christmas 'Scrooge' scenes!
