I come from watching,THE SLOWEST MOVING SOAP OPERA EVER, Passions along with Days (which I must say is finally getting some sizzle) I feel the Y&R is so exciting! I think the pace is just right. The only thing I have a bother about is Mac. I think she look horrible with those extensions and she looks too old for Billy. I fast forward when shes on. Love everything else! keep it up Y&R!

Thank you clicquot1 for the update. That's has been the best information I got so far on the old Patti/Jack s/l.
Someone mentioned how Victor would feel when this crazy woman goes after Sharon. Huh...how will he feel when the psycho chick he brought to GC threatens his grand-daughter Summer. Hopefully Phyllis will get a bad vibe and not let her anywhere near her child.

Oh yes, Patty Williams. The crazy that shot Jack. Well the face lift of Mary Jane was great she look nothing like Patty. How will Y&R pull that off to reveal who she is in the natural without her looking like Mary Jane now. Wow Jack is in for a ride. And Paul you would think he would have kept in touch with his crazy sister. He is a private investigator. I don't remember if they got along in the past. This is great. But not matter how much surgery you get you can never change your eyes. Can't wait to see whats up next.

Jack's first wife
In the early 1980s, Patty fell in love with Jabot heir Jack Abbott (Terry Lester), much to her parents' disapproval. A jealous Jill Foster (then played by Deborah Adair) then confessed to Patty that she and Jack had been secret lovers. A furious Jack fired Jill from Jabot. Patty then accepted a date from Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian).

Patty eventually left Danny and became involved with Jack. Patty's father, Carl (Brett Hadley), tried to break up the union, and Jack retaliated by marrying Patty. Patty soon became suspicious that Jack was only interested in her for sex. Jack, meanwhile, began seeing Diane Jenkins (Alex Donnelley) behind Patty's back. When Patty caught Jack and Diane together in his office, she was so traumatized that she tripped over a plant in the lobby and miscarried. When Patty recovered, she told Jack she wanted another child. Later she overheard Jack telling Jill (then Brenda Dickson) of his plans to have a vasectomy, and that he only married Patty so that his father John (Jerry Douglas) would make him president of Jabot. This sent Patty over the edge and she arrived at Jack's office with a loaded gun to kill herself in front of Jack. Jack admitted to Patty that he had been cruel to her, and begged her not to shoot herself, but to shoot him. Patty shot Jack three times.

Patty temporarily lost all memory of the shooting. Jack survived and was paralyzed in a hospital bed for some time. Patty's father Carl was the police detective in charge of finding Jack's attacker and became convinced Jill had done it; only Jack knew that Patty had shot him. After the truth finally came out, Jack refused to press charges, and Patty later divorced Jack and left town.
