I would of hoped they would completely do away with the "adam wilson" role. It is one of the worst ideas to come across the screen..... there are so many good things that could be covered by the writers, but making someone as mean and vicious as the character of adam is getting away from the setting of the story. It is one thing to have the Jack and Victor feud going on all the time, but to add to it with this mean character is just unreal. if this continues, this will be another fan that will completely quit watching.

do the writers even care what the fans think? I personally do not believe they do. The absolutely have ruined a good soap with all this meanness. If they are angry at Chris over the gay story line, then too much sex is just as bad. I happen to be one of those who likes to believe that there is a little bit that needs to be left to the imagination. There are a lot of pre schoolers and youngsters that don't need to see all this drama but the writers don't seem to care that the mothers and grandmothers who watch soaps have to try and explain some of the goings on. Little ones need to have some imagination left.... loving one another is okay, even the gay story lines are okay if they are presented in a good way and not made to come across as a bad thing leaving some imagination for the younger ones.

Chris Engen is a VERY talented actor. If I was put into the position he was as an actor, and COME ON PEOPLE, you know, YOU KNOW, his family has to be giving him grief about the character he's playing on Y&R. Adam is dipsicable as a human being. Chlomidia is hated, but at least we can understand where her inner "B" comes from. Waahdumb is a character that we can never understand. Good luck Chris, and if I were an actor and this stupid S/L was written for me, I'd get out of Dodge too. Three words!!! Watch my horsedust!!!

i AGREE WITH ALOT OF PPL WHO POSTED ON HERE....YES I HATE THE WAY THIS CHRACTER IS GOING AND IT WAS A COP OUT FOR CHRIS ENGEN LEFT NOT WILLING TO STAY CUZ HES A HOMOPHOBE... LOL HEATH LEDGER DID IT WHY CAN'T YOU? LOL....GOOD RIDDENS I KNOW MICHAEL MUHNEY IS EXCITED I CANNOT WAIT FOR HIM TO MAKE AN AWESOME SPLASH GO WITH THE FLOW AND CHANGE THE PREVIOUS CHARACTERS ACTIONS OF ARROGANCE, SELEF CENTERED AND ABSORBANT...TO MORE OF FORGIVING OF HIS PAST TREATMENT OF VICTOR AND FINALLY STAND @ HIS FATHERS SIDE !!!

Good Luck!! I hope the writer nix the gay storyline and start letting Adam act like the Harvard man he is. There is no way he would be wasting time scarying a pregnant woman and injecting a foreign substance in his eyes.

Well I hope he has continued success, and even though he role was kinda crazy, he has left a memory in my mind. Good Luck to ya, Chris. Whatever the reason he decided to exit his role, it must have been something he just absolutely could not do. All the money in the world did not matter to him, a belief is a belief.

I liked Adam at first, we was so different than anyone they ever had, but they wrote the character into a corner with the framing of Victor. There's no where to go with him but to eventually kill him off. They should have kept his motives a mystery a lot longer, Adam & Billy were on track to be the Victor & Jack of the future.

Getting tired of the storyline..why wouldn't the great Victor Newman have cameras all over the house to catch who is doing this to his Ashley? Come on...Victor kept a man in his basement and had cameras...writers are slipping here.
