Maybe these writers will get a clue that they are going about it the wrong way with this character. I think that Chris probably visited this board often and knows what the fans want out of him. The writers really don't care about us fans lets just face it ya'll. It's all about them not us. I am very dissappointed in this turn of events.

Supposedly Chris left because of his religious beliefs. If that's case then I'm not the one would not knock anyone for their religious beliefs. But when you are an actor, you knew that par of the course...It's a job!!! If the writers write in a scene that you drop your pants, paint your butt pink and press it against the glass of Sorority House. Then you do it...IT'S A JOB! Because it might progress the story then you do it. You are under contract. Even if you knew months in advance that there might be a hint of a chance that your character might have a gay affair...and you felt uncomfortable about it...then you should've walked months ago. You can't say you didn't see the writing on the wall! I mean come on we the audience knew about it and its been rumored or hinted online for months! Then you think the writers were going to have a last minute reprieve or something. Unless you've been the show longer than Jeanne Cooper, Eric Braden, Melody Scott Thomas,etc. You don't have pull, newbie. There our millions of young actors out there who would've killed for shot for this role! But you have to do what is best for you....Good luck with everything! And the woman who said that that's why she stop watch GL and ATWT because the gay characters. I really feel sorry for you (and your son or daughter because if they ever come out of the closet to you....You would probably cut them out of your life) ...maybe you should watch All My Children..oops Gay Characters..how about GH:Night Shift...awww,that's right...Gay Characters. Well leaves OLTL,DAYS,GH and B&B (and that one is just a matter of time)...and if this tread keeps up....you'll be force to watch Rachel Maddox....oops, then again how about Fox...NEWS. Nothing harmful there!

It's not the actor they need to replace but the ridiculous storyline. Am I the only one who is getting sick of the Adam/Victor/Ashley story?

I am so disappointed. I loved Chris Engen and I will miss him. As far as Adam being the one involved with another man, well I guess the writer's really went over the edge with this poor actor. Talking about being thrown under a bus. Wow.

Good for Chris. The story line is utterly uncalled for between Adam & Rafe. Rafe is no one essential on the show & Adam is a Newman & has all kinds of possibilities for other story lines.

I hate what they did to the Adam character. Chris Engen was perfect in the role as it was when he first came to GC. But when they turned him into a sniffling little runt I began to care less about the character and the storyline. Too Bad, so much potential just blown in the wind. I don't blame Chris for leaving. There is a lot more potential for him elsewhere playing a much more dynamic role. JMO of coarse.

Why do these shows cram the Gay life down our throats. I am not against gays but they just need to not make a big issue out of it. I liked Chris and I believe his views needed repected too. That road is worn out....

Just airing my views; when i saw the intensity which Yani (Rafe) was acting with, I was like wait a minute, Are they gonna pull a Passions like Chad and Vincent. I wasn't shocked and i think the 'rumor' is true!

I was wondering if Y&R would lose viewers. I still think that Y&R should not go there. Its good to see the soap taking on challenging issues in society; but should ALL the soaps deal with same stories?? I think that is why Daytime Dramas are diminishing. Anyway, we just have to wait and see what Daytime's #1 show have in store for us, the viewers.
