Big Brother 2 Winner, Big Brother All-Stars housemate and The Young and the Restless guest-star Will Kirby!
Wednesday, November 15, 2006
It's 4:00pm eastern time here in New York and while most are getting ready to end their work day, I have one more very important meeting before I call it a day. I pick up the phone and make the call to Los Angles, California...
"Hello?" says a male voice, the same voice that wooed millions of viewers who tuned in to the CBS reality show Big Brother. "Hi Will. It's Amy Mistretta with Soaps.com."
"Hey Amy, how are you!"
Now, fans, I have to pause here to tell you... I've watched every season of Big Brother, so, as you can imagine, I'm a huge fan. Not only was Will Kirby a fan favorite, he was also the one housemate I found myself routing for throughout Season 2 and Big Brother All-stars. Being able to talk to Will is a huge treat for me!
However, before I question Will about his time on Big Brother, I want to hear all about his guest appearance on The Young and the Restless!
"Can you tell us about your experience on Y & R?"
"It was absolutely phenomenal, couldn't have been more fun. Peter Bergman [Jack Abbott] ran lines with me, putting me at ease. He was a true professional," Will says with excitement.
"Which actors did you met and can you give us one word to describe them based on your first impression?"
"I only interacted with Peter Bergman. If I had to choose one word to describe him, it would be classy."
Soaps.com has received tons of fan mail pleading for The Young and the Restless to bring back Will, so I ask, "Is being a daytime actor something you'd be interested in?"
"I'd love to," Will says. "Right now my schedule won't allow long term, but if it did, I'd definitely want to be a daytime actor."
Besides being an overnight sensation within the world of reality TV, Will is a licensed Dermatologist who specializes in laser tattoo removal, cutaneous oncology, and facial cosmetic procedures.

"Every fan wants to know..." I go on to ask, "How much alike are you and your onscreen alter ego "Chill Town's Evil Dr. Will?"
"With all reality shows, there's some truth to the character," Will replies. "While I tried to be more of a villain, in real life I'd like to think I'm more laid back."
"What was it like living with the same group of people for three months?"
"Big Brother was miserable," Will admits. "It makes you realize the things you take for granted - the freedom to step away - In the Big Brother house, you can't do that. It's pure isolation."
During the time Will spent in the house, he infuriated more than a few of his housemates... So I ask, "Care to share any thoughts on any of your housemates from Big Brother All-stars?"
"I have great relationships with all of the actors who made it most of the way through the show. As a matter of fact, I just spoke to Howie today."
Just hearing Howie's name caused a laugh to escape me, remembering back on how Howie used to drive Will crazy with all of his touchy, feely antics LOL!
"Who was the funniest housemate and why?" I proceed.
"I'd have to say Mike Boogie." Will laughs. "He has an incredible talent."
With our interview coming to an end, I thank Will for taking the time out to talk to me to where Will replies, "It's been my pleasure, Amy."
We say our goodbyes, then the interview ends...
Will asked me to please send his thanks and appreciation to all of his fans. He also wanted me to let you know that he's hoping to make another visit to The Young and the Restless in the future. In fact, fans, my sources tell me, that rumor has it this may be a very big possibility! For all of you who would like to see Will return to Genoa City, let the Powers-That-Be know how you feel by sending your letters to:
