Candace, Do you think they will do with the Cloe/Cane baby thing? Or they just going to let this be what it is? I personlly would like to see Billy/Cloe together. If they don't put Cane/Lilly back then that is fine too. Just want to father to know the truth! the writers know that people don't like Cane/Cloe that much together but with other people. I like Billy and I believe he deserves to know.

Hey Candace,

You Rocked This Rant Right Off The Map!

I was thinking the same on the charaters, but you really summed it all up very beautifully.

I cried and laughed so much this week, i still find myself asking what the heck was Jill doing in treating Nikki like she was a piece of do dog crap?!

Atleast let alone poor Amber, too.
Now this time Amber didn't need to be treated so harshly by Jill either.
All she wanted to was honor Kay's wishes by publishing her book for a dear friend who loved her more than her own mother ever did.
Jill doesn't care who she stabs in the back, even at the expense of her own children just to still get back at Kay for abandoning her all those years ago and taking Cane away from her.
Now she loves Kay please, "Give Me A Break"!
That's just a bunch of bull**** in my book to even believe her at this point- Nasty Jill then and even more now.
I hope Kay's will leaves her with almost nothing for being such a b****h! (lol)

Jeanne Cooper, has out done herself by playing an alcoholic Marge C. and Catherine Chancellor at the same time as twin sisters maybe.
Well Done, Jeanne Cooper!
I found myself in tears for Marge and Kay's delima of seeing an alcoholic woman such as Marge trying to overcome her "battle with the bottle", but sadly lost her life with Kay in a rain storm.
Marge's ghostly funeral scene speech, was absolutely perfect!
I thought that she was really actually talking to us viewers and on the show as well.

Hover it was really good to see Nina, Brock and Dina back.
I'd like to see more of them in a story line perhaps that will have them staying in Genoa City for awhile or for good.

Wow - with the old characters back in play, Y&R has the opportunity to make a bang before sending them back to pasture. In the multi-dramas of the day, it would be Ashley and Victor that up-ended "Katherine's" funeral. If you don't see my point, just watch the last part of Y&R again. Ashley set the stage perfectly for Victor's entrance. At the end you could just hear Nikki and Jack's faces cracking into oblivion. They both realize the trouble they're facing now and the fireworks will really start after the funeral.
Great script for today's show!

Hey Candace girlfriend !!! Everyone is speculating that Phyllis is Sheila here my take. I think Summer would know if she wasn't her moma because, when Sheila had Summer and Fen the babies were crying and she couldn't make her comforable as her moma and Phyllis went to her and she knew the difference. but now since this is a soap and the writers have the tendency to blow our minds she could turn out to be her. but I agree with one of the other posters that said when Danny was in town they had talked about things in their past that Sheila would not know. M/S is a good actress. I hope they don't turn her into being Sheila. but that she will get Sharon back. what do you think? and Jeanne Cooper is a great Actress too. but, I bet it was creepy laying in that casket. even if it was just acting. "SHIVER ME TIMBERS" !!! LOL!!!!

I agree totally. If the writers listened to us though they would've brought Nina back for more than one episode.

I never cared for Victor. How can one man be in love with so many women, I said it in the past he will find some one he is so in love with.what was Adam mom's name he was madly in love with her is he the only man on the show that has the body part swinging between his leg. And where is Abbey, while her mom is whoring are in Paris?

This was a good week for a change, but dumb again. Another ghost. Maybe John and Catherine will meet in Heaven and get married and come back to straighten out their kids. The best part of the show was seeing Brock, Nina, Gina, Tracy, John's first wife, Danny Romalotti, and any other oldies I forgot. Wonderful. I would like to see Brittany and Bobbie again.
Why is Victor so hateful toward Nikki? When he heard of the accident, he thought Nikki was in the limo with David and rushed to the scene calling her name. Then he found out it was Sabrina. I don't get it.

I loved seeing Brock again too! He's such a classy character, wish that he would stay around a bit. It was also great seeing all of the other long-time characters. And at least they mentioned why Mac wasn't there, stuck in Darfur, a reasonable explanation. I wish that they'd also explain where Paul, Brad, JT etc.. disappear to when they aren't on for days on end. Surely it wouldn't be hard to have Paul say that he was visiting Little Ricky, or something.

Let Miss C stand back and see WHO the REAL villians are in her family; like JILL.

Candace,
Absolutely tops of the soap world rants!!! You out did it this week. I thoroughly enjoyed your take on everyone on this show. Right on target and so wonderfully stated.

Jill really did a number on poor Nikki, who truly loved Katherine. Nikki was only trying to help Jill, and the selfish, cruel you-know-what treated her like she was dirt and not good enough to have any input in Katherine's funeral. I cannot wait for Jill to get her's. Here's hoping Katherine left her zilch, and left everything to Esther, Cane, Billy, Amber, and Nikki. Now that would be worth watching.

It was wonderful seeing the returning actors today. I wish some of them would stay. My eyes brimmed with tears at the funeral. So many people saw the goodness in Katherine. Too bad Jill did so many cruel things to her. Whatever happens when the will is read will impact her in a way that she will not expect.

Jeanne Cooper is such a talented and wonderful actor. It must have been very difficult for her to have played Katherine and Marge. I dearly love her character and hope she continues on this show for many more years. But, I also realize that we don't live forever and at some point she will decide to leave the show. I will be absolutely devastated when she makes that decision.

It seems like Cane and Chloe are getting closer, and will probably fall in love. I do hope that Billy discovers that he is the father of her baby even if he does not want to be with her. If he tells Cane, I cannot help but wonder what will happen then.

Lily needs to go back to modeling and college. She needs to get over Cane. It is much too late for her and Cane. It is her fault because she pushed Cane into marrying Chloe, yet would not marry him when she was pregnant. It makes no sense.

Neil had better make up his mind since he says he loves Karen, yet he is so jealous of Tyra with the policeman. Dru is not returning. So, if he wants a wife, he had better wake up soon and make a move.

The scenes with Marge's ghost were wonderful. I kept asking myself how the actors had to restrain themeselves and ignore her talking out loud at her funeral. At some points, I had to laugh. That was some powerful acting.

The Paris scenes were absolutely beautiful. I do agree with you-too much walking. Ashley sleeping with Victor - I wonder if he took a bath before doing the nasty thing since he has been in those same clothes for a long time.

Again, Candace, thanks for always doing such a marvelous job for those of us who read your rants every Friday. You are the greatest!!!
Love you,
Carol
Have a wonderful weekend!
