Restless Rant!
Week of September 15

Hey Soaps.com readers! It was a pretty good week in Genoa City! No major complaints, but that can also mean that not much is going on! I'm mostly caught up in the 'River' storyline and the 'Daniel's Show' storyline. The others are feeling old to me - like Restless Style, and Adam's troubles, and Chloe/Cane. It's time to light some dynamite under those plots and blow them up!

Michael/River/Gloria/Jeffrey: The post-Ashram Lowell/River fit into things nicely. I love how they play that hippie music at the beginning of his scenes! He and Gloria are a hoot - as expected - and Jeffrey's jealousy is a great added touch! Michael's struggle with his feelings and his defensive attitude continue to be very realistically depicted - this storyline's a winner all the way around!

Brad: I'm not liking that he's been arrested, but I do love that he's figuring into storyline. I'm happy to see him having legitimate conflict with Jill et al, and I'm equally glad that they've got him sniffing around Sharon again - these two have undeniable chemistry! I'd like to see him get a new, longer-term love interest, but I always find his scenes with gorgeous Sharon very interesting!

Jack/Sharon/Nick/Phyllis/Nikki: Egad! That letter thing was a little awkward, wasn't it? I feel like Sharon doesn't know what she wants right now. Jack was right to feel put out - it was definitely weird. Phyllis and Nick's discussion about it was pretty realistic. Not so realistic - hiring Nikki as interim Editor-in-Chief. What?!

Victor: Something is totally off with The Mustache. Glad he let Katherine in though, wouldn't have wanted the guards to tussle with her! Ha ha!

Adam/Jack: I know, everyone's ticked off with Jack because he sent in the photos of Sabrina to Victor, but I think he's worried about Victor doing the 'hermit thing' and is only trying to provoke him! So, Jack and Adam in cahoots - why do I still feel like they'll come out second-best to Victor?

Lily/Cane/Chloe: So Cane and Chloe decided to stay together. Too bad, Rocco was hilarious! I'm sure this will be a rocky road for everyone. Deserving a mention here is Lily's seeming schizophrenia this week - one minute she's saying Chloe's vile, the next she's apologizing for saying mean things about her - is anyone like this in real life? Just wondering?

Colleen/Daniel: This girl is really acting desperate! She's throwing sex around and he's lapping it up! She needs to realize that sex does not equal real feelings! She's making a bit of a fool of herself this week. Ever heard of playing hard to get, Colleen? Daniel, though, needs a kick in the pants for not being able to make up his mind. Since when do guys his age have all this integrity and righteous indignation? Usually, you know who you want to be with, and that's it, and obviously, he's still in love with Amber.

Billy Abbott: Yay! I'm so excited! The sexiest version of Billy Abbott ever, has arrived! He's cocky, swaggering, annoying, conceited, and really good-looking! Watch out GC ladies - here comes trouble! Great casting!

Overall, the week was somewhat quiet - the hubbub over Sharon's letter really wasn't as exciting as I thought it might be - even Jack has already turned his attention back to work. I'm sure next week we'll start to see some interesting new stuff as Billy makes his way back to GC, Michael deals with River being in jail, and Jack and Adam head to Mexico. Looking forward to it!
