Who within the writing staff had a problem with Raya Meddine??? Was it the same woman that "just didn't get Ashley's character" so Eileen went away? Raya, her character, storyline and potential storylines with Eric and the other cast members had genuine beauty, strength, and excitement, as well as education because of the art/languages she and Eric brought to the show. The show is just floundering/scrambling now; your desperation shows. You keep Chloe, Karen, pair Colleen (pathetic) with Daniel (sketching like Leo on the Titanic - your show is in jeopardy of sinking with few survivors), bringing Dru's sister/Tracy Abbott back - lackluster. Bring Raya back. Are the writers/characters of Genoa City that fragile that they can't handle an actress of Raya's potential? Do some research on characters coming back from the dead and get Raya back!

I agree the story line is floundering. I would like to see more strength in the characters. Nick and Sharon should be together, but Sharon needs to have a stronger mature character instead of the H.S. Cheerleader attitude. Neil and his family have always had a very boring weak storyline. Do not bring back the dead.

With all that has gone on in Genoa City over the years, I would think the base characters should be stronger. Lately, it seems as though the characters are getting weaker and immature. For heavens sake, they portray rich business people. I hope things will improve and set the bar high above all other Soaps. The actors are terrific but use them to their full potential.
