Arriving back at the Newman parking garage, just as Dru and Sharon enter the elevator, Dru's phone rings. With Sharon's back to the parking garage, Dru says, "Hello," and looks past Sharon to see Carmen on the phone! The elevator door slides shut… Dru hits the open button and runs out into the garage ranting that Carmen was there! After Sharon convinces Dru that the person that she saw just 'looked like' Carmen, Dru says, "Okay, okay."
Back down in the parking garage, Dru gets a call from someone with Carmen's voice saying, "You're going to pay for what you've done… Do you hear me!" Dru drops the phone and screams to Sharon, "It was Carmen!"
Jana brings Brad and Victoria their orders, causing them to hypothetically bring Jana into the mix, thinking 'what if' Carmen found Jana with Victoria's portfolio… Jana panicking, killing Carmen to save from her telling Victoria that Jana stole her portfolio…
Kevin and Jana put their spin on Carmen's murder, thinking maybe it was a serial killer who murdered Carmen- a Genoa city resident who no one would suspect… Professor Korbel. Jana says maybe Professor Korbel befriended Carmen, silently stalked her. After having a dinner invitation turned down by Carmen, he freaks, hits her over the head in a passionate rage… Kevin laughs, tells Jana she has a warped mind.
Jack and Mr. Kim talk about Carmen's job offer, about what the police could be thinking… Jack seeing Carmen in the parking garage, asking her why she hadn't left town yet, Carmen refusing to be silenced, Jack grabbing Carmen by the neck and shoving her against the brick wall… Jack tells Mr. Kim that that kind of behavior would be uncharacteristic of him. Jack goes on to remind Mr. Kim that he clearly told Jack that Carmen wouldn't be a problem anymore. Jack gives Mr. Kim a thoery of his own to think about... Mr. Kim hitting Carmen over the head with a hammer, just to be sure she wouldn't blow his cover- even in Hong Kong… Jack also says Paul could've killed Carmen, as he was investigating her.
At Indigo, Neil is still looking contemplative at Carmen's body.
Inside the club, Lily pokes fun at Dru and how she used to play Aaron Neville's records and Dru takes it good naturedly. She explains that when they have kids, their kids will poke fun at them! Devon shares that he had a good time. He could feel the vibrations from the music and the interpreter helped make the night special. A sober Neil comes inside asking everyone to go home. Daniel asks Neil if they could get Buddy Guy to play for them at the club and he agrees to ask, then pressures everyone to leave. The kids promise to take Dru home, as Neil goes back outside to check on Carmen again.
He shakes his head as he looks, puzzled and Dru comes out. She sees the body, jumps and screams, "Oh my God!" She rushes towards Carmen, saying "Let's call an ambulance", but Neil pulls her back. Devon, Daniel and Lily come out back, wondering what's taking Dru so long and before Neil can force them back inside, they see Carmen's body. Daniel makes a move towards Carmen, saying "I can do CPR", but Neil asks that nobody touch the body. "She's dead", he informs them. Everyone gets frenzied and sign to Devon what's going on. They all go inside and speculate as to what could have gone down. Neil forces everyone but Dru to leave and then calls Michael, who is shocked. He asks Neil not to say anything until he gets there.
The night is almost over, with everyone congratulating Neil on his success! He gets a call from Nicholas and Phyllis. He's breaking up, so goes outside for better reception. Nicholas congratulates him and apologizes for not showing up. Just as he's talking, Neil wanders out a little ways, near the garbage dumpster where he sees something. He pauses, and tells Nicholas that he has to go.
He moves in closer and we see a shot of Carmen Mesta's body sprawled out on the concrete beside the dumpster. He looks to the door of the club, back at Carmen then moves in to get an even closer look.
