Nick, Jack, Michael, Victor and Nikki pull together for Phyllis..

While at the Club, David and Nikki discuss Clear Springs. She is still worried about the condos selling, David mentions his ex-wife would be interested, but they haven’t spoken since their divorce. She wonders if it will be that way between her and Victor. David suggests a day to relax with him, Nikki agrees.

Nikki questions David about his ex-wife. He shares he started seeing Carmen soon after they filed for divorce. He relays his marriage wasn’t working, they had disconnected despite the fact they worked for the same company. His marriage was over before he met Carmen.

Later, in Jail, Jana tells Phyllis she’s sorry about the appeal not going through. She also tells Phyllis about Kevin’s website he made for her. Jana has printed copies of news items on her and offers them to her. Phyllis tells her to get rid of them or burn them, whatever. The guard announces David Chow is Jana’s visitor, who admits to Phyllis she called him to come.

David meets with Jana. He admits to her he wanted to marry Carmen. He wonders why she asked to meet him. She mentions it’s the anniversary of Carmen’s death in a few weeks. She wants to contact Carmen’s family and wants to say how sorry she is. He never understood, why Carmen, what did she ever do to her. She explains it started when she stole something from Victoria and Carmen found her with it, she continues that her illness/tumor took complete control over her. A tearful David explains how he felt when he heard the news. Jana begs and asks what she can do for him, for Carmen’s family, she wants to atone for everything she’s done and spend her life helping people.

In Jail, Phyllis asks Jana about meeting David Chow. She admits he told her everything about Carmen. He wanted her to understand how much she affected her friends and her family. She gets it now, but back then didn’t feel anything. Her emotions were all shut down. She admits she even tried to kill the man that she loved. Phyllis interjects that she was sick. She admits it doesn’t change what she did.

Phyllis awaits news of her appeal…

In Jail, Kevin visits Jana and lets her know he is working on a website that will share her condition and the case with everyone so they can sign a petition. He continues with telling her that he will have medical experts review her case, who can testify at her hearing. She explains she isn’t innocent. He lets her know she is, she had a tumor and had no control over what she was doing. She brings up Carmen and her parents in association with what she has done and puts herself in their place. It haunts her. Kevin consoles her by telling her they will win in court.

In Jail, Phyllis and Jana talk about Carmen’s death. Jana confesses to killing Carmen and discusses what an “awful” person she is. Phyllis tells her “Oh no, no, no, you’re, you’re a great gal. You have a real, you know, offbeat personality.” Jana appreciates Phyllis’ support, but worries about her safety on the inside and wonders how she will protect herself or anyone else from it. Phyllis tries to find out if Jana knew what she was doing was bad or evil. Jana assures Phyllis at the time they made “perfect sense” Phyllis continues to try to understand if Jana is aware that things she was doing were bad, that she has self-awareness. Jana hesitates on answering her questions. Jana tells her “You know, the thing that worries me most is I killed Carmen long before I knew I had a brain tumor, I seemed normal, I thought I was normal and I think I’m normal now.” Phyllis, smiling falsely, agrees with her and tells her she will just have to keep the people she cares about close to her. Jana holds Phyllis’ hands “Like you, now that we are becoming better friends.” Phyllis agrees.

Jack Feels Betrayed!!!

In Jail, Jana tells Phyllis that she is “over the moon” about them being bunk mates. Phyllis informs her “Jana, its not like I have buried treasure or anything, you’re not going to gain anything by going after me.” Jana exclaims, “Its Carmen, I get it. Your sense of humor is so great!”

Later, Phyllis speaks to the Warden and requests another cellmate. She tells him that Jana “scares” her. He refuses and also tells her he knows Victor has been placing calls to “people high up in the states government”. He tells her “Lucky for me, I’m already vested in my pension plan and I’m far too cranky too be influenced by billionaires.” Phyllis asks to make a call to her husband and he tells her that her calling card is empty and as soon as she works to gain more minutes, she can call anyone she likes

Kevin visits Jana in Jail and asks how she is doing. She tells him “Its not easy for a killer to make new friends, but seeing you makes everything better though.” She tells him Phyllis is her cellmate but doesn’t think she’s “thrilled” about it. She lets him know she wants to make amends for her actions and she’s also writing a letter to Carmen’s family. Kevin lets her know that this is a really nice gesture and will look great in court. She tells him she’s not doing it improve her case. She lets Kevin know “It was you who got me through everything.” She tells him their love is strong enough to get through anything that gets thrown at them. He nods in agreement.

In Jail, Nick and Daniel visits Phyllis. They all discuss Jana. Phyllis is freaked out and describes Jana as being like a “stepford wife”. Phyllis tells them Jana appears to be sweet, caring and helpful, everything she seemed to be when she “killed Carmen”.

Nick tries to tell the Warden how dangerous Jana is. The Warden tells Nick Jana hasn’t been convicted of a crime and is a model prisoner. Nick repeats that Jana is dangerous. The Warden informs him “This isn’t a five star resort Mr. Newman, it’s a pay your debt to society prison, everyone in here poses a danger.” Nick tells the Warden if he changes Phyllis' cellmate, she will become a model prisoner.

In Jail , Phyllis and Jana talk. Jana discusses a book that’s just arrived and tells Phyllis she’s in it. Phyllis picks it up and reads the title “The Mindset of a Killer”. She talks about what she did to Carmen. She explains “You know, when I close my eyes I can still hear the crunch that her skull made when I hit her with that flashlight.”

Phyllis Has a New Cellmate!!!

Maggie tells Katherine and Cane the Coroner's Autopsy Report on Ji Min raises some questions.

Brad warns Jack that if he tries to isolate him from Sharon she will only end up resenting him. Jack warns “Stay away from my wife!”

Jana tells Phyllis she wishes she was the one that was dead and that Carmen was the killer.
