DEACON SHARPE'S HISTORY
Deacon Sharpe grew up poor with an abusive father. He met Amber Moore in Los Angeles when Rick Forrester brought him to town to sign over his parental rights to the baby they were raising - Deacon was the biological father, and Amber's cousin, Becky, was the mother. The baby was called Little Eric. Deacon was offered $100,000 to give up his rights, but balked at the last minute and took his son.
When Deacon developed feelings for Amber, he convinced her to move in with him and the boy. She did and they ended up in a real relationship when Amber thought Rick Forrester was cheating on her. When she found out that wasn't true, she left Deacon and reunited with Rick.
Over the ensuing years, Deacon often declared his love for Amber, but they never reconciled for any length of time or married. Deacon went on to marry Bridget Forrester, and had an affair with her mother Brooke, with whom he had a daughter, Hope. Deacon later married Macy Alexander, who raised Little Eric with him until she died. Deacon turned back to his darker side after Macy's death, and after having a fling with Jackie Marone, was last seen leaving Los Angeles in a bid to fight his thirst for the bottle again.
Deacon has now turned up in Genoa City, and appears to be setting up Daniel Romalotti, perhaps in an effort to get to Amber again.

Friday, November 13 2009: Friday the 13th.
Jack is at the Club, leaving a message for Emily on her phone when Phyllis comes rushing up to him asking for help. She says it's Daniel. Jack asks what's wrong with him. She says he's engaged - to Amber! Phyllis just can't cope with the idea! Jack listens as she rants about how Daniel may not be off the hook for the murder and she thinks he's just back with Amber because he needs something to hold on to. Jack tells her to breathe, then says he's not getting involved - he respects Daniel, who is a grown man! He warns if she doesn't support Daniel now, she won't be the one he turns to if it all goes wrong.
At Crimson Lights, Jana is horrified to hear Daniel announce that he will be marrying Amber on Friday the 13th! Ryder stands by as Kevin reassures her that everything will be fine. Daniel, Jana, and Kevin leave. Gloria walks in. Ryder tells her that Kevin's gone, but it's a good time for them to talk. Ryder tells Gloria that he's nothing like Tom, even though he raised him. He understands that it will take time for her to trust him. Suddenly, Ryder spots Deacon. He goes over and murmurs that Daniel's marrying Amber - tonight on his rooftop. Just then, Phyllis comes in. Deacon offer congratulations, and tells her what he just heard. Phyllis takes off. Ryder then tells Gloria that he needs to run an errand and asks her to watch the counter. Deacon meanders over to Glo, who says she's surprised he's still hanging around. Deacon says she'd be surprised how much this town still has to offer him.
Wednesday, November 11 2009: Dog and Pony Show!
Amber arrives at the Club, where she runs smack into Deacon. He remarks that he heard she's engaged. She blows him off, and then rushes to sit with Katherine. She tells her she's so happy! She notes Kay seems stressed. Katherine says there's a lot going on at Chancellor. Amber tells Kay that they told Daniel's mother they're getting married - and she didn't run screaming from the room! Katherine smiles, and they discuss how they are like family to one another. Amber notes how far she's come from growing up in Death Valley.
At the Club, Ryder and Deacon argue. Ryder angrily reminds Deacon he was supposed to sell that painting and get him out of the country, asking what he's supposed to do now? Deacon says he's not calling the shots in this dog and pony show - Ryder's mother is! Ryder asks if she said anything about what his alibi is supposed to be. Deacon indicates that she didn't. Ryder tells him if he hears from his mother to make sure she knows he needs an alibi. They discuss Deacon's child - Deacon says he's put him someplace safe - where that witch can't get to him! Deacon then throws Ryder out, telling him to enjoy his freedom while he can! Ryder pounds angrily on the door.
Deacon is in his room - there's a knock on the door. It's Phyllis. She storms past him into the room, saying that if he's planning on causing trouble for her son again - he should forget about it. She brings up Ryder's name, and Deacon explodes, saying that he's not calling the shots - someone is threatening his son! Phyllis isn't so sure the son exists, but tells him if he's withholding evidence that could clear her son, he'd better come forward, or he'll go to prison.
