COLLEEN CARLTON'S HISTORY
Colleen Carlton's parents divorced when she was young, and she was raised in New York City by her mother Traci and stepfather Steve. Although her father Brad visited when he could, he and Colleen didn't become close until her teenage years. Colleen possessed the making of a talented dancer, but went through a rebellious stage of skipping school and experimenting with marijuana. Her mother soon threatened to send Colleen to boarding school, but her grandfather suggested that she move to Genoa City to live with him.
While under the strict Abbott household, Colleen managed to score some pot and continued to get stoned. However, after having a close call while babysitting her sister Abby, stoned, Colleen gave up the drugs for good. Colleen began to concentrate on school and spent the summer with the Glow by Jabot kids where she met and fell for JT Hellstom. Being that JT was known as a party guy with a fast reputation, Colleen's family forbad her to see him. Against her parent's wishes, Colleen and JT continued seeing each other and fell in love. When Colleen's mother found out, she threatened to take her back to New York and have JT arrested! Brad stood up to the plate and asserted his parental rights and promised Traci that he'd watch over Colleen if she let her stay.
Colleen moved in with her father and eventually Brad was convinced that JT had changed and that he really loved his daughter. However, just when Colleen and JT were granted the freedom to be together, JT found himself seduced by Brittany Hodges' mother, Anita, and cheated on Colleen! When she found out, Colleen's heart was broken but she eventually forgave JT.
Colleen found herself in hot water when she started badmouthing her best friend Lily's boyfriend Kevin Fisher. After Lily broke up with Kevin, he blamed Colleen. Kevin went on to lure Colleen into Gina's restaurant, locked her in a cooler, then torched the place! Fortunately, JT found her and saved Colleen in the knick of time. Although Kevin was never charged, Colleen still believes in his guilt to this day!
After a record promoter heard JT singing to Colleen at Crimson Lights, he was offered a record contract and took off to LA. Colleen wanted to support him and surprised him with a visit to his first press conference. Colleen was heartbroken after she heard JT tell reporters that he was single, and didn't buy it when he told her that he was instructed to say that. Colleen left LA and returned to GC. Shortly after, she ended things with JT and moved back to NY. Although JT gave up his music career for her, Colleen went on a book tour with her mom in Europe and later enrolled in NYU.
In 2006, with her family in turmoil over the murder of Tom Fisher, Colleen moved back to Genoa City and was devastated after the death of her grandfather. Although JT was involved with Mackenzie Browning, Colleen won her him back and shortly after moved into the loft with JT.
Colleen and JT's relationship has since been a bumpy ride. Working as a PI for Paul Williams, JT uncovered the fact that Colleen's father Brad was in reality George Kaplan! Colleen soon learned that Brad's mother Rebecca spent time in a concentration camp and as a young boy, he and Rebecca came home to find their family murdered! After Rebecca moved to Genoa City, she told Colleen of all the pieces of stolen art that she had dealt with while in the camps. Colleen shared in her grandmother's interest and went on to take an art class at GCU headed up by Professor Adrian Korbel.
As time went by, Colleen found it unbearable to deal with the secrecy of JT's job. After becoming Adrian's research assistant, Colleen began having feelings and spending more and more time with the professor. Then one night, while stranded at the college during the December 2006 ice storm, Colleen gave into her feelings and she and Adrian made love!
Colleen and Adrian moved in together eventually, and shared a good relationship until he wrote a book about her father's past. When Adrian went to publish the book, Colleen protested, and their relationship was destroyed. Colleen accepted a short-term position in Hong Kong, and came back to discover that Adrian had shared a one-night stand with Amber.
Colleen began dating Amber's ex, Daniel Romalotti, and accepted a position at Jabot as the new Fresh Face model.

Thursday, October 30 2008: Ghosts and Goofballs!
Back at the Hallowe'en party, Chloe, dressed as a prom queen, and Cane, in a leather jacket and wearing vampire teeth, arrive. Colleen is there dressed as a witch. Amber points out that her outfit didn't take much inspiration and Daniel says, "Play nice!" Billy, the party MC, comes down the stairs dressed as a punk vampire complete with blood on his lips, and welcomes the assembled guests. Cane turns to see Lily, the farmer's daughter, come through the door. Kevin comes in still in a regular suit and Daniel hoots, calling him 'Mr. Wall Street'! After Billy tells Daniel and Amber to enjoy themselves - there are no hard feelings. Kevin suggests they all drink a lot - since Billy is throwing the party they'll want to spend as much of his money as possible! Billy then corners Chloe, mocking her prom queen costume. They reaffirm their pact to keep Lily and Cane apart. Colleen approaches Lily, who tells her friend that it's easier if she doesn't speak to Cane. Suddenly, she gets a text - 'FallOutGirl' has a message from 'Sonny'! As they giggle over the message, which says that Sonny is on his way, Billy, who is sitting nearby, smirks. Kevin has donned a t-shirt that reads, 'I'm with Cupid', and stands next to Jana who is telling Daniel and Amber that she can hear the spirits tonight. Nearby, Dr. Devon and Nurse Roxanne make-out! Billy, meanwhile, approaches Lily and tells her that she seems to be dating her phone! They strike up a conversation and she tells him about 'Sonny' - he teases her that it will probably turn out to be a guy with a comb-over!
Back inside, Amber and Colleen have a run-in at the bar. Colleen says that Daniel will come to his senses and dump her at any moment. Amber responds by spilling a drink on her and laughing. Billy comes over and Colleen says she doesn't understand how he even looked at Amber! He tells her he's got bigger fish to fry - and so does she! Kevin is on the phone with Katherine, talking her through some computer stuff. Daniel laughs, saying, he is cheating on Jana with Mrs. C! Chloe watches Billy and thinks back to a time when they were together and she was happy. She gets up and takes a walk. Beside her, Lily fantasizes about Cane striding across the room toward her, telling her that he is the mysterious 'Sonny Crawford', and the two of them sharing a kiss. She snaps out of it, and suddenly Cane passes by and says hello. Nearby, Billy watches with a bit of a glare! Lily excuses herself in a fluster and Billy tells her not to leave so soon, but she thanks him and continues out the door.
Thursday, October 23 2008: They Treat You Like Dog Meat!
At the coffeehouse, Colleen takes a call from Lily and tells her that she will meet her at Indigo. Billy, who is eavesdropping, begs to accompany her. She is surprised, but agrees. Nearby, Esther sits at a table, and tries to touch Chloe's baby belly as she passes near. Chloe gives her a dressing down about touching her without permission. Esther is hurt, but goes ahead and shows Chloe an outfit she bought for the baby. Chloe tells her she only does designer labels. Cane arrives and greets Billy before he sees Chloe. She tells him that she wants to go to Indigo and eat - the baby is hungry now! He questions her choice of venue, and Esther points out that there is a good Chinese food place around the corner from them. Chloe insists on Indigo - she has a craving! Esther tells Cane that she was the same way when she carried her daughter - she advises him to give in. He does, but says that as soon as they eat they will be going straight home!
Inside Indigo, Neil jokes around with Tyra. Lily arrives and greets them. They are glad she's back from her trip and fill her in that Tyra and Ana will be staying. Lily describes her visit with Aunt Olivia and how she indulged in retail therapy. Karen comes in with Ana and they all give hugs. Karen takes Lily aside to talk about the trip, and Tyra points out that Karen is very good with Ana. She asks Neil, "Are you going to start a little family of your own?" Neil doesn't really respond and later, Tyra asks Karen the same thing. Colleen arrives to meet with Lily and they compare notes on being suddenly single! Billy appears and smilingly says that he is also single. Just then, Chloe and Cane show up. Neil is angry, but Lily says she's fine. Ana goes up to Cane and is puzzled that Lily didn't tell him they were back in town. Lily tries to ignore Cane's presence and chats with Colleen and Billy about the online dating scene. Billy wonders if the site is crashing with all of the men signing up to talk to her. As Neil watches Cane and Chloe, Olivia walks in! She immediately recognizes Karen. Karen explains that Olivia was her doctor back in New York. Olivia says, "So you're Neil's Karen?!" Karen nods. Neil sits down with Olivia and as they catch up, she is shocked when he tells her that Lily's ex, Cane, is sitting right over in the corner! She tells Neil that Lily isn't over him, even though she's trying to act like it. Lily, meanwhile, approaches Cane, who is apologetic about being there. Chloe catches a moment with Billy, assuring him that she is so over him. He decides that she should tell him everything there is to know about Cane and Lily. "That way, we both get what we want!"
