Inside the coffee house, Gloria and Jeffrey hover around Kevin. Gloria tells her son that as soon as Nick Newman hands over those big checks, the aprons coming off for good! Michael and the others go inside and Gloria and Jeff receive their checks. Nick leaves for work, and Gloria and Jeff take Michael aside and say that the amount of the checks is nothing compared to what they lost! Michael hisses at them that they were lucky to get anything!
Jill comes into the coffee house and gets her check from Michael. She says the money will come in handy, and Gloria and Jeffrey start fishing for information about what she plans to do with her share. Jill takes off, and Gloria and Jeff continue to appeal to Michael about the low amount of money offered to them. Michael asks why they couldn't just once be happy with what they've got? Jeff says it's the principle. Michael tells them to get a good financial adviser and stay out of trouble. Kevin and Ryder appear at the table, and when Kevin learns that Glo is quitting, he tells Ryder he'll have more responsibility around there! Ryder grabs the coffee pot and heads out to the patio, where Phyllis and Lauren were just discussing if he could be behind the rat in the giftbox. Ryder asks how the wedding was, and the women exchange looks! Michael joins Phyllis and Lauren on the patio as Ryder goes about his business and Gloria heads out the door. Phyllis and Lauren ask Michael to find out where Ryder was at the time of the wedding. Phyllis leaves, and Lauren and Michael quiz Kevin on Ryder's whereabouts, causing Kevin to become angry.
Gloria and Jeffrey meet back up at Crimson Lights with a ton of shopping. They tell Kevin that they think Jill knows something that is going on at Chancellor - since Kay gave him his job back there, he could find out! Kevin says he won't do it. Kevin spots Michael and Lauren grilling Ryder on the patio and goes over to their table. Ryder tells them he knows where the wedding was held, but won't tell them who he was with the night before. Michael leaps up and grabs Ryder by the lapels, hollering at him to confess! Michael is pulled off and calms down. He tells Lauren that he may or may not have done it - but either way he's a bad seed!
At Crimson Lights, Jana is horrified to hear Daniel announce that he will be marrying Amber on Friday the 13th! Ryder stands by as Kevin reassures her that everything will be fine. Daniel, Jana, and Kevin leave. Gloria walks in. Ryder tells her that Kevin's gone, but it's a good time for them to talk. Ryder tells Gloria that he's nothing like Tom, even though he raised him. He understands that it will take time for her to trust him. Suddenly, Ryder spots Deacon. He goes over and murmurs that Daniel's marrying Amber - tonight on his rooftop. Just then, Phyllis comes in. Deacon offer congratulations, and tells her what he just heard. Phyllis takes off. Ryder then tells Gloria that he needs to run an errand and asks her to watch the counter. Deacon meanders over to Glo, who says she's surprised he's still hanging around. Deacon says she'd be surprised how much this town still has to offer him.
Jeffrey sits on the patio at the coffee house, chewing at Gloria about having to live in the penthouse - now they're facing eviction because it's beyond their means! Jeff suggests a plot involving stealing money, and Gloria warns that he'll wind up in jail, saying she has faith in Michael.
In Crimson Lights, Chance tells Phillip that he didn't recognize himself earlier. He knows that Phillip is okay with the venting, but he feels he should have found another way. Just then, Chance gets a call from Murphy calling off their fishing trip because Lily's in the hospital. Chance looks up to see a man demanding money from Gloria at the counter! He intervenes, but is stabbed and falls to the ground!
Back in Lily's room, Cane takes Emily's contact number, then she leaves. Lily reassures Cane that she's going to beat the cancer, saying she wants to make plans for their life together. She suggests that they go ahead and have their baby. Cane says they have to take their time in planning. Mackenzie comes in, and Lily tells her what they were talking about. The doctor briefly checks her, and Neil, Kay, Jill, and Murphy come in. Cane hugs Neil in relief. Neil smiles. Jill asks Murphy and Kay to let everyone know Lily is out of danger. Murphy steps out to call Chance, but gets Gloria on the line - she says, "The man you called has been stabbed!" Lily keeps talking to Cane and Mackenzie about the idea of having a baby - they'd need a surrogate. Mac blurts, "I'll be your surrogate!"
Gloria has recovered from her scare at the coffee house, and mutters to Jeff about the robbery teaching them a lesson. Michael calls her and says it has been decided that the people who lost their money in the Caymans will be reimbursed. Glo and Jeff scream and embrace!
At Crimson Lights, Gloria calls Michael, who isn't taking her calls. She tells Jeff that he's avoiding her. She then says she believes that John Abbott is responsible for putting them on track to get their money back. Jeff rolls his eyes as she points out that it was Billy Abbott who set it all in motion with his article. Michael soon arrives and looks over their bills. He says he'll subsidize them for a month, but Gloria says they don't want a handout - they want what is theirs! Michael says he will do what he can, but he won't sabotage Victor while he's at it. Michael leaves, and Jeff says he blew them off. Glo, however, thinks it may all turn out even better than they imagine - Michael won't let her down!
Michael and Lauren locate Jeff and Gloria on the patio at Crimson Lights. Michael tells them that they will get their money for the Caymans bank debacle. They are thrilled. Lauren prompts them - don't they have someone to thank? Gloria says yes, and makes a toast - to Billy Abbott!
