Beside the lake, Jack tells Victor to walk away. Victor ignores him, telling Patty that he can get her whatever she needs - after all, together they created this person she is now - they can make an even better one! Jack's jaw drops! Patty says she needs more than money, and asks angrily if this is what Victor planned all along - for it all to end with her, Jack, and another gun?! She says maybe it's his time to bleed instead and trains the gun on him as well! Looking from Jack to Victor she says, "Eeny Meeny Miney Mo. Who will be the one to go?"
Jack, standing at Victor's door, says he's there to talk about Patty. Victor tells him not to alert Ashley. Jack agrees and comes inside. He notices Victor is preparing a press release and calls him cold. Jack tells Victor that the authorities have found Colleen's car, but not the women. He accuses Victor of bringing an unstable woman to town to finish him off and do his dirty work, saying, "Who knew Victor Newman was gutless?" Jack says Victor knew that Patty would blow up eventually and wonders if he cares that his granddaughter, wife, and goddaughter became collateral damage while Jack's still standing?! Victor says Jack never cared about Patty, and says, "How dare you come into my home and make accusations." Jack says there is proof out there and it will come to light. They rehash their rivalry, and what they've done to one another over the years. Victor suggests they take all their sins and crimes and put them together on the table and compare them - then see who's still standing! Jack nearly cries as he describes what Victor's actions have done to his sisters. Victor defends his care of Ashley, and Jack asks how that's worked out? Is she sane? Jack says it's hard to figure out who Victor hurts more, those he hates or those he loves! Victor calls him a hypocrite, and says if Ashley and Abby were not upstairs right now, he'd put him through the wall! Jack grabs a picture of Colleen and says he just wants his niece back! In the photo, Colleen is standing in front of the Camp Cowabunga sign - Jack says he knows where she is!
In the lake, Colleen hears the same poem that Traci is reading, and Lily is suddenly there with her. Next, she and Lily are floating in the air. Lily is talking about not being ready to die, and about fighting. Under the water, Colleen's eyes open. The poem continues, and Kevin appears. He talks about how she forgave him - she turned a monster into a friend - there is nothing she can't do! As the poem continues, JT appears next. He talks about how loving her was worth it - even the painful moments - he asks her to come back to him. Still underwater, Colleen hallucinates Billy next. He reminds her of their connection, even when they're apart! Abby shows up next, asking if Colleen's ready to go now - she needs her to come back - as long as they're around, their dad is still around. Still under the water, Colleen hears Jack and Victor fighting, then sees Ashley asking them not to do this in front of Colleen. John Abbott appears and says that he can take it from here - it's all about letting go and moving on, saying Colleen knows what she needs to do now!
Adam enters Ashley's bedroom and tries to talk her out of telling Victor what happened on the night of the rain storm. She says she has to - no one has heard from Nikki in weeks! Adam doesn't tell her about the letter from Nikki that came in the mail. As he tells her she will regret confiding in Victor - he walks in and asks what is going on. Ashley asks Adam to leave. She tells Victor that this is about Nikki - something horrible happened! Ashley explains about the night she drove and thought she saw Sabrina and hit her with the car! Victor listens as she elaborates, explaining that she believed it to be a bad dream, but now realizes that it was actually Nikki who she hit! Victor's concern grows as Ashley insists that she must go to the police - he says if she had hit Nikki someone would have found her by now! He hugs her, but she pulls back when he mentions getting her the 'right help'! She is devastated that he doesn't believe her, and thinks she is insane! Victor steps out of the room, and tells Adam that she needs professional help - he wants Adam to call Dr. Taylor to come immediately.
Downstairs at the Ranch, Victoria and Nick come in looking for Victor at the same time. She fills her brother in on Colleen being taken hostage by Mary Jane Benson. They realize that they are both there to confront Victor about being responsible for bringing the woman to town! They look around for Victor, and muse about the implications of Victor having brought such a crazy woman to Genoa City! Nick wonders if Victor brought her there to shoot Jack again! Victor finally appears and tells his kids that whatever they are there for will have to wait. They say it's about the woman who put Summer in a coma. Victor keeps saying he doesn't want to discuss it, but Nick and Victoria press him, asking if he brought her to town to get back at Jack Abbott. Victor tells them that it's depressing that they would believe he would invite bad things to happen to his own family. Nick tells him to quit dancing around the question and answer it! Nick then realizes that Victor won't be able to admit it, but notes that he put out the reward after Summer was hurt - that's when he obviously realized what a monster he'd unleashed. Victor tells Nick and Victoria that he's not a murderer - either directly or indirectly. He says he's made some mistakes - he wishes he could undo them - but he can't. Victoria says, "You were really behind everything that Patty did? That was you?" Nick says to her, "Let's get out of here."
Victor stands alone in his living room as Adam hides, having listened to his conversation with Nick and Victoria, in the stairwell. The doorbell rings and Victor opens the door to Jack Abbott.
Jeffrey and Gloria commiserate at the penthouse when the power gets shut off. Gloria says that things couldn't get any worse. Suddenly, Victor is in the doorway saying, "It just has." He accuses them of double-crossing him, saying that Mary Jane Benson wasn't in the cabin and Jack showed up! Jeff says they still want their money - or they'll tell Ashley about his reign of terror! Victor tells Gloria to tell her hubby what will happen if they go anywhere near his wife! Gloria assures him they won't go to Ashley and says she hopes they can do business in the future. Victor leaves and as Jeff is asking Gloria why she groveled, Jill whisks in saying she wants her hundred grand! They fill her in on Mary Jane being Patty Williams - Jill is stunned.
Abby meets Victor at the Club and tells him that Uncle Jack's girlfriend kidnapped her sister Colleen! Abby asks why she would want to hurt Colleen? Victor says Mary Jane Benson is a very troubled woman. He looks very upset as Abby sobs that he has to help! Victor promises her he will do what he can.
In the Abbott cabin, Jack taunts Victor about Ashley finding out that he had Mary Jane on the payroll. Victor tells him to leave his sister out of it - she's made it clear from the beginning that she wants to be with him!
Victor arrives home and Adam informs him that a crazed Billy showed up earlier and carried Ashley out of the ranch! Victor says Adam may not have been able to stop him - but he can! After Victor leaves, Adam calls Dr. Taylor and warns him about what is going on. Adam's lawyer then comes to the door - he's there to remove the ankle monitor - he's free to go anywhere he chooses! Adam continues to try to reach Taylor unsuccessfully.
