Nikki is back in with Nick and Victoria in Victor's room. They discuss children, and Nick tells them that Sharon's baby is his after all. Nikki embraces him, and Victor says another Newman makes him happy.
Nikki rejoins Victor in his hospital room. He mentions the night that she left, and how there were things he wanted to say to her. Nikki takes his hand, and he points out that his hands are cold. Nikki looks worried.
I Will Not Be Doped Up!
Michael Baldwin joins the Newmans at Victor's bedside in the hospital. Victor squints at him and asks if he's suing someone? Michael jokes that he's got a two for one deal on right now if he'd like to! Michael gives Lauren's love to Victor, then Nick asks Michael to try to get Victor moved up on the donor list.
Nikki and Victor are alone in his room. She urges him to hang in there and stay strong. He asks where Ashley is, and Nikki says she thinks Jack took her home. Victor is pleased - she and the baby shouldn't be there.
Michael, Nick, and Victoria have rejoined Victor and Nikki in the hospital room. They discuss his chances of survival. Michael says he can't get him up higher on the donor list, and he won't survive a trip elsewhere. The only option would be a designated donor - who specifically donates their heart to Victor. They head out into the waiting area and discuss whether they should hold a press conference. Nick worries that even if they find a willing donor, the heart may not be a match! Abby joins them and tells them about her sister, Colleen, and how the doctor was talking to Traci about donating her organs. Nikki hugs Abby and looks thoughtful.
Nick and Victoria are in with Victor. Abby comes in, but Victor sends her out to get him a milkshake. He tells Nick and Victoria that now is the chance for them to say what's in their hearts - he doesn't want anything unsaid.
The Clock is Ticking.
Nikki is in with Victor. She tells him that they will find him a heart - even if she has to go to the wizard herself! Victor gives a small smile, then says that some believe he doesn't have a heart! Nick goes into the room with Victor's doctor, who says that Victor has been put on a list for a heart. Nick wants him to do more! Victoria joins them, and they all assure Victor that everything will be fine.
Nick, Victoria, and Nikki are in Victor's room. They agree they can't wait until he's back to his controlling self. The doctor comes in and explains how the donor list works, and that there are over 100,000 people waiting for a transplant - there are no guarantees!
She's Already Gone...
Nick and Victoria watch as Victor is wheeled out of his hospital room and down the hall. Ashley says it's all her fault. Nick asks why? Ash says she told him she was leaving him. Victoria hisses, "How could you do that?" Ashley takes off with Adam in tow. Vikki asks Nick if their mother said whether or not she's on her way. Nick can't reach Nikki or Paul, and sighs, saying she'd better hurry.
Victor is out of surgery and Nikki goes in to see him. Victor awakens and Victoria and JT come in. The doctor checks in and says that Victor will be alright for now - but the pump is not a permanent solution - he needs a heart transplant - within the next few days!
