Nikki is in with Victor. The doctor tells her that he is okay, and if he's careful with his medication, the seizure episode should be a one-time thing. Victor wants to see his baby. Nikki brings Faith to see him, and notes how much she looks like Nick when he was born. Ashley suddenly comes in and rails at them for taking the baby. Nikki excuses herself, reminding Ashley that Victor is recovering. Ashley tells Victor she is extremely upset! Victor explains that he just wanted to see their baby. Ashley apologizes for over-reacting. She then asks him to give Adam a second chance - he's never treated him the same as his other children. Victor asks if Abby was alright at Colleen's service - Ashley says of course she wasn't! Ashley then tells him that he is not the man she has loved her whole adult life. He says he loves her, but she says he has always loved himself more. Ashley tells him she is filing for divorce! He agrees not to fight it, as long as she allows him to see their child. Ashley says Abby and Faith will always be a bond that they'll share. Victor cries as she leaves.
Paul and Nikki arrive back at the hospital. Victor asks to speak to him, and thanks him for finding Nikki and bringing her back to them. Paul says he did it for Nikki - not him - then tells him about Patty having completely lost her mind. Paul says the silver-lining for Victor is that she's forgotten she ever knew him. He walks out. Nikki sighs, and Victor tells her that he and Ashley are getting a divorce.
No Dark Colors!
In the hospital, Nikki listens as Victor's doctor ups the dosage on his meds. When the doctor leaves, Victor and Nikki discuss the Abbott family saying goodbye to Colleen today. Nikki remarks that the service should be starting any minute. Victor wonders how they'll react to what he did. Nikki says hopefully they'll see that it's from the heart. As Nikki stands up to get Victor the newspaper, he suddenly has a seizure! Nikki yells for a doctor!
In the hospital, a medical team has arrived and Victor is still having seizures. Nikki asks if he's rejecting the heart?! Nikki is whisked out of the way, and cries with a hand over her mouth.
Adam's Ashes.
Nikki is in with Victor as his doctor checks him over. The doctor tells him that his wife is very devoted and hasn't left his side all night. The doctor leaves and Nikki says she's been mistaken for his wife a lot lately. Victor says there's something he needs to tell her. He says if it hadn't been for her, he and Ashley wouldn't have brought a new life into the world.
Adam is on his cell phone in the hospital, arranging for the ashes to be delivered to Sharon's room at the Club. He looks into Victor's room and sees Sharon, who is telling Victor about the death of the baby. Victor says she will always be a part of his family. They talk about life, and Victor tells Sharon that there are different kinds of love - what Nick feels for her will never go away - she's the love of his life. As Sharon walks out past Adam he pretends to be on his phone. It rings - the package has arrived at the Club.
Nick sits with Victor and tells him, when he asks, that Summer is doing well. Nick tells his father that he meant the things he said to him before he got shot - about Patty and what he did, but in the last few days, he's almost lost him, and the baby died. Nick tears up. Victor asks if he's thinking about Cassie. Nick says he needs Victor right now - to help him face saying goodbye to another daughter. Victor says Cassie is with the baby giving her a grand tour. Nikki comes in and comforts Nick, who says he never even got to see or hold his baby. Outside the window, Ashley carries the baby and watches them.
Way To Go, Kid!
The doctor meets with the Newmans in the waiting area - he tells them that the transplant was successful. Victor is wheeled past them. Victoria tells him that he's her hero! Jack watches from nearby, looks up, and says, "Way to go, kid. Way to go."
Heart of Stone.
Jack is in with Victor and tries to describe to him what Traci is going through right now. He says she's had to make decisions that no one should ever have to make. Jack tells Victor that Colleen's heart will be his, to go on living with! Victor thanks him, and says he's sorry for the pain. Jack tells him it's a good heart he's getting from Colleen. Jack tells Victor they should let him die, but for Colleen's sake, he hopes he lives. Jack walks out into the hallway and tells Nikki it's a 'yes'.
Nikki goes in to see Victor, who warns her that they can't assume the heart transplant will work. Nikki says she knows it will. He wants Nikki to tell the kids he loves them, but she says he'll have years and years to do that himself.
