At the Ranch, Victor and Nikki continue to prepare to leave town. She reassures Victor that the kids will look after Newman, and that he needs to focus on his rehabilitation. Victor smolders about getting back at Jack Abbott. Victoria arrives and tells her father that she feels she should resign from Newman under the circumstances. Nikki says she may need to focus on her family right now. Victor embraces her and says she should do what she has to do.
Nick and Adam are at the Ranch with Victor. He informs them that he is leaving town, and that Victoria is leaving too. He tells Nick that he will be in charge of Newman Enterprises, then tells Adam that he has told Nick to give him increased responsibilities. He asks Adam to behave and not to disappoint him. Nick assures Victor that everything will be fine.
In the Ranch stables, Nikki and Victor prepare to leave. They share an embrace. He tells Nikki how happy he is that she is accompanying him - it seems they can't live without each other. Nikki notes that they don't want to, and they kiss. Nikki says she got him a gift to bring to Belgium with them - she produces a puppy just like Zapato! Victor is tickled. They express their love as the puppy licks their faces!
You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet!
At the Ranch, Abby overhears Victor and Ashley discussing the fact that he's leaving Genoa City. Victor sits down with Abby and assures her he'll be back for the important events in her life. Victor asks her to be good to her mother, and to be a teacher to Faith. They embrace and Abby leaves for the coffee house. Ashley looks at Victor, who has tears in his eyes. They discuss what happened with Patty and Colleen - she says she blamed him as much as Jack and Billy did, but admits she does have some blame in their marriage ending. She remarks that she's let her fantasy go - it's sad, but also liberating. Victor would like the divorce to be as painless as possible. He informs her he'll be giving Adam a chance to redeem himself. Ashley is pleased - nearly dying has changed him.
When the Ranch doorbell rings, Ashley lets Jack into the house - he says they need to talk. Victor stands up and asks what he's doing there. Jack says he's visiting his sister at her home. Victor goes to check on Faith. Ashley tells Jack that just because she's being nice to Victor doesn't mean she's going back with him - he's with Nikki. Victor reappears with Abby's cellphone. Ashley leaves to take it to her. Jack remarks that he heard Victor's leaving town - wasn't he going to say goodbye? Victor says he's waited to say goodbye to him for years! They get into a bickering match over which of them has one-upped the other more times over the years.
Nikki arrives at the Ranch looking for Victor just as Jack admits how great it was to set him up. Nikki tells Victor they need to go, but Victor wants to finish - Jack's just confessing his sins! Jack talks about how much he enjoyed making up the diary. When he learns that Nikki is leaving with Victor, he sneers that she let Paul go - a man who would have put her first. Victor tells Jack that he knows he enjoyed betraying him - and he'll get even with him! Jack hisses at Victor that this may be over for him, but not for Patty! Nikki begs them to stop this. Victor tells Jack if he thinks what he did with Patty was all he has coming - he ain't seen nothin' yet!
Family Above All.
Nikki and Victor lie in bed together and look at the ring he gave her. He tells her that the ring is a promise to take things one step at a time - together. They get out of bed and she fiddles with his band-aid as she talks about telling the kids she's going away with him. Victor is confident Victoria will handle the SCC business fine. Victor beams at Nikki as he tells her to go ahead and tell the kids at Newman - he'll join her there.
Victor pays a visit to Colleen's gravesite. He kneels down, places a red rose on the top, and prays while looking sorrowful. He then leaves.
In his room at the Club, Victor sits in front of a video camera and records a message for Faith. He says he's leaving, and notes that she will hear things about him - he'd like to tell his side of the story! He describes his familial history, why he gave himself the name Victor Newman, and recalls how he built up his business. He thinks back on some memories, and says he's been known to be ruthless. Victor adds that he has done some things he's not proud of, but he has no regrets! He then talks about the Abbotts, saying he respected John, and describes his feud with Jack. He says in spite of how misguided Jack is, they are actually similar in their desire to protect their families and those they love. He mentions true friends, and thinks back to memories of Neil, Katherine, Nikki, Hope, Colonol Douglas Austin, and his grown children. He tells the camera that no one can betray you more deeply than family, but no one can give you more happiness either, saying, "Family above all." He tells Faith that he's loved wonderful women, including her mother. He urges her to learn from her experiences, and tells her never to quit because she fails, and never to close her heart because she hurts. Victor tells Faith to keep him in her heart - he loves her.
Nikki and Katherine arrive at Newman and Nikki tells Victoria and Nick that she and Victor have news - they would like to tell them together. She calls Victor and says that Nick, Victoria, and Adam have all arrived - is he coming? Victor tells her he's looking forward to it. Soon, the door opens and Victor has arrived. Victoria asks what the big announcement is?!
