BILLY ABBOTT'S HISTORY
Although most of his younger years were spent attending school in New York, Billy Abbott moved back to Genoa City in 1999 and enrolled at Walnut Grove Academy. During his sophomore year, Billy dated party girl, Brittany Hodges, and began drinking heavily. He almost lost his life after passing out drunk in the snow, but was found by his best friend Raul and rushed to the hospital where Billy was diagnosed with alcohol poisoning. When Brittany shied from Billy's side for fear of getting in trouble, Mackenzie Browning sat by his bedside. Billy promised to never drink again.
While he continued dating Brittany, it wasn't until Billy and Mac were crowned King and Queen of their junior prom that they could no longer fight their feelings. Later that night, Billy went to the Chancellor Estate and the two professed their love. Being that Mac was the granddaughter of Billy's mother Jill's archenemy, Katherine Chancellor, Billy and Mac were forced to hide their relationship for fear that Jill would stir up problems from Mac's past.
Billy and Mac went on to take part in the Glow By Jabot Kids Summer Production, and found their relationship tested after J.T. Hellstrom set his sights on Billy's girl. Although J.T. and Brittany worked together to break them up, Mac and Billy made it through the summer. During their senior year, Billy wanted more from Mac than she was willing to give and they soon broke up. However, Billy later found out that Mac didn't want to have sex because her stepfather had molested her as a kid. When her stepfather came back to town and tried to rape Mac again, Billy hit the man over the head and saved Mac.
After high school, Billy set off on a mission to Louisiana to help Mac's father, Brock, build homes for the needy, and Mac went off to college. After the two arrived home on Christmas break, they decided never to be apart again and moved into a loft apartment with Raul and Brittany. Billy and Mac later became engaged and made plans to spend their lives together. However, devastation came, right after their wedding, when they found out that Billy's mother Jill was the long lost daughter of Mac's grandmother Katherine Chancellor, making Mac and Billy cousins! Not able to deal with the reality of it all, the marriage was annulled, and the two parted ways and left Genoa City to heal their wounds.
In 2006, Billy returned home after the death of his father and with a bit of persuasion decided to stay and help with the family businesses - Jabot and Chancellor Enterprises. Billy went on to take some classes at GCU while working in the Jabot mail room. His grandmother Katherine later uncovered that Billy had a gambling habit and owed a huge debt in Miami. It wasn't until Kay found out that Billy had pawned one of her antiques that she realized how bad his problem was. Billy's brother Jack paid off his debt on one condition - Billy was shipped off to Hong Kong to work for the House of Kim.
Billy beat his gambling problem and did some traveling. He met up with Amber Moore while in California and followed her to New York. At Daniel Romalotti's art show, he caught up with half-niece, Colleen Carlton, who convinced him to come back to Genoa City.
Billy met with his brother, Jack, who asked him to be his eyes and ears at Jabot. Billy told his mother, Jill, that he wanted to come back to Jabot, and met his half-brother Cane for the first time. He realized that his brother's wife, Chloe, is carrying his child - they knew each other from New York.
Billy was living with Amber, but after she moved out, he stayed in Phyllis's penthouse. Billy became involved in a romance with Cane's ex, Lily Winters. When the truth came out about the paternity of Chloe's baby, Lily dumped him. With help from the machinations of Victor Newman, Billy was appointed CEO of Jabot by Jill. After deciding to marry Chloe and fight for custody of baby Cordelia against his scorned brother, Cane, Billy was fired again by Jill. Just as he finished marrying Chloe at the Chancellor Mansion, his former love, Mackenzie Browning walked through the door - and the news had just come out that they were never related by blood!

Monday, November 09 2009: Lucky To Be Locked Up!
Billy is meeting with a man in the bar. Chloe is there, distractedly checking for a text from Chance on her cellphone. She leaves, and the man asks if they're married - they have the same last name. Billy rubs his forehead and says they just divorced - she's now free to chase whomever she likes! Chloe stops outside the door and calls Chance. Jill answers his cellphone and tells Chloe that he's been hurt!
Still in Nick's office, Jack asks if Nick knows anything about Katherine's activities. Just then, Billy appears with a folder and drops it on Nick's desk! Jack informs Nick that he's not on Billy's side. Billy tells Nick that there was no stipulation as to the content of the magazine - there's no basis for kicking him out of the building. Nick heads off to legal, and Billy questions Jack's disloyalty in front of Newman. Jack tells him he's his ex-brother! Jack lays into Billy about how all he's ever wanted was to have all the Abbotts running their dad's business and he ruined that dream! Nick comes back in and tells Billy that legal has decided to honor the injunction - but if they find a loophole, he's back on the street!
Mac and Murphy talk in the hospital waiting area. They talk about death and babies. Mac feels babies are the one perfect thing in the world. Billy arrives and puts his foot in his mouth immediately by asking Jill where Cane is - does he get a free pass? Jill, white-faced, says that Cane is in with Lily. Billy holds his head and says he forgot. Mac pulls him away and says that they can fix the misunderstanding later. She tells him that Cane and Lily want to have a baby, and that she is looking for a purpose in life. She is about to tell him about her offer to Cane and Lily, when Kay calls him over. Katherine tells Billy she doesn't like some of the stuff he's pulled at the magazine, but she loves him no matter what happens. Nina and Phillip fret together about whether Chance will come out of surgery okay. She tries to explain how scared she felt the whole time he was in Iraq - this is the same. Phillip says he's scared too, but Nina tells him he doesn't get to feel like her, because he ran away and left them! Phillip assures her that he's not leaving this time, and comforts her in an embrace.
Billy wanders back over to Mac in the waiting area of the hospital. She blurts out that she offered to carry a baby for Lily and Cane. Billy shakes his head in disbelief, then informs her that won't be happening! Just then, Chance is wheeled past them on his way out of surgery. The doctor declares that Chance will be okay, and Nina remarks on how pale he is. Everyone files in to Chance's room behind his stretcher - except Chloe. She stands in a doorway alone and breathes a deep sigh, whispering, "Thank you."
Friday, November 06 2009: The Man You Called Has Been Stabbed!
At the bar, Mac tells Billy that Lily's in the hospital and she's in bad shape. He has a lot to do, so Mac says she'll go over and call if he needs to come. As she leaves, Billy indicates all of his notes written on bar napkins, saying to himself, "This is no way to run a business!"
Billy shows up at Newman Enterprises and runs into Ashley on her way out. She is stunned that he is showing his face there. He defends his position, saying he only presented facts in his article. She warns she'll never help him again - she doesn't know what's happened to him! Billy goes in to see Nick, and Victoria comes in - she's there to tie up some loose ends. She tells Billy that his piece about her pushed her in the right direction at least - but she doubts it will turn out as good for him! Nick and Vikki joke about Billy only being good enough to write gossip. Nick shows Billy out after telling him that Newman is pulling all their ads. Once alone, Victoria reiterates to her brother that she's not coming back - working for her father and being married to JT don't go together. They discuss what Nick should do about the current situation, and Nick proposes a solution. Vikki says she thinks daddy's portrait just frowned! Nick smiles and says Newman needs her. Victoria says it's not true, and maybe it's time for new leadership anyway. Nick smirks, saying she just called dad a dinosaur. They hug.
Chloe arrives at the bar, where Billy ribs her that he's not allowed to visit her in the middle of the night, but here she is. Chloe curtly says this isn't a booty call. She hands him divorce papers. He asks if they're signed. Chloe says, "Not yet." She signs and says they can move forward now - he's got Mac... Billy says maybe she'll find someone good for her too. Chloe says maybe she already has!
