JANA HAWKES FISHER'S HISTORY
The feisty, mysterious Jana Hawkes arrived in Genoa City in October 2006. A traveler of sorts, she lived in her motor home by the lake and spent most of her free time working for Kevin Fisher at the Crimson Lights Coffeehouse. Proving to be a loyal and efficient employee, Jana was soon promoted to manager.
Although warned by many of Kevin's dirty past, Jana became fond of her boss and eventually the two struck up a relationship. It would only be a matter of time before they bit the bullet and moved in together sharing an apartment in one of Genoa City's biggest high-rise complexes.
Jana often cannot contain her excitement when something interests her. Having a knowledgeable background in the art world, Jana surprised Katherine Chancellor on her first visit to the estate when she was able to name off a few of Katherine's antiques! After finding Victoria Newman Carlton's purse in a dumpster outside of the coffeehouse, during its return, Jana found that she and Victoria had a lot of fascinating art stories to share.
Jana was revealed to have been the killer of Carmen Mesta, and went to prison. Since she had murdered Carmen while under the influence of a brain tumor, however, she got out soon with the help of her fiance, Kevin and his attorney brother, Michael Baldwin.
Jana and Kevin were married in an Ashram in California and are now running the coffeeshop together, where Jana regularly doles out advice to the lovelorn!

Friday, November 21 2008: Bookstore Bungle!
Behind the bar at Crimson Lights, Kevin eyes the safe with Katherine's money in it. Jana comes over and says she is going out. Amber and Daniel come in and share the news that Katherine's will was read and Amber got enough money to pursue her creative designs. Kevin is excited. "Wow! You're rich now!"
Amber comes back to the coffeehouse after following Kevin outside. She tells Daniel she has something to tell him, but before she can continue, Kevin comes in and asks for everyone's attention. He then presents his smiling wife with a new Vespa!
Tuesday, November 18 2008: I've Been Expecting You!
Kevin and Jana arrive at the reception and are greeted by Amber and Daniel. They say they wish they hadn't missed the funeral, but they had to deal with the flood. After they move away, Amber tells Daniel that she thinks Kevin really missed the service because he felt guilty about something! Michael and Lauren are nearby, and he says he is surprised that the Newmans came here instead of going to look for Victor. He tells Lauren he'd better go, and lets her know not to wait up!
Danny tells Gina that her food is terrific and Amber and Daniel agree. Nina strolls over and says she used to live on it! She mentions how shocked she was that Gina's restaurant burned down. Amber asks where Nina lives, and she says she is a screenwriter in L.A. Danny and Amber toot Daniel's horn by sharing with Nina that he's a talented artist. They all discuss Philip being in the army, and Gina hugs Nina. Next to them, Jill stands with Liz, and they thank Jana and Kevin for stopping by. Liz then tells Jill that she's so glad that she told Jill the truth, and that she and Katherine had time together.
