The biggest problem that I have with any of this is the time span. We have long droughts of nothingness and then short feasts of overkill. There is just too much going on right now. I am glad to see LANE on my screen anytime especially now, but there is a lot of stuff to digest in four episodes. I would like to think that the writers would have brought the Chancellors to the hospital for Lily and Cane ALONE even though they have not been there for the past six months--AT ALL!! Seems like someone is trying real hard to turn this sinking boat around and it ain't easy--especially with all the damage that has been done to both Cane and Lily, the Winters family, and the Chancellor clan. I have read threads where posters did not like Cane or Lily but deemed them the only thing worth watching in the past few episodes. So I think that alone is worth something that says "this dream team of writers" (facetiously written)is trying to do right by them right now even if it is to just get ratings up for the sweeps. But like any other LANE fan who has been burned by this writing team and turned off repeatedly by the crap written for them, I am still here b/c I remain hopeful for this beautiful couple. The stabbing/hospitalization of Chance just seems too convenient and coincidental to me and I feel an ulterior motive about to surface. Don't know how long it will take, but it will surface!

Also Chance is a newby who has not yet caught on, so why not put him in an episodes with LANE for visibility at least? About the baby, I don't care one way or another. I have gotten to the point that the writers are going to give it to us whether we like it or not! TPTB do not care what we think!

HEY LANERS!!! ok sorry ive been MIA.. but WOW i certainly had a lot to catch up on, since my last log-in!!! and it was a lot of wonderful catching up to do!!! MsSuperSuds.. i loved every one of your postings within the last few days!!! charme & anny, you too!! you guys have had some wonderful postings, and I hate i havent been able to chime in.
This past week with cane & lily has been AMAZING.. put into 1 work haha.
when cane brokedown.. I was speachless.. it was amazing, and def. a tearjerker.. nontheless.. the love he feels for lily, it almost radiates through the tv screen out onto everyone else.. it is awesome. I love watching those two, and I can never get enough of them!!

Good night Lily and Cane! I see that you have taken two episodes forward and two backwards, but your love for each other is definitely in tact. That is what I love about you. No matter what else changes in your lives, the love for one another remains the same. Not many couples can make that claim--real or imaginary! And that is the only reason I am still here.

How writers could waste a great couple like you, I will never understand. The longevity of the show is at stake, but I do not think that has hit home yet; BUT it will! Hope it is not to late when it does.

I would like to see Lily get stronger physically before a baby is brought into this family. I also want to see Cane get his personality and career back on track before bringing a child into this family. I also want to see the two of you work together as a couple and a family unit longer than two episodes before you bring a third party into this marriage to bear this child. Those are my wishes. Let's see how well they match the reality that the writers & TPTB have planned for you. Sleep well. I look forward to seeing you on screen next week. Luv ya!

Good Morning Lane fans! I am still riding the high of all the Lane goodness last week. Four straight days! It was one great epi after another. This week looks like more of the same wonderful times full of my favorite duo. Bring it on! Long Live Lane

Those are great sentiments from your keyboard to the writers eyes, ears, pens & Keyboards!! Anny, all their events had the potential to be great and entertaining storylines but TPTB had other ideas. They always go to the nth degree to destroy them; there is never any safety net left. If this couple had been promoted, supported and given ample on-screen time like other couples, Y&R would still be a great soap and I would have no misgivings about any storyline that they were given.

I am always the optimist where Cane & Lily are concerned, because I want the best for this great couple. If I thought otherwise, I would not be here now. BUT past history with this present wrecking crew makes me skeptical of anything they do with or for them. Simply stated, I do NOT trust these writers with any storyline for Lily and Cane!! I am always in wait and see mode, so we shall see what actually happens. JMHO!

I love how Cane and Lily are with each other Their deep love for one another is just so magnificent to watch. I've said it before many times, Lane is the "it" couple I just can't get enough of them. It makes me think of a line in a song that says more,more,more. More,more,more Cane and Lily please I just adore them.

And I hope this s/l does not turn out to be Billy vs Cane. Because anyone mess with lily's baby have us lane fans to deal with.This young woman have gone through so much in her young life so I hope the writers do right by her now.

Afternoon lane fans showing my love and support for the most amazing couple in daytime Love each and everyone of your posts ; MsSuperSuds I see where you're coming from too; I don't mind Cane and Lily having a baby, if the writing team was to be trusted I wouldnt mind waiting and doing everything single thing right, but, I've been thinking why not. I have no faith when it comes to the Lane writing, sometimes I feel like Im waiting for the other shoe to drop as a fan. I have issued with mac being the surrogate, it seems she has her own issues to deal with when it comes to having children and that comment she made about having a purpose? then what happens if she does actually have Lane's baby and she gives birth, what then. I don't know, not to mention her boyfriend is going to be a factor in this should they go ahead with this. Like partyvibe said I think Lily and Cane should definetely be wary when they do decide to start their family thr' a surogacy and they should be involved every step of the way (thats the way it should be anyway). But like Cane said they still needed to talk about this and Lily just wants to start talking things out so that they can begin preparing themselves emotionally about their next course of action. I hope they give this s/l a lot more thought than they have past lane s/l and like you guys I guess we'll all have to wait and see.

I loved how Cane and Lily interacted on todays epi. The hand holding, the way they look right at each other and the conversation were all nice to see. I hope they continue to grow together as a couple and individually. Long live the wonderful Ashby family!
