Well it is Saturday and I'm still feeling the affects of my Cane and Lily high from the past week Everything and I mean everything involving Lane has been written and performed so well. Cane and Lily are back together completely and it's just beautiful to see them go through life's good and bad times as a couple. One of my favorite parts of Cane and Lily's vows was the part where they say and whatever comes our way good or bad...........Those words are just so powerful and so true to approaching marriage and life in general. Thank you DG and CKH for a wonderful job and making Cane and Lily my "it" couple

Good afternoon, Lily and Cane! Just thought I would drop in to say that I thought that all your scenes in all your episodes were good this week. Loved the way you interacted with each other--there was just not enough of it. I would have appreciated a week of domestic tranquility before the chemo crisis, but I guess that is the way this set of writers roll. So I will have to change my mantra from "Setbacks are setups for a combeback" to "A comeback is a setup for a series of setbacks."Luv ya!
I had better sign off now, b/c I feel "Debbie Downer" coming out again. We will deal with her later. Keep the faith. Peace out!!

I am really impressed with the dialogue and writing for Lane as of late. I Loved Lily's concern for Cane and tender moment when she touched his face and apologized for worrying him. I still felt his pain even then. You can see that even though Cane said he believes Lily will beat the cancer, you can tell he still had doubts and fear until the doctor confirmed that she was okay. I'm happy that Lily told Cane that she knew having a baby right now was right just as she knew the first time she saw him, that he was her future. Also liked that they talked about wanting a family, and even though Cane isn't sure a baby is the right thing right now because his main focus is getting Lily better, he is willing to compromise. I just love how Lily and Cane love each other. It is precious and beautiful. They are really in tune with the other feeling. Their portrayal of a couple in love and married is wwaayyy too real! Chalk it up to incredible acting abilities.

On a sidenote, did anyone else notice that Lily is not wearing her rings?

I loved everything about this epi and can't wait to see what's ahead for the most beautiful, fascinating and electrifying couple on Daytime!

Hello "LANE" family,
How's everyone doing? Is everyone enjoying their Saturday? Thank God for the weekend!!! Daniel Goddard and Christel Khalil Hensley were loving, outstanding, fabulous, phenomenal, passionate, and sexiness personified!!! DG and CKH were "sooooo hot and loving" they could have melted a dozen igloos ("wooooeeee")!!!! I just had to get this off of my chest. I know they are both happily married, but I tell I have never seen a soap couple who seems so "in tune" with each other. Well I will come back and post my thoughts later on today or tomorrow.

Hey there g4'love the post I hadn't noticed but she probably removed them after she was admitted to the floor 'cause she got sick. She'll wear them again after she's d/c from the hospital.
MsSuperSuds is right you do have to surrender such items after admission, & in some procedures they do have to remove permanent dental work and the glasses are usually kept in the pt's drawer unless he/she is in the room resting and needs them to read or watch tv while recuperating.

Olivia is holding Grace rocking her softly while Ethan is sleeping soundly in his crib. “I’m sorry I wasn’t here when you delivered the twins; I was stuck at the airport on my way home from Nate’s” she explained
Lily “Don’t worry about it, I had plenty of help;I did send him a picture of the twins yesterday though;any chance he’ll be moving back to GC?”
Aunt Liv looked at the baby who was looking at her one minute while alternating kicking her arms and legs and staring at the bright room the next second. “Not at the moment, he loves working at John’s Hopkins & I suspect he met someone special even though he won’t tell me about her yet.”
Lily “Well maybe he wants to be sure and he’s just not ready yet.”

Chancellor’s Mansion
Katherine “Tell me Jill” she said sipping her coffee “how are things going with this Langley fellow”
Jill “Mother, you just can’t help meddling in my life can you” she responded teasingly
Katherine “What, a mother can’t be concerned about her daughter?”
Jill “Well, we are doing great actually but Langley had to go back and check on some things back home. But I tell you he is something else” she said thoughtfully.
Katherine “You know sooner or later you are going to have to make a decision & any time you’re ready my offer still stands” she reminded Jill
Jill “Thanks mother, I know” she replied smiling back at her.

The Athletic Club
Cane’s on the phone while waiting for his order “So is everything completed? All right I’ll come by in the morning and check things out. All right, thanks” (Here’s your order, sir) “Thank you”
Colleen “Cane hi” she greeted him with a hug “So how are the cherubs this morning”
Cane smile at the description “They are fine, just picking up some breakfast for Lily”
Colleen “Good, I have to go but don’t forget if you guys need a babysitter, I’m your man or woman in this case”

Newman Ranch/Sharon and Nick’s Place
The kitchen
Faith “I’m four” she said to her brother holding up three fingers who was holding her.
Noah “You are?” he asked gently adjusting her fingers to four.
Sharon and Nick were making pancakes “Hand me that plate, thanks”
Nick “You’re growing up fast, aren’t you angel?”
Sharon “Actually, you’re three and three quarters, darling, but you’re going to be four soon”
Faith “I’m four mommy, Noah said!” Faith said with the only logic a child could have making everyone smile.
Nick “Yeah, but don’t grow up too fast though”

Abbot’s Mansion
Billy is holding his son John while Mackenzie was getting ready to for their day out to the zoo.
“…and you know what else they got there, Tigers and Lions”
“Lions” John repeated “Yes Lions and gazelles and monkeys” he continued
Mackenzie “I don’t think they have any gazelles there”
Billy “Yeah, but he doesn’t know that, yet.” He replied as they walked out of the house to the car. “This is going to be a fantastic day, little man”

Mac “Yeah, it is. I have the camera right in my bag”
Billy “That’s right John” he said as he safely strapped John in his seat. “We’ll take lots of pictures too, that way we can embarrass you when you’re fifteen and all your friends come over to hang out at the house”
Mackenzie laughed “Don’t listen to him, we would never do that!” she assured him as started the car.
Billy “Are you kidding me, we are totally gonna do that!” he joked as the backed out of the drive way on their way to the zoo.

That Afternoon / At the hospital cafeteria
Roxanne “”How’s Lily and the kids doing”
Olivia “They are doing well; so uh how do you like your rotation so far”
Roxanne “It’s very interesting, we are starting the Oncology rotation next week so”
Olivia “So what made you decide to be a doctor? Is it something you’ve always wanted to do?” she asked as she cut her sandwich in half.
Roxanne “Pretty much but it wasn’t until I was in junior high and we took a trip to our local hospital back in L.A. & we got to see how a dr.’s day was like and that was that. I knew this is what I wanted to do with my life”

Intercom: Dr. Olivia Winters please report to the emergency room, Dr. Olivia win…

Olivia “That’s me, we’ll catch up later, call me if you need anything, okay” she offered standing up to leave.
Roxanne “I will thanks” she turned back to her meal and took up a conversation with a fellow resident.

Lane’s Home
Lily “Yes, just email me all the information and call Paris this afternoon, make sure all the orders are in, okay. Thanks Eve”
Eve “One more thing, remember that interview you set up with that local designer like a week ago”
Lily “Oh right, thanks for reminding me I completely forgot. Okay, here’s what we are going to do, I know he is a bit over the top, but…”

Eve “Isn’t that the truth! Sorry “she replied the was mortified, cause she couldn’t afford to loose this job. Then Lily laughed surprising her “I know but his designs are very original, and the fact that he is a local talent is great.”
Eve “I know Mrs. Ashby, he is just so self involved, and that fake accent, please. He is not rude though I’ll give him that. So do you want me to reschedule?”
Lily “No, actually, I want you do it. I know you’ve never done this kind of thing, but you’re very good with people.”
Eve “Do I ever, thank you so much! But what if I mess up” she asked a little worried
Lily responded gently “Just remember this is business, keep your personal thoughts to yourself, think you can handle it?”
Eve “Yes, yes, I can do that” (How hard can it be) she thought to her self.

Cane “Was that the office?” he asked pouring her a glass of water.
Lily “Yeah” she said with a sigh. “That was the Eve” she stretched out her arms and back."I suspect there's some rivalry going on between her and the new designer" she sighed again
Cane “Come on, you need to relax. He led her to the chair and gently kneaded her shoulders.
Lily “Relax, I could use some of that.” She closed her eyes and leaned back “That feels so good”
Cane leaned and kissed the top of her head “I have good news”

She opened her eyes and looked up at him “Mmmgh I love good news”
Cane “The daycare is now officially open at your office and the owners of this place left me a message this morning, they’ve accepted our offer to buy this place” he explained
Lily sat up “You’re right, that is good news, we can add to the place like we talked about before!” she exclaimed happily.
Cane “I know, I guess they decided to stay in England after all”
Lily “I guess so. You know what we should do something like that when we’re old and gray.”
Cane “What, go to England”
Lily “You say that like it’s a bad thing! No I meant we should go somewhere else, maybe travel, and enjoy the world more”
Cane “Yeah, we should, someday”

Genoa City Police Department
Detective Gill was sitting behind his desk finishing up the paper work that never seems to end. “What a day” he thought to himself. Then his thoughts went back to the woman he was meeting tonight. For the first time in a long time work didn’t come first. He loved what he did, but he couldn’t wait for the day to end.

At the hospital
For the tenth time that hour Dr. Olivia Winters looked at her watch. She couldn’t remember the last time she was so distracted by someone.
Hamilton’s Studio
Devon “Okay, play chord again, this time in C Major” he requested as his phone started to ring. He was instructing the band from GCU with a song that they were due to perform at a play that week.

Chancellor Industry
Neil put down the phone just as Katherine walked into his office “Katherine, I’m glad you’re here, I just closed the deal with the distributors in China and Brazil, all that’s needed on that front is your signature. I’ll have the papers ready before I leave”
Katherine “Ah yes, yes, that’s, that’s good news indeed. Still no luck with the Paris?”
Neil “Still no luck”
Katherine “What do you make of it”
Neil “I have a theory”

Colleen’s Office
He knocked lightly on the door “Come in” Colleen called out “hey Daniel, what’s up”
Daniel “I just came over from the university and I was wondering do you mind if I stayed late today, I promised some of the art students I would show them some pieces, maybe give them a lesson on some of the art. I know it’s late and I should have asked you earlier but I got held up in a meeting…
Colleen “Sure that’s fine, I was actually on my way out”
Daniel “Thanks I appreciate that”
Colleen “Sure, see you in the morning” she said heading out.

A few minutes later
Another knock on the door “Hello, Miss Carlton?” she called opening the door. “Oh sorry, you’re not miss Carlton…
Daniel smiled at that “No, you just missed her though, she left like a minute ago. Do you need any help or…
She replied “I just had a message for her is all” pause “I’m Eve by the way, in case you wondered”
Daniel “Daniel, Daniel Romalloti, nice to meet you” she had the most unusual accent; he wondered where she was from and those lips…
Eve cleared he throat and Daniel realized he was staring “You okay?” she asked him smiling a little
Daniel looked away a little embarrassed (what was the matter with, the last time he’d been smitten by a woman was…) “Yeah, yeah just fine” he replied brushing his hair back.

That Evening/At the Carlton’s
“Jt are you home” she called closing the door carrying a bag with her right hand “I come bearing food” she continued as she headed to the kitchen.
Jt entered a minute later “Hey” he kissed her cheek. “Hey” she replied “What a day!”
Jt “That bad huh” he inquired
Colleen “No I’m just tired” she said taking out plates and putting them on the table.
Jt “Here sit, I will serve you” he pulled out a chair for her and took out a beer from the fridge.
Colleen “So how was your day” she asked accepting the beer from him.

The Athletic Club
Detective Gill stood up as his date arrived “You look absolutely beautiful tonight”
Olivia “Thanks you don’t look so bad yourself.” He pulled the chair out for her “Thanks”
She looked at him and smile “I like this”
He looked at her and his heart beat a little fast than usual “I like it too”

At the Winters’
Karen “We should take some of this food to Cane and Lily’s place. I bet with the newborns they don’t have as much free time as they used to and they could probably use some help”
Neil “Yeah, I am a grand father, can you believe that. I tell you it is a good feeling.” He said putting his arms around her.
Karen “Yeah, I Love you.”
Neil “Love you too”

A Month later / Monday Morning
Colleen “Mom, I have the best news” she said to her mother over the phone
Traci “Tell me”
Colleen “Mom, I’m getting married, I’m getting married soon!”
Traci “Honey that’s good news. I’ll be home soon okay. I love you so much, sweetie”
Colleen “I love you too mom. I’ll see you soon, okay bye”

As soon as she ended that phone call, she tried Lily’s number again “Hey guess what!”
Lily “You sound excited”
Colleen “I am, Jt proposed to me last night! I’m getting married Lily, can you believe it!”
Lily “That’s great news Coll, congratulations!”
Colleen “I just wanted to let you know, we have a lot of planning to do!”
Lily “Don’t worry, I’ll take care of everything” she told her best friend.

Lane’s House / the nursery
Cane “Was that Colleen?” he asked as he helped Lily fold the children’s laundry
Lily “Yeah, Jt finally proposed to her, isn’t that great!. You know what this calls for?”
Cane “A lot of women invading our home until the wedding’s over?” he asked with a little smile
Lily “Well…yeah, but it also calls for a lot of planning not to mention…”
Cane “Let me guess, a lot of late night phone calls being made”

Lily “Man, it’s like you can just read my mind” she teased narrowing her eyes a bit.
Cane “That’s because I can, baby” he leaned over towards her and kissed her “I also know what you’re thinking right now”
“Is that right?” she responded putting her arms around her.
“You’re thinking it’s a good thing the kids are still sleeping” he checked the clock on the wall “for at least another hour” he told her in a low voice
Lily “You my darling, just read my mind.” She replied as he picked her up and walked out the door.

→3. Jonathan Neil Ashby had taken a lot more of his grandfather’s features except for the eyes which were undeniably his father’s. (The business man)
→4. A few years later they adopted Alexander Ashby (the FBI agent) and Rose Ashby (the Nurse Practitioner), a brother and sister who had lost their mother to leukemia. They were both two and one at the time, respectively. (As soon as Lily and Cane met them they knew they were meant to be part of their family; they made their family complete)
→5. A year later after they’d decided they had all the children they would need; they got another last surprise in form of a girl. Catherine “cat” Colleen Ashby (the model). She looked just like her mother except for the eyes, she had the most unusual eyes beyond which lay hidden depths and passion as they would later discover. Lily called them cat eyes and that’s what she was known as just Cat.}

Thanks, Lanealways! That was an interesting read. Luved it especially the part about the next epilogue. How many children is that? Five or six?? Cane and Lily really wanted a big brood of children, didn't they? This ought to be interesting. Would love to have had Y&R develop them like this instead of all the crap that we have been given.

Thanks again for supplying such interesting reading. They are so full of love for each other and everybody else. I wonder how anyone could ever call this couple boring! Excuse me, except when they pull everyone else into their sphere just to boost their visibility among the viewers. I hate both that and the characters who are thrown into their paths. Otherwise, I love Lily & Cane--no matter what they do--even being marooned on the orange sofa!!! I simply cannot say that about any other couple past, present or immediate future on the GC canvass.

Good Evening, Prince Charming and Pretty Princess -

HOLY CATS!!! What a great week it's been. Where
to start - I loved all the flirting, the touching, the eye contact. I LOVE how Lily is wearing her wedding rings again. I say about time. Although, I wish we could have seen Cane put Lily's rings back on her finger. But, none the less, she's wearing her wedding rings again.
I really LOVED the bookstore scene
and how Lily is into retro. I wish we could see
more of the two of you hanging out at the bookstore.
I love the whole retro thing. The whole cookbook thing
and how Lily planned to cook for Cane that evening.
LOVE how Lily is being more open about her love
for Cane and not so afraid to show it in front of Neil!
Made me giggle when Cane told her she was beautiful and that if he was Capt Kirk and she was a Klingon,

Hello fellow Lane fans. I would like to put a question out there. What do you think about Lily wanting a baby now?

I am so happy they are back together as husband and wife. She seems to be more in love with him then ever. There scenes have been so loving. I love how Lily is being as affectionate as Cane has always been. He is the one who does a lot of the touching. But on Friday's show her caressing his face was just so sweet. Having said all that, now the baby question has come up. I understand why she wants a baby. Faced with her own mortality she wants to fight with everything she has. What better motivation then to fight to live for your future child. But I also see Neal's points about her getting her heart broken if something happens to the eggs or the surrogate doesn't get pregnant. I don't know about the rest of you but I don't think I could go through them anticipating having a baby and losing it again. I just couldn't watch that. So ladies share with me what do you think about baby Ashby coming so soon. btw there are posters on this board saying she shouldn't have a baby because he/she could end up growing up without a mother. I don't worry about that at all. But even if that scenario comes into play. I am for sure this baby will be loved so much and well taken care of by Cane because he/she will have been conceived because of a deep love between its Mother and Father.

I do not want a baby right now for them,I need more developement and backstory for Cane. I want lily to get well and enjoy her life and get back into the working world.
Also if they do go with a surrogate I want someone exciting to do it and maybe a little dangerous. Maybe after the baby is born to kidnapped him/her and we would get to see Cane in action trying to get back his child.
Lanealways can do one of her story about Lane kidnapped baby and how Cane go about getting back his and lily's baby.

annyhall in responding to your question. I will be happy either way. If Lane decides to do the IVF fine, if not I'm fine with that too. If a married couple discuss having a child through this method, I think it is their perrogative and no one should have a voice in it except for the couple. I do appreciate Neil's input as Lily's father, but beyond that he needs to but out and let she and Cane decide without making them feel guilty or feel pressured. If Lily and Cane are blessed/lucky enough to conceive a child out of two eggs, then I believe it was meant to be. None of us know where Lane's s/l is going with the surrogacy, but we all may be pleasantly suprised, so I chose to wait and see how things unfold.
