I hope the writers keep Cane and Lily together. They have been through alot. Why let them get married just to break them up now. Hopefully they will kiss and makeup and move on with their lives.

Hi Lane fans, I have not posted much lately because the writers had me so mad at how they threw Cane under the bus to make their s/l work. I did not like them making Cane a liar but I could handle that BUT to say he knew all along that Delia was not his just negates everything we saw...hot elevator angst and kiss...his marrying Chloe when he clearly hated her and on and on!

The fight between Cane and Lily was just spellbinding in the intensity, love and passion that was displayed...WOW! Absolutely incredible acting by CK and DG...I could definitely feel their pain. DG especially in his scenes in the hospital when he begged Jill to love him just a little bit, my heart was breaking for Cane...he seemed just like a little boy wanting his Mom's love. Lane deserves a better s/l than this...SO I will choose to view the older clips exactly the way I viewed them in the past. This s/l was an ugly rewrite and I'm just NOT going to let it TAINT the beauty of the older original scenes!

Today when I was reading the article on John Driscoll (P4) I see that the clear intention is to couple him with Chloe, I could not help but to think that Chloe gets first pretend Chancellor (Cane)..then an Abbott...a baby..and now another Chancellor! Lily gets pretend Chancellor (Cane) who is now being outcast as a liar and con...a puppy and cancer. Where is the fairness here? Not too hard to see who MAB's favorite is! I know that the love that Cane and Lily have for each other will hopefully bring them back together (MAB willing)! This couple will make it through this garbage...and emerge stronger than ever through this journey! Lane Fan forever!

Hi fineladydee, and Sudds, I am just as disgusted as anybodoy, I can take most of the lying accept, I just can't get past him knowing that the baby was not his, he knew it had to have been Billys' and he tried to take billy and the little twit to court. They did a hatchet job on Cane which is like mudd thrown in the fans faces. How can Cane be redeemed after this? Can someone help me out on this please? I can't see it, I just can't. I want to see, and I want to believe it, but the writing has got to be pretty darn good and make good sense at this point. You know what guys, as disapointed as I am, I still love Cane and Lily. Its going to take a while for me to get over this.

Lily is going to need Cane's love and support now more than ever. They will find their way back to each other and I am very anxious to see this process Love Lane

Auntirhee you may have doubts but I have none that Cane will be redeemed. At the heart of this character is a good guy, whose experiences had him make good and bad choices. This s/l may be distatseful to you and things have been rewritten, but none of this blinds me to what makes me love the couple of Cane and Lily. You don't have to like all the parts of the story, to appreciate the final story that is being told. Cane loves Lily and that's a fact. In soap operas there are many ups and downs. DG said it best last night on blogtalk that in order to appreciate the joys in life you must experience lows unfortunately. No characters can continue and stand out on a soap without having drama. So all I can say to you is try to see the story for what it is and look forward what good in my opinion is coming.

Charme, I understand and agree with all that you say, but I just think that this writing team has gone overboard to beat this couple down. Amber/Cane and Chloe/Cane remained together and married longer than Lily and Cane were reunited and married--March 2 until about July 4. How long is that? Four months? Chloe stayed in a miserabel marriage to him for 8 months. The writers made sure that they deChancellorized Cane before they allowed Lily to have him. So to me, the writing and storylines given to them speaks volumes about where the writers heads, hearts, mimds and pens are heading. And the direction that they want Y&R taking is not with Lily and Cane at the forefront as THE most popular couple ever on the show.


Ms Suds I agree that the couples you mention do not go through what Lane goes through. But there is no passion for the Characters by their fans. They know we Laner's are passionate about Lane. They know we want joy and happiness for them always. They know they are very popular. So that is how they keep us engaged, by putting them through trials and tribulation. Because if the truth be known when they are happy some of us become disinterested we stop voting, viewing, writing. We tend to think my Lane is okay so I'll go on my way. But happiness is the death knell for a couple and I would rather they go through sorrows and know they will reunite with joy. I rather have them on my screen unhappy(i.e. the argument) then off my screen happy!

Showing some love for my fave couple on this Friday afternoon. I look forward to the ride to the next Lane reunion. I want to continue to give thanks to Daniel Goddard and Christel Khalil on their amazing work these last few weeks. They have created must see television and I am in awe! Long Live Lane .

Thank you annyhall and mssupersuds I truly believe that we have the makings of a good s/l for our favs Cane and Lily. I know it's hard watching their love be put to the test over and over again, but damnit I find myself enjoying it . Every part of the story isn't perfect or to my liking, but as a whole I am finding it to be some entertaining drama. Next week seems to promise to be even better.

an Emmy award next year and win! I am trying to think
postive about this cancer story coming up. I am a die-hard
fan of this couple. I do hope Lily can have lots and lots
of babies for Cane. THINK POSTIVE LANE FANS AND KEEP VOTING
FOR OUR FAVORITE COUPLE!
