The Young and the Restless - MESSAGE BOARDS

Good morning, Lily and Cane! I fell asleep last night with your predicament on my mind; I just could not shake it for some reason. The writers have really dealt this couple a harsh blow. I still feel that Cane Loves Lily, but who is he really--especially since he is not who he said he was.

I don't understand how the writers can re-write this crap and turn that whole baby daddy mess around so that it is Cane's fault. They know why that marriage happened; they were trying to destroy Cane and Lily. And they are still working at it. The main goal was to deChancellorize Cane so that Lily could never reproduce an heir to that fortune. I really don't care and never really cared about Cane being a Chancellor. I just loved their friendship, courtship, and romance. They were the best that Y&R had to offer and now they have totally screwed that up.

I still love Cane but I cannot look at Cane in the same way ever again. He is going to have to do a LOT of groveling and making up to Lily before I ever trust him again. I can imagine that she feels the same way. That break up and marriage to the Troll took a heavy toll on Lily. He saw her suffering for five whole months b/f she met Billy, but he chose to protect his lie and life by staying married to that dwarf. And Lily was still suffering being with Billy even though she did not want to admit it.

Cane is not the only one who needs redemption. Y&R needs to redeem itself. All of the characters on the show have been tarnished, beaten to a pulp, dumbed down and crippled so much that I don't recognize them at all. For the way they are treating Cane right now, I care even less about the hypocrites. Jill is the only one with whom I empathize. She is hurting just like Lily. Kay needs to be pushed over a cliff.

I really don't care to watch any others except Lily and Cane. They are still the only draw to this soap for me. I am totally turned off by the whole show. I can walk away at anytime. MAB has done an excellent job of destroying the last good thing on the show. Yep, they will reconcile and YEP, they will be together, but I don't think that I can look at them the same way ever again. Maybe I will get over this phase of Cane & Lily's relationship and maybe I won't. Who knows? I don't! MAB really knows how to destroy!!

I still love Cane but he is going to have to do an awful lot of explaining, apologizing, groveling, and making up to Lily before I can ever see her with him again. They are still the only characters worth watching while the rest of the show has gone to the dogs. Luv ya, Lily and Cane. Back to the top for you!

It is just starting to sink in that this could possibly be the end of Cane and Lily. Lily might could get past the PC3 impersonation but the Delia situation is a lot to swallow. Now that tptb has done a 360 degree turn on the Cane character, I say to them what was the point of the lavish wedding, sweet personal thoughts and the beautiful vows? Why give Lane fans that hope and just pull the rug out from under them? Was it all a sick, cruel joke?

This development is depressing to say the least. I read a few weeks ago in SID that this reveal will allow another development and evolution of Cane. DG (Cane)stated he does not think anyone is going to expect what is coming. When the truth is finally revealed, it is going to be a dozzy. It is a solid piece of storytelling and plot twists. So, it is not over it seems. There is more to come, and God knows what it is. I am still a Lane fan until the end, and I hope the end is not soon.

Good evening Lily and Cane! I have said this many times before and I will say it again. At the end of the day, I do think that Cane will be Philip Chancellor III. Even Cane does not know that yet. PC3 has some real stories to tell. I am waiting with baited breath!

Think about it! If your were PC3 hiding in the outback of Australia from your family, would you hand your life, wife, and child over to just anybody? There is more to this than meets the eye. Cane is not just somebody PC3 picked up off the street and befriended. PC3 knew something about him before he sent him to GC. I am betting that is the story.

The one thng that will not change is the public humiliation that Cane has to face right now. Everyone in GC, every viewer, and every LANE fan is going to remember that and it cannot be swept under the rug and forgotten. That IMPOSTER label is going to stick with him--no matter what. MAB cannot fix that--no matter how hard she tries. Her writers cannot write a plausible storyline, let alone rebuild a reputation. One's reputation and good name are precious and valuable. Once tarnished, they are tough possessions to restore. Stolen items can be replaced quicker!
