The reason this s/l with PC3 is getting any kind of traction is because pple want to see how Lane will come through this trial of their love and it doesn't matter whether it is the haters or the lovers of Lane. They are all interested in Lane, no one would care about PC3 if they hadn't attached him to Lane. Besides what I hear is that Chloe is going to finally get her Chancellor PCIV! Isn't this character, PCIV, a little too young for Chloe. She is about 29 or 30 years old and PC4 is about 20 years old. Besides, she already has a child. Nina is going to have a cow! A wholy holy holey cow! Then all my wishes for Nina would come true!! |

I'm a Lane fan to the end and I can't be swayed by gossip, speculation, doomsayers, so on and so forth. I hope that all Lane fans can weather the storm, not jump ship, and keep supporting our fabulous couple  (that's what I plan to do). I think the Lane fans get attacked because Lane is an unusual couple. A lot of fan bases wish their couple had this amazing chemistry and love story. There is so much jealousy against Ck I am just amazed. Many think she does not deserve Cane and that she is not portraying the character Lily as she should . Many are angry because Y&R removed DS and replaced her with CK. Even VR fueled the fire against CK with some of the things she said about CK in an interview. I believe there is the element of prejudice as well. Fans wanting Lily with Billy, Cane with Amber or Chloe. I have never seen so many different groups come together to pull one couple apart. And this isn't new it has been going on since they started. These two bring something special to this soap and that is how two people fall in love even when they probably shouldn't and how they stay in love no matter the consequences. With Lane we get a glimpse of what love should be like which is what drew me to them and keeps me as a fan. When the reunite all the angst and attacks are well worth it to me. Esp if we get a Lane baby!!! LLL Annyhall, you have summed my feelings of this couple up perfectly. Well done! The reason I like them so much is because they are so different than the crowd. There is a buzz about them, a draw that you have to watch. I won't put one ahead of the other because at this point I adore them both equally. I root for them separately but together they sizzle. They are my supercouple come rain or come shine. Welcome back MsSuperSuds

You may not have noticed Lily, but she was more popular than Cane in her pairing with Daniel. She also was very popular with Billy as well. I call her the King maker. I personally didn't pay much attention to CAne until he was paired with Lily. They definitely do enhance one another. I know they both have appeal to different pple separately. But now since their pairing it is hard for me to see them seperately and not as a couple. I understand Daily was popular and some thought CK's Lily made Billy hot too but I disagree with the assumption that Daniel Goddard(Cane) who is a great actor needs the character of Lily to make it on Y&R there are some viewers that think Lily makes Cane boring so if Lane should ever break up is Lily over too should she be killed off also? just asking |

The problem with the Chloe s/l was that it was badly written I'm a Lane fan first all the way but the character of Cane(DG) dosen't "need" Lily to shine she may make him more appealing to others imo Cane and Lily make each other hot because I wasn't a fan of the Lily character and certainly didn't care about her prior to Lane either don't get me wrong I'm all about Lane but i would still be a fan of Cane/DG even if Lane weren't together I was a Lily/CK fan long before DG/Cane ever came onto the screen. This young lady just has something special that I like and want to watch. DS did a credible job of playing Lily, but I really did not care one way or another. Lily did not rally "pop" or sizzle on the screen for me until CK came back to claim the role. As for Cane,I really did not notice DG/Cane until he became interested in Lily. He did not really pop or sizzle with either Amber or Heather or any other female that he was tested on screen with, so I am definitely a LANE fan. I love DG as an actor, but I would no longer be interested in him on Y&R if he was paired with some other female. On another show, he could be paired with "the furniture" and I might watch--but not on Y&R!!Other than LANE, the show is so boring I could stop watching right now and not miss a thing. |

So what, my goodness, they are a couple that brought high ratings to the show use them, they will certainly take them far in the soap industry. AS much as I like the veterans, the younger groups are the ones thats going to keep things going. But they cannot do this if this crappy writing keeps going on. I mean for example, they want to make Cane an imposter, but he matched the dna to billy with the cloe baby thing. If his saliva matched, then his blood should to for crying out loud! Now, today I read that when they are all at the mansion, when no one is looking, Cane switches the blood with langleys. Then he tells Jill he is not her son. P3s' blood should prove Cane to be P3, but Cane admits that he is not Jills son. I assume he is just tired of the lying and decides to come clean, once again, I don't know. I thought the reason for writing teams is to feed off each others stories and come up with good stories. I don't know a lot about MAB, but she should really think about what is going on. This is my favorit past time, posting in this board, but enough is enough. Cane and Lilys' wedding vows were so beautiful, what they are bringing out now should have been brought out a long time ago. Instead of the chloe mess, they should have concentrated on the imposter story before he married lily and if there is any good coming out of it, it would have been resolved before they took their vows and it would not look so bad on Canes part. Its getting very hard to do this, if it wasn't for you guys I would have dumped this soap a long time ago, and I was about to with the unrealistic thing with chloe and the baby. Guys I am trying very hard to stay with this, but it is getting very difficult to do. Anyway, I still want to believe that Cane is not an imposter inspight of everything. The end results has got to make sense, a whole lot of sense and I hope it ends in Cane and Lilys favor. Oh, guess who will be back next week, Lilys' BF Colleen, we all know what that is going to be like. You know the bf that slept with lilys ex-husband Daniel. Between she and Neil, they will have her divorced in a heart beat, and lets not forget the almighty Devon.  Guys I need a good dose of something that is going to keep me from letting go. I signed on to twitter and have not twitted a thing since then. I just don't have anything to twit about.  Auntirhee, I know exactly how you feel because I feel the same way. I too am clinging to the fact that when all is said and done Cane is Jill's son. Based on my experience with soaps, it's not as cut and dried as it seems. It is waaaayyyyy too early into the s/l to say this is the bottom line. Now, today's epi really upset me for several reasons: (1) Lily is now suspicious of Cane that she is going behind his back to check up on him (Shows that she doesn't trust him, not a good sign). She told Jill about the calls that Cane made to Langley (Jill is pensive). (2) Cane switched blood samples. (3) Nina went to Neil pretending concern for Lily. (4) Lily defended Cane in front of everybody and when all of this comes out, Lily will be made to look an idiot. I really liked that she has his back, but he shouldn't put her in this position.) (3) Lily asked Cane again if he is keeping something from her about his uncle and he plain, bold-faced lied to her again. I am truly upset because this is not the Cane we know and love. MAB has done a complete 360 degree turn with this character. This is the same person who berated Chloe for hiding her identity. He was disgusted with both Amber and Billy because of their deceptions yet Cane is doing the very same thing. The Cane we knew always, always did the right thing. He would not have lied to Lily over and over again. Where is the man who promised Lily on their wedding night that he will never disappoint her again? Where is the man who told her on their honeymoon that he would never betray her trust in heim? Nor would he have lied to Kay or Jill. It just makes me wonder if MAB is trying to completely destroy this character because in all honesty, I don't see how viewers will like him after all the hypocrisy. I just hope and pray that after every thing Lily went through with Daniel's lies, that should could get past these lies and forgive Cane. But you know what, even though I'm upset, my anger is directed in the right direction - the writers. Y&R is just a complete mess right now and it's all thanks to the writers. |

G4666, these writers are from the show I watched for nearly 10 years, DOOL. I had to quit watching when Marlena started levitating and a few other characters were completely changed. MAB will eventually have to grab control of her show if she wants it to last. Sounds like tomorrows show will be Lane filled. Secretes, secrets and more secrets. |

Hey there Lily and Cane! I read that Lily gives her ring back to Cane. Then I read in another spoiler: Lily refuses to wear Cane's ring. Folks, we are past "the wearing of the rings" stage. Lily and Cane are man & wife! You are married!! That is much deeper than rings. Engagement and wedding rings are symbols and nothing more than that. Two people make the marriage. How much more silly and stupid can these writers get? Who are you writing for? The average viewer is not a silly teenager. Most are adults who understand the difference between rings and a marriage. |

Oustanding post G!!, and exactly my point, what about all of the promises Cane made to Lily, and not to think how he degrated chloe and Billy which they justly deserved. And, Lily just told Cane last week that it did not matter who he was, she still loved him and was not going anywhere. And, has she told him that Olivia told her that there was a problem with her test, no. Now, what do we think about her, its a two way street you know. But inspight of it all, I still love them as a couple and I am not degrading them at all, I know who to blame, its just a shame to give them such crappy writing when they are such a good couple. I can't seem to be able to shake the fact that maybe, they want to take them into different directions. And this could turn into a good thing. But I like them just they way they are, in love with each other. If they want to change them, make them stronger for one another, don't kill their characters altogether. Inspight of the lies, Cane has loved only Lily and none other. He did not give himself to any other woman, even when he was married to chloe, he could not bring himself to even kiss her. Now that was good writing and on point and, that was the Cane we know and I think we still have that part of him. But, what they did to Lily, they had her to sleep with Billy, now that was bad, really bad. IN reality, how could a woman so in love, so easily give herself to another man, in the real world its unreal and you guys know it is. But... thats my girl she certainly stands out from the rest. Putting her infedelities aside, she is a class act. I used to think she was a spoiled brat. But the writing turned her into the perfect lady when she met Cane. You gotta love it! And I still say, their wedding vows were absolutely beautiful, and I only hope that all of the lies and the deceit makes them stronger for each other. I really don't think the split will be for long, but why split them up in the first place. Like I said in my last post, I'm waiting on the end game. This roller coaster ride is making me dizzy. |

Auntirhee I realize that a lot of crap has happened to our favorite couple and often times it has been hard to watch or hang in there, but I'm being optimistic that this s/l has possibilities and will bring good things to our couple. If the couple has no drama or something going on, they tend to be forgotten. I think about other couples that I've enjoyed over the years, Reva and Josh for instance. They went through more stuff, but now looking at it on the tail end, I realize that it all came together to make them an outstanding couple for over 20 years. So please don't take my words the wrong way, it was only my attempt to encourage you (like in the old days As far as Lane fans being attacked with this mess, maybe, just maybe there's a method to the madness Welcome back MsSuperSuds We missed you!!!

I see you are a Phack fan. I would never go into a thread for Phyllis or Jack and call either of them boring. I have to much respect for the non bash threads. I just want to mention that "tossing a ring" back to the giver does not undo the marriage. Lily and Cane are still maried even if she gives the ring back. So why waste precious air time giving a ring back? It means absolutely nothing. Nothing has been stated about a formal separation or a formal divorce. So until that happens, the writers are blowing smoke up "you know where!" I am not even concerned about this little bit of stupidity. LISTEN TO ME, writers: Create something between Lily and Cane that is worthwhile for the viewers to watch while you still have some interested viewers. Very well said MsSuds. |
