They might as well kill him off. You are so right Jack! Lily nor Cane work without the other! No other woman will be accepted with Cane and no other Man will be accepted with Lily. They are already down to 3.4 in the ratings, if they want to see the ratings fall even lower let the put them with someone else. The reason this s/l with PC3 is getting any kind of traction is because pple want to see how Lane will come through this trial of their love and it doesn't matter whether it is the haters or the lovers of Lane. They are all interested in Lane, no one would care about PC3 if they hadn't attached him to Lane. Besides what I hear is that Chloe is going to finally get her Chancellor PCIV! |

Ladies, I definitely agree with both of you, Lily and Cane work better together than with anyone else. I was letting off steam because I had just seen the speculation thread. Lane reminds me of Victor and Nikki in that they belong together no matter who they may be paired with at the time. Long Live Lane |

Guys, I have to come clean with you, and you might get upset with me, but I am so sick of this senseless writing. The only reason I have hung in here as long as I have is because I have become attached to you guys and the board. I am so sick of my intelligence being insulted until... I don't know. And, I keep reading where mab did not like cane and lilys' character because she did not create them. So what, my goodness, they are a couple that brought high ratings to the show use them, they will certainly take them far in the soap industry. AS much as I like the veterans, the younger groups are the ones thats going to keep things going. But they cannot do this if this crappy writing keeps going on. I mean for example, they want to make Cane an imposter, but he matched the dna to billy with the cloe baby thing. If his saliva matched, then his blood should to for crying out loud! Now, today I read that when they are all at the mansion, when no one is looking, Cane switches the blood with langleys. Then he tells Jill he is not her son. P3s' blood should prove Cane to be P3, but Cane admits that he is not Jills son. I assume he is just tired of the lying and decides to come clean, once again, I don't know. I thought the reason for writing teams is to feed off each others stories and come up with good stories. I don't know a lot about MAB, but she should really think about what is going on. This is my favorit past time, posting in this board, but enough is enough. Cane and Lilys' wedding vows were so beautiful, what they are bringing out now should have been brought out a long time ago. Instead of the chloe mess, they should have concentrated on the imposter story before he married lily and if there is any good coming out of it, it would have been resolved before they took their vows and it would not look so bad on Canes part. Its getting very hard to do this, if it wasn't for you guys I would have dumped this soap a long time ago, and I was about to with the unrealistic thing with chloe and the baby. Guys I am trying very hard to stay with this, but it is getting very difficult to do. Anyway, I still want to believe that Cane is not an imposter inspight of everything. The end results has got to make sense, a whole lot of sense and I hope it ends in Cane and Lilys favor. Oh, guess who will be back next week, Lilys' BF Colleen, we all know what that is going to be like. You know the bf that slept with lilys ex-husband Daniel. Between she and Neil, they will have her divorced in a heart beat, and lets not forget the almighty Devon. |

Although, sometimes I feel that they are trying to give Cane another kind of character since they brought the imposter thing into light so late in his time on the show. It just seem as though they could have come up with another way to introduce this storyline. Right now after the wedding, it really sucks to no end.

Things can't be bright and sunny all the time. You know as well as I do all soap characters go through ups and downs and highs and lows. I say hold on and let it all play out before giving up. I'm a Lane fan to the end and I can't be swayed by gossip, speculation, doomsayers, so on and so forth. I hope that all Lane fans can weather the storm, not jump ship, and keep supporting our fabulous couple  (that's what I plan to do).

I love this Non Bash thread, the reason why is that the Lane fans can freely come here and rant and get it off their chest. When someone rants that shows me they are about to give up but don't want to. Sometimes we just need someone to encourage us to hold on. And if you don't rant how are we supposed to know you need to be encouraged. I heard someone say they were afraid that MAB could be trying to dwindle the fanbase of Lane down by changing Cane so drastically. If that is so that makes me want to dig my heals in even more. Until this storyline is over and they have explained to me why CAne is doing what he is doing, I am not going any place. These are the things that give me hope about this s/l. First Cane loves Lily,Cane is remorseful for this lie, CAne is full of fear and worry so that explains why he is doing some of the things he is doing and Cane truly has changed and brought much joy to Jill, K and his beloved Lily. He longs for a family and believes he cannot be loved. How can wee throw are hands up and walk away when MAB has given us this glimpse of who this man really is. No matter his actions the man we have seen confiding in Lily, loving Lily, proposing time and time again to Lily afraid of losing Lily is the man we know as CAne. And this is what keeps me on the train when the track get rocky. btw. in the KTLA interview both CK and DG said Cane was not evil so there is a good explaination for Cane's actions if we will all just hold on. Long Live Lane!!! |

I think the Lane fans get attacked because Lane is an unusual couple. A lot of fan bases wish their couple had this amazing chemistry and love story. There is so much jealousy against Ck I am just amazed. Many think she does not deserve Cane and that she is not portraying the character Lily as she should . Many are angry because Y&R removed DS and replaced her with CK. Even VR fueled the fire against CK with some of the things she said about CK in an interview. I believe there is the element of prejudice as well. Fans wanting Lily with Billy, Cane with Amber or Chloe. I have never seen so many different groups come together to pull one couple apart. And this isn't new it has been going on since they started. These two bring something special to this soap and that is how two people fall in love even when they probably shouldn't and how they stay in love no matter the consequences. With Lane we get a glimpse of what love should be like which is what drew me to them and keeps me as a fan. When the reunite all the angst and attacks are well worth it to me. Esp if we get a Lane baby!!! LLL |

The problem with the Chloe s/l was that it was badly written I'm a Lane fan first all the way but the character of Cane(DG) dosen't "need" Lily to shine she may make him more appealing to others imo Cane and Lily make each other hot because I wasn't a fan of the Lily character and certainly didn't care about her prior to Lane either don't get me wrong I'm all about Lane but i would still be a fan of Cane/DG even if Lane weren't together |

She also was very popular with Billy as well. I call her the King maker. I personally didn't pay much attention to CAne until he was paired with Lily. They definitely do enhance one another. I know they both have appeal to different pple separately. But now since their pairing it is hard for me to see them seperately and not as a couple. |

Auntirhee I realize that a lot of crap has happened to our favorite couple and often times it has been hard to watch or hang in there, but I'm being optimistic that this s/l has possibilities and will bring good things to our couple. If the couple has no drama or something going on, they tend to be forgotten. I think about other couples that I've enjoyed over the years, Reva and Josh for instance. They went through more stuff, but now looking at it on the tail end, I realize that it all came together to make them an outstanding couple for over 20 years. So please don't take my words the wrong way, it was only my attempt to encourage you (like in the old days As far as Lane fans being attacked with this mess, maybe, just maybe there's a method to the madness Welcome back MsSuperSuds We missed you!!!
