Auntirhee, I think Cane's story has many twist and turns that will shock all concerned. It is too easy to believe Cane simply came to town to con the Chancellor's without a reason. PC3 motivated him to come but the question that has to be answered is why. I saw the epi for Monday, Lily tells Cane that she does not care what his name is and that she isn't going anywhere. I hope the writers surprise us all by letting Lily fight for her man this time around. It is obvious that they love each other so they need to allow Lily to stand strong through good times and bad.

Hi Auntirhee, I concur with g4666. Usually in soaps especially Y&R when the answer appears to be obvious and in your face that is not the answer. This plot will have many twists that will probably lead up to a reveal in July. I can only hope that Cane's twist is that he thinks he's a fake, but it turns out that he is really a Chancellor.

I do believe that Lily will leave Cane if only for a short time but Lily in her conversation Thursday brought up their promise to each other never to lie to each other. When she finds out that Cane has been lying to her this will break her trust in him and she will leave if only to sort out who Cane really is and what is true and what is not. In the end I believe that Lily will know that the one truth that matters most is that Cane loves her with his every breath that he takes, and this will bring her back. Also unfortunantely we know she will need him and his love to help her through the worst thing to happen to her in her short life.

I know a lot of people are loving that these s/ls are giving Cane and Lily two great front burner stories but I just want to say I could think of better s/ls that would not destroy: 1) Cane's character to a point where he will be almost unredeemable and 2) Destroying Lily's and Cane's chance of ever having a Lane baby. I will love and support Cane and Lily, Lane no matter what but these s/ls are very hard to watch and are definitely very heartbreaking for a Lane fan. Lane Fan Forever!

Hi guys, Findladydee, Lanefan, Charme, G4666 and everyone, thanks for your responses, I needed that. I am in agreeance with everyone, but I am truly hoping that this is a twist that will fool us all. Y&R sure do know how to hide the pieces to the puzzle. I know that p3 is behind everything, but why is Cane saying to him on the phone, that since he did not call him back, he is going to do what he has to do, and he can stop hiding or something to that affect, even Mrs C. appear to be in doubt now, although, I think she knows more that she is telling. I can't get it out my mind that Mrs C said the Cane only knows what he has been told, this just make so much sense to me. Its like taking a child, your own or anyones elses as a baby, raising this child, teaching them about everything, and when that child is all grown up. It can only relate to what he has been told as a child. But the twist is, Cane is saying what if I am not a chancellor, is this what is really frightening him? Is he now having doubts about who he is, he is so scared and my heart just goes out to him . Guys I think I am in denial, because the terrible part to me is, He became even more worried when Nina the nosey one decided she wanted to dig up the grave. I know it for her sons sake that is in Iraqu but she also is determined to prove Cane a fraud and she is so sure of herself. I have this gut feeling that when Cane takes this test, its going to blow up in her face!! But its still the fact of what connection Cane and Phillip have to each other. Which brings up another question;

Can someone tell me exactly how Cane came to GC? I was doing what I call spot watching then because I was upset that Nick left Sharon for Phyllis and did not watch for a long, long time. I really did not watch that much when Cane was fooling around with Amber. I only started when I captured he and Lily one day. And from that moment I was hooked on the love affair. So, how did he come to GC? Answers anyone?

I'm loving and supporting Cane and Lily through all the drama, twists, and turns I believe that pain, angst, redemption, and much love is on the horizon for our couple. The greatest of these being love, because it will be that strong love (and devotion) that will help Lane get through what is sure to be some rough rough times ahead. Love this couple

btw Auntirhee I can't give any answers to your question about Cane, because I had stopped watching Y&R, until I saw Cane and Lily's love story unfolding.

Auntirhee, sorry I'm in that same boat. I had stopped watching until I came across Cane and Lily and was hooked ever since. That is why I hope it will always be Cane and Lily because if not, I will stop watching again.

As for Cane, It is maddening that tptb are writing him to continuously lie to Lily. Lily has asked him over and over what is wrong, which were perfect opportunities to tell her but he denies that anything is wrong when Lily knows better. This is not the Cane that we love. He was so disgusted and appalled at what Amber, Chloe and Billy did. But yet it appears he is doing the same thing.

Daytime Confidential is saying that Lily has cancer. After reading that, a thought came to me. If Cane thinks he is stressed now, wait until Lily gets sick. I could just see Neil and Devon keeping Cane away from Lily while she is fighting cancer. I believe that Cane's s/l will probably climax during Lily's sickness. Lily will possibly end up in hospital where Neil and Devon will prevent Cane from seeing/visiting her using the excuse to say that all his drama in his life is not good for her. I personally do not think they have the right because Cane is Lily's husband but I can see them doing this. What do you guys think? And do you think they have the right? Thanks.

Love Cane and Lily, and they will certainly get their share of drama this summer. Like I've said before I think this will make Lane stronger couple in the end

g4666 I think with the Lily s/l of cancer, I'm not quite sure how Neil and Devon will treat Cane. You're probably right with your take on it, because we know their usual m.o.s are to act like a##es where Cane is concerned. But I have to say also that although I want Lily to have Cane's baby, I kinda like how this s/l sounds, and I can just imagine DG and CK playing this out as Cane and Lily.
So my plea to tptb and the writers leave the option open for her to have a baby.
