The Young and the Restless - MESSAGE BOARDS

I just watched Friday's US Lane clip on utube, all I can say is we are definitely in for a treat this summer! The intense chemistry between Lily and Cane was in full force as usual..but there was also the panic in Cane's voice. You know things are about to get strange when Cane takes advice from resident crazy Mary Jane .
Knowing all this I am still steady in my support of this couple. With the name I've chosen how could I feel any other way, lol. The twist and turns of plots is what keeps the fans coming back for more. Long Live Lane!!!

Lanefan, I watch the clip of today's show. All I can say this is soapy goodness. I am loving Cane with a little bit of an edge. Just delicious when he was talking to cat woman! The kiss is now up there with the divorce party kiss for me. I am really enjoying this storyline for them. To me it is the best storyline they have had in a long time. I hope they don't totally screw it up with bad writing! We have been so spoiled this week. I hope we don't see another lane drought next week! All in All I am very pleased with DG's performance and CK's performance in being the supportive wife. She is really showing us how much she loves Cane!

Yes, today's kiss is awesome, it had heat and passion but I still think the divorce party kiss stands alone( it was their first step into couple-hood). I think they should have played that scene out a bit more. Lily had to see the desperation in her loves eyes, she needed to stay around to ask questions. I can't say enough good things about the performances of Daniel and Christel, they are doing the dang thang! Never before have I seen two actors in daytime compliment each other the way these two do. It would be a shame if MAB and her creative(?) team fouled up this duo as they have done the boards favorite ( yeah, I'm talking about Shick). The optimist in me says that Lane will be fine when all is said and done.

Anny and Lanefan thank you for your detailed posts re the amazing kiss. I am glad I'm able to read about it because I haven't had a chance to watch it yet. After reading your descriptive posts, I have this urge to see it, like Now! so I'm hoping I will be able to watch it tonight.

I agree wholeheartedly that Lane do complement each other very well indeed. They are the best looking, most loving, affectionate couple on soaps today, and I for one hope they stay together throughout this upcoming storm. They are different from other couples, the little things they do show how different and in love they truly are.

Do you know what is upsetting and disappointing in Y&R recently?

(1) Possible barren s/l for Lily – Why Lily? Y&R make her the poster girl for unhappiness. Lily is a beautiful, loving, healthy young woman who deserves all the happiness she could find. She has been through so much paint and heartache over the past couple years that I find it hard to swallow that the writers are actually going in this direction. She very much wants to have a child and she should be allowed. For several reasons: she loves her husband and wants to give him his heart’s desire – a family of his own. She has lots of love to share and is willing to share it with her biological child. And last, but certainly not least, she deserves this so much more than any other character. Cane makes her happy. He worships the ground she walks on and he thinks she is sexy, beautiful and perfect. I remember when she was pregnant the first time, she told Cane she love the "her" that she see in his eyes. So based on this, the only next logical step would be for Lily to give Cane a child that she carries to term, not another woman.

(2) The Exhumation: Firstly, the fact that the Y&R writing team expect viewers to believe that after 20+ years a body is still intact in it’s coffin even though many, many years have passed. I know soaps are basically about drama, unexpected happenings, blah, blah, blah but at least make it credible. There is no way Nina could exhume Philip’s body to do DNA tests because after a few years a body decays (turns to dust). Secondly, the mounting wrong DNA results. I mean come on. It seems Y&R thinks we are idiots. Thirdly, IMHO, the Y&R writers continue to make a mockery of the medical profession. The plots on Y&R are so frustrating and unbelievable that it’s reached an all-time low that it’s not even funny.

First I would like to basically cosign with the rest of you that enjoyed Friday's episode. It was great and the emotion displayed was awesome. My heart so went out to Cane when he kissed Lily and was looking at his passport (contemplating leaving). Cane and Lily for me are getting better each day. I also must say that I liked Mary Jane's advice to Cane. I know the woman's crazy, but darnit I thought she gave some good/sensible advice. Loving Lane and I can't wait to see more

Good morning guys, its 10:00am and I have to get to work, but I have a question and I need to see your responses. As much as it is breaking my heart, all of the evidence is pointing to Cane and his reactions are so real, it looks like he is a fraud, is he or do you believe that this is a twisted storyline that could turn around and surprise us? Will he and Lily break up because of it? Maybe he is not a Chancellor, Lily keeps telling him it doesn't matter and she will never leave him again, but of course we know this may be true and it may not, right g4666? From viewing the epi, I think something else happened other than a baby switch, I still say that Cane only knows what he has been told. But the reality of Cane not being who he say he is, is very predictable. What do you think? Will pull your responses up later guys, Enjoy the day!!
